Bad coffee with snobby “hipster vibes”. I ordered a V60 Pourover and wanted to know which coffee beans were available. A long face appeared as if it was an imposition to ask for a recommendation. The woman at the checkout only spoke English. Now the coffee was prepared: extensive rinsing of the filter paper, very short blooming, but very long breaks between the different pours. Result: A woody, sour and rusty taste. I drank better coffee at the gas station, which honestly surprised me given The Barn's reputation. Shop is beautifully decorated, there are no toilets. The staff gives you the feeling that they don't feel like being there/working. This attitude might get you into Berghain, but it's not ideal for running a café. Conclusion: Not recommended. Maybe the coffee at The Barn's other stores is better(?)

As always Barn doesn't disappoint. Top notch coffee. It's always very good. Perfect iced lattes. The decor is always on point. And they are probably the only establishment in Germany that believes in providing drinking water for free. This really is quite a revolution in Germany. The fresh pastries and cakes are always very nice too. This location at Potsdamer Place is so central yet a respite from the crowds. Great stop for all visitors in this part of Berlin.

Enjoyed my Kenyan Expresso here and purchased a few bags of beans. They only had one of the Geisha! Lucky! Their German Chocolate cake is outstanding. This is a nice coffee shop just kitty-corner from the CinemaxX. The baristas are friendly and the young man with glasses, especially, is very knowledgable. .

Perhaps the best coffee chain in Berlin. Although, looks expensive when compared to other coffee chains and outlet but, the coffee are definitely worth the value they cost. They have small selection of eatable along side coffee. The service is excellent and staff very helpful. May have to wait for coffee as they brew it fresh for you. Their reward program is good too.

Lovely coffee place! Really good baristas and the typical Scandinavian, cozy design of The Barn. I was served by Mateo - a very attentive, customer-oriented and open person who creates a good atmosphere. I ordered the handbrew from Costa Rica. Best!!

Coffee was good, but not great. The barista serving us was completely puzzled when I asked for a glass of water, and ended up giving me a pitcher of hot water. Espresso cups are a luxury in here , as well as a teaspoon and a glass of water.

It’s a tiny Café in Alter Potsdamer Platz. The outdoors seating is really fascinating with the autumn leaves and the cold breeze. The coffee was so good, superb to say the least. I had the Almond chocolate cake, which was dense and a bit dry. The chocolate nibs set at the bottom of the cake and was so hard to cut into. Overall, it was okay. I would defintely have the coffee here again.

Good but very tiny coffee shop at Potsdamer Platz. They serve good quality, but pricey coffee and pastries. The service was okay and they don’t have a restroom, they’ll tell you to go to the mall next door where you have to pay. Like mentioned very small, with outdoor seating. There are definitely better coffee shops in Berlin.

I had this V60 coffee, and the presentation of it was really interesting and beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful, and there was ample seating. Outside might not be instagrammable right now due to construction, but I had a nice experience there overall. Of course the coffee itself is top notch, I had a selection of three types of beans that I could choose from for my coffee, and the host helped me decide which one, and it was delicious and well made.

I visited this coffee shop during my last visit to Berlin. I was looking for a great alternative cafe in Berlin to have a drink. And found this coffee shop in the very center of Berlin through recommendations from other excellent coffee shops, which is remarkable. The overall impression is very good. Interior: I can’t point out anything outstanding here; Quite standard industrial style for new era coffee shops. Wood and concrete. However, I can say that the terrace, trees, fresh air and relative silence seemed especially cozy to me. Service: very friendly staff, ready to help with choosing not only a drink, but also grain. They answered questions very competently and were ready to advise what was best to choose based on my request. It might be worth wiping the tables a little more often, but in general this is a common problem in Germany. Coffee: I don't know how things are in Berlin, but in my area it is very difficult to find really good coffee, and there are no alternatives to speak of. The coffee was excellent, prepared using all necessary technologies. Excellent taste of Mohamed Ali Natural grains, bright taste of chocolate, and in the aftertaste I saw notes of caramel and cane sugar. I really enjoyed my visit. Something that could be improved a little: Add a glass of water to the alternative as it really improves the flavor of the beans. It would also be great to have a toilet. and maybe you should reconsider the prices a little, since 7 euros for a glass of coffee is really expensive

Good coffee, very busy depending on the time of day if you want a seat. If you prefer coffee with more complex flavors, you should try the two hand-brewed varieties. However, it's not for those on a budget (€7/8), but it's definitely something different than normal black coffee.

Serious bean selection, including geisha, at this coffee roaster. The coffee is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm with a simple yet thoughtful store design. The prices are on the higher side but are justified by the quality and experience.

Good service, cozy atmosphere in the city centre, but sometimes gets crowdy. Coffee is fine, "tea like" roast type for v60. For me personally, would be better to do also batch brew filter coffee, for people who are in rush.

A very atmospheric place with excellent coffee and wonderful service! I was delighted to have breakfast there with the freshest croissants and enjoy a truly aromatic coffee. I'm adding it to my list of favorite places. Highly recommended!

Cafe with their roastery. U can feel the culture of making coffee there and taste its quality. The nice small space and summer terrace make u able to stay there for some time. The friendly staff will provide a good and quick service. U can find some pastry and dessert to make a good team with ur coffee.

Had two super well made hot chocolates, very on point the barista‘s craft. Yesterday we tried a low caffeine flat white and tea, both among the best in town, served in excellent condition. Crowd was chill, service very good (authentic and nice, no fake smiles just very pleasant to be around with. They were three people in service and seemed to function together very smoothly and aware). We were a bit unhappy as of 2024 there should be more vegan food options (salty). Oat milk costs extra, wonder if this is exclusiveness is based on some old school business strategy. Generally expensive but still ok for the quality.

This coffeehouse changed my perception of coffee. Before here I've had had coffees from different places, but they would all mostly taste the same save some tones in the taste. Here however, I found a coffee that tasted completely different from the others I had already tasted. Make sure to try one of their daily picks of coffee, not all of them might be for you, but surely you will find something different from the usual.

Great customer service from Vojta! This guy is amazing! He explained all types of roasted beans for me and I ended up buying 3 types of them! I also tried a cup of coffee and a carrot cake in house. The cake is very delicious and the coffee has a unique taste! This place is highly recommended!

The barn is one of my favorite specialty roasters. They didn’t disappoint. The latte is great as are the V60’s. The bean selection is great. Always need a few bags.

I did very much enjoy the filter coffee here, which was a very aromatic cm Colombian. But 7€ for a single cup is borderline fraudulent -- it's more than I pay in Zurich, one of the most expensive cities in the world... (For a very good cup, where the beans cost as much as the ones I had at the barn )

The worst experience i had at a coffeeshop. The guy working there straight up tells me to say please after i havent even finished ordering. I mean the service is so bad i even thought that he might be racist. But then when i get my latte i can taste the burnt milk smell so bad and the cup had blood or something red on it. i asked to change it and after changing the taste was still the same. Never go to this cafe. Its even worse than some private owned cafes.

It’s a cute little coffee place that serves a limited selection of coffees, quite “hipster” 😅

I like The Barn but only 4 stars for this location. Coffee temperature was too high and it affects the taste.

Pricey, but worth it, The Barn is the most famous for a reason. The espresso and cortado were delicious, but the stand out was the hot chocolate 😍
