Lovely atmosphere but mediocre service. Right in the center. The worst part was having a piece of meat on top of my vegetarian flammkuchen which annoyed me so much. One of the waiters apologized for it but this unfortunately does not make up for it. I would not recommend this place to a vegan or vegetarian person. Besides, the options are very limited for them. It is also overpriced for the taste.

Right beside the "Brauhaus Goslar". They offer the Gose Beer from the Brauhaus (see my review). Beside this and some major brands they have a "Barbarossa". It's a dark Pils what surprised me. Normally German Dark is Dunkles or a Bock. Great. I had a pork loin steak with onions, gravy and Fried potatoes. Was delicious. The guests at the next table ordered cream puffs with cream. It was so big and I tried to took a picture of it to show You the XL Version. I think the four young ladies were very happy with it. So I had a nice evening sitting outside with one or twoooo Barbarossa beers. Update: If You late and hungry, it's better to call before go! It's not save that they serve food after 9 PM.

Great location on the square with friendly service. Unfortunately the food can only be described as dreadful! I would not be surprised if it all came from a packet and was only heated, not cooked, on site. Avoid unless nothing else is open and you are really hungry!

If you want an authentic German schnitzel, or other German foods, with homemade ingredients, fresh vegetables, and fresh mozzarella cheese in your appetizer, then find another place. Die Butterhanne restaurant can be called a fast food place but not a 'German' -restaurant...

Not good at all. Was seated in an extra room because they were fully booked. This was weird - just say you are booked. They forgot to bring two of the ordered beverages, and when asked if they were coming, we were kinda rudely told that they had a large party downstairs who ordered lots to drink... okay, guess the rest of us don't need anything to drink during a heatwave? Then we waited about 45 mins. for the food to arrive, only to find that one of the children's dishes was left out. The food that did arrive was bland and disappointing, and I honestly wish we had just found another place to eat.

Been coming to this place for years. The food is quite good and comforting. Try their local specialities. The wild boar sausages are tasty. For beer try the local Gosse helles.

This is quite a popular place for both lunch and dinner. I visited the restaurant in an early evening on a weekday and it was already crowded. Luckily I was able to snatch the last free table. I ordered the schnitzel with blueberry sour cream sauce (Harzer Blaubeerschmandschnitzel) which (I thought) was the restaurant's signature dish. I was not disappointed.

One of the best places to get food in Goslar. Dogs are allowed to come inside the restaurant. Prices are affordable too, compared to other. And service is excellent

Food was good. Just a shame that the service was bad. Waitress looked like she didn’t care, like she preferred we did not enter the restaurant at all. She stood with her back turned towards us, and told us loudly, to sit anywhere. When finished eating, asking for the bill, they just rolled the eyes at us, and sighed that a colleague would return with the bill.

My pork branmeistersteak sauce is tooooo salty 2/10. Too much salt. . The fish is fine, however if you eat the skin. I think it's too much salt as well. Place is nice and warm. Service at s good. Applestrudel is good. Not so sweet. The ice cream still have room to improve.

Very "german" feeling restaurant. Loved the atmosphere and the food was very good. Nice and wide assortment of beer and beverages, with good descriptions of taste and etc. Will definitely visit again.
