An exceptionally historic (and important) monastic site, but now with not much to see - there is the topped round tower stump and the remains of a small church.

A super historical site, a wonderful round tower, old church ruin and a dilapidated church are all on the same grounds. Some very interesting graves, crosses and tombs, a nice place to enjoy a ramble and take in the peace and quite, just outside the entrance is a viking boat and they go so well together, I loved it you will too, enjoy

Two interesting features at this site; There is a small but intact round tower There is a ruined 17th century Anglican Church (Board of First Fruits) Easily found off the M1

Beautiful site with the oldest cross in Ireland. Unfortunately is not properly advertised. Sometimes I feel that these places/towns don't want tourists as the attractions are hidden...

Really, really lovely place to visit. Great parking, you have the church, the tower and the old abbey, what a great collection under one roof. Outside you have a viking stone ship and it only adds to the attraction. Its well worth a visit and if you keep to the paths its suitable for the elderly and the disabled. Lovely bit of time travel yet you never even move, congratulation to all who maintain the grounds, great work.

Beautiful setting. Work required on the church in this graveyard before it is too late. Burial ground of my parents, grandparents and great grandparents and other family members. Graveyard looked fantastic for the annual patron. Well done all involved in the maintenance of the ground.

Not for me. Visited here, but not a great deal to see. A couple of old walls in a more modern (yet still old) traditional church/graveyard. On the plus side, there's a very interesting "bug hotel," outside the graveyard in a seating area.

Very good external signage located outside the site. But missing a basic requirement!! An index / names of historic/old burials. It's a pity. Indeed no directional signposts to the site. Is it therefore of any importance??

Even though it is a graveyard, it is still so peaceful. And the history of the monastic is interesting
