Eines der zwei ältesten Cafés von Wiesbaden mit dem wundervollen Ambiente Wiener Kaffeehauskultur und einer riesigen Kuchentheke voller kalorienträchtiger 😉 Köstlichkeiten. Tischgruppen für 2 bis 6 Personen sind in zwei räumen im Erdgeschoss des Hauses in der Marktstraße angeordnet. Besonders beliebt die gemütlichen "Sofaecken", bei denen es sich empfiehlt vorher zu reservieren. Aber auch ohne Reservierung bekommt man einen Platz, mitunter mit etwas Geduld. Einfach zum Tisch marschieren ist nicht, man muss etwas warten und wird dann zu einem freien oder vorher reservierten Tisch begleitet. Es gibt noch einen großen Saal, der Vermieter werfen kann, der befindet sich in der 1. Etage. Dort befinden sich auch die Toiletten. Vor dem Café ist noch ein Außenbereich, so dass man in der wärmeren Jahreszeit deinen Kaffee auch an der frischen Luft in der Fußgängerzone genießen kann - sehen und gesehen werden 😉 Das Kuchen- und Tortenangebot ist phänomenal. Desweiteren können auch handgefertigte Pralinen und Kleingebäck gekauft werden. Ein Mittagstisch wird ebenso angeboten wie eine reichliche Frühstücksauswahl. Beides ist solide, aber nichts Außergewöhnliches, aber gut gemacht. Schmeckt dennoch sehr gut. Das Ambiente ist der Hammer. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail würde vor einigen Jahren renoviert und das hat sich gelohnt. Die Bedienungen scheinen auf den ersten Blick etwas "wienerisch derb", was mitunter der Hektik geschuldet ist, aber alles in allem sehr freundlich. Mitunter ist das Personal schon sehr lange im Café angestellt - man kennt sich. Auch da habe ich im Laufe der Zeit eine Veränderung zum Positiven festgestellt. Wer in Wiesbaden seine Gäste beeindrucken möchte sollte mit ihnen ins Maldaner gehen. Die Gäste werden beeindruckt sein.

Es gibt tatsächlich noch Orte die so einen Hauch von "gute alte Zeit" haben. Dieses Kaffeehaus gehört definitiv dazu. Preise und Service sind absolut ok. Die Auswahl an Kuchen, Torten und sonstigen süßen Stückchen ist sehr groß. Auch das Frühstück ist sehr gut.

Awesome atmosphere, as well as customer service. I really enjoyed the coffee. The food was okay, however the other guest who were with me enjoyed their breakfast. I had the sausage plate, my croissant was cold, and my eggs were over cooked. Again the other guess with me enjoyed their meal. We returned and had Apple Strudle for lunch. It was awesome.

Really fancy Austrian cafe. The schnitzel nach Wiener art was very delicious, as well as the fries and side salad. The interior design is amazing. I feel like I'm in an old European film. The upstairs dining area is so fancy and bourgeois. Would be great to host a dinner party here! They have a variety of delicious Austrian cakes with beautiful design. Almost too beautiful to eat. The breakfast combo comes with champagne and a three tiered tray of cheese, meat cuts, smoked salmon and bread. Very nice experience!

Imposant, zeitlos und stilecht empfängt das Maldaner seine Gäste. Der herausragende, aufmerksame Service gibt dem ganzen noch das Gefühl und von Stil und Klasse was viele Gastgeber heutzutage leider vermissen lassen. Die Sachertorte war erwartungsgemäß lecker, Café ebenfalls, Preis akzeptabel da es auch eine kleine Zeitreise ist. Ich komme gerne wieder und wünsche mir sehr dass das Maldaner noch lange bestehen kann/wird

This café has the best chai latte in Wiesbaden. It is always busy here, so when you have any opportunity to dine in, you should seize it. The service is impeccable and super efficient. The food is superb!

Sehr schön eingerichtet und das Personal ist auch nett. Eine schöne Auswahl an Kuchen und weiteren Köstlichkeiten. Allerdings heben sich die Kuchen nicht von anderen ab, so wie’s immer gesagt wird. Latte Macchiato ist nicht zu empfehlen, aber der Kuchen schon. Kleine Portionen teilweise, aber sie machen satt.

The restaurant is really good and the food always tasty. I come often to have a breakfast or some sweet cake and always welcomed. But today i asked for a table inside for only one person and have been told that all tables are booked and I need to call few days before to reserve one table inside. I was really surprises but did trust the guy. I had a table outside which was okay but not so comfortable because of Bees 🐝 that disturb and get in everything in the table. I really couldn’t enjoy my breakfast. And suddenly too many people came, couples, group of persons and even one person and asked the same guy if there is a place inside, he was sure from himself and said to them that of course there is place and they can check it theirselves. Oh my God, I was really shocked because i didn’t expect it. And even, a couple came after asking for a place inside getting the answer ‘ I don’t really know but u can check for sure and have a place if any table is free’ Everything happened while i was sitting two tables to the entry. I find it unfair and even not equal considered even the guy was really nice to me and respectful in his saying but in his way of treating people. It is not taken personal but this kind of people classifying disturb everyone especially living in Germany here that all people are equal. I hope the manager or the person managing the place to see my review and react for it, at least this kind of behaviour won’t be done with any other person anymore.

This restaurant/cafe/bakery is one of my favorite places to eat. All of their food and beverages are delicious and made with care. The staff is friendly and attentive, always leaving me satisfied when I visit.

Nice place with wide choice of delicious cakes! Everything was soo tasty! Service was good yet slow. I waited to pay longer than I ate there.

If I could give 10/10, I would give it. It's a 5/5 no doubts. Atmosphere... Is amazing. We needed to wait about 10 minutes before we were seated, but it was all worth it. We were so excited. All the surrounding it's something special, I felt like I was in some kind of movie. It just some special and magical place. I don't drink coffee usually. But here coffee was so good. And the cute little pies, omg.... It's very high quality. I'm pastry chef myself. I know what I'm talking about. Nothing to much, the balance between sweet, bitter, sour it's just perfect. I red some comment, it's to sweet. I totally disagree. It's perfect. It's not to sweet. Every detail is amazing. If you are visiting Wiesbaden. It's a MUST to visit this magical place. Music is amazing. Staff is very professional and friendly. Prices are also very very good. So good luck. And I will definitely come back to have my special time with my loved ones. Like I had today, thank you.

Leckerer Kaffee und Birne Feige Kuchen war einfach zum Genießen. Wir haben an einem Samstag Nachmittag ca. 15 min gewartet bis wir platziert werden konnten. Das Cafe ist sehr beliebt. Die Preise sind etwas gehoben. Ein Stück Kuchen liegt ca. bei 5,90€.

What a fantastic café in an old traditional coffee house style. You can sit in or take away. The freshly ground coffee is to die for and I always take a few packs back as they make a fabulous present for friends. They come in different strengths and tastes and all have individual names. They can also grind the beans in different ways depending on your preference and your coffee maker at home. The cakes are incredible. Beautiful to look at and absolutely delicious with a natural, homemade taste. It's one of my favourite places when visiting. Highly recommend.

Klassisches Kaffeehaus, wie in Prag oder Wien. Toll. Ambiente und Service waren absolut Klasse und der Apfelstrudel ein Traum. Der Kaffee ist typisch für die Wiener Kultur etwas säuerlich aber mit einem leckeren Aroma und eignet sich sehr gut zum Trinken mit Milch oder Sahne!

Beautiful old school place, the apfelstrudel was delicious and presentation was on point. We also ordered cappuccino coffee and a very particular beverage of maracuja and orange, This beverage is refreshing for warmer days. Staff was in a hurry, service could be definitely improved

This is Wiesbadens oldest Cafe'. Very busy . You can sit outside and inside. Amust see inside old architecture and in the window coffee mules from Boston USA 1800's . You can enjoy any cake , petits, breakfast,lunch and dinner. I advise to make reservations . They have their own coffee brand . A room for celebrating birthdays anniversary, or just a big get-together in the back. You will be stunned and always want to come for more.

Beautiful café in the heart of Wiesbaden. Old Viennese style decor so you feel like you’ve gone back in time. The cakes are delicious and there is a lot of variety for chocoholics as well as Apple Strudel, Black Forest Gateau, Sacher Torte, Petit Fours, Fruit Cream cakes plus many more! Good selection of coffees, teas, other hot drinks as well as alcoholic beverages. The service is friendly and efficient. Be warned, at weekends and peak times, it is normal to need to stand in the queue to be seated. All cakes are also available to take away but I do really recommend visiting and enjoying the surroundings of the cafe.
