Went with my kid on a Saturday and it was really very crowded. I was not that much comfortable. My kid really loved it though. She enjoyed that very much. Most amazing this is the rock from Moon and how they demonstrated different ways to apply science in our daily life. Very kid friendly. Lots of washrooms. There is a theatre which we did not visited. You can use the ticketing queue to book a ticket for either exhibition or the theatre, does not take that much of time. Or else you can buy online.

Visited Spring Break 2022 As a new norm, book your ticket online. I have 2 kids aged 5 and 7. Booked for 1 IMAX movie and 4 exhibition. We arrived at 9:30AM, everything runs smoothly. You can check in your coats (&boots) at 2$, we waited for 20 minutes. My kids don't mind the waiting time as they were excited. The exhibition is in 2 floors: 1st floor is the Mini Mondo and the rest is in 2nd floor. Everything is clean, even the bathrooms. You can bring your own snacks/lunch and there are tables and chairs designated for eating. There's only have 1 cafe inside, a bit expensive. So bring your own food. We watched the IMAX (Bear, English version) my kids enjoyed it very much. This was their first time in movie theater and I'm happy that they enjoyed it. A very nice lady in the entrance inform me when we arrived that I can ask for "helmet" (sound concelling) if my kids is sensitive to loud sound during the movies. After the movie finished, my daughter was scared when she saw the group of people going towards the exit. I approached one of the staff and explained that she's on the spectrum, he escorted us to different exit. I was very thankful to the staff who do extra mile for the kids with disabilities. Very seldom that we encountered an accommodating, welcoming and no judging people. Thank you for the wonderful experience! PS. Montreal Science Center offers a quiet morning (Sunday, I think) for kids with special needs. We went on the weekday because it's spring break.

The Montreal Science Centre offers different options to stimulate scientific thinking and would appeal to kids less than 10 years old and some older age kids. From the dinosaur area to the bubble film section upstairs, there are a lot of items your kids may like. My 12 year old loved the pulley system, he tried to link them all so one wheel gets all the others rolling, and succeeded. Also, the workshops are also great if you can get in early or get a reservation. There are a lot of visitors on the weekend, if you can, I’d suggest visiting on a weekday, less crowds. (I got in free, thanks to the Canoo app. You should download it and register to gain access to this and other attractions across Canada).

Go on a weekday. There will be school groups, but generally it is a quiet and peaceful area to visit by the waterfront. Cool exhibits. Washrooms are all gendered with stalls from floor to ceiling. Nice murals for children introducing them to the concept of shared space, washrooms, etc. IMAX is also here to take in a show.

really fun and neat science things to do. 4 to 5 hr limit and you pretty much do everything. it needs more stalls for washrooms. but over all good fun

Has something for all ages! The Mini Mondo was incredible! My 2 and 3 year old were in heaven! I thought it was going to only be for older kids and it really wasn’t. Very clean, well maintained space. It’s a must if you’re in Montreal with little kids. We spent 4 hours there and had to drag the kids out.

A very good science center. I really liked the Star Wars Identities: The Exhibit. You can really feel you are in the Star Wars atmosphere. Great photo and video possibilities.

We have a membership at the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto. However, to enter, you need to line up at the ticket counter. Nothing we could do. However, I would recommend purchasing tickets online ahead of time to skip the line. Maybe it was especially busy because school is still out. That's the reason we're in Montreal. I'm guessing it's the same for other families. There are many things to do and see here. My 6 year old daughter spent a good 2+ hours exploring and didn't complain once that she was tired. I don't think we saw everything as we were hungry and didn't want to eat fast food at the restaurant here.

Very nice place to take the kids to!! I don’t it’s really for adults!! The Toronto One has more entertaining stuff for adults. The fee is 22 dollars per person It’s cheaper than Toronto’s Parking I recommend you park outside because the parking you might pay around &10-15

My daughter loved every minute. Parking across the way is $25. It has a fair amount to do but only the staff in the "Fabrik" section was friendly so good luck if you have any questions. I get it, it's a museum and most of it is self-explained, but it's always nice to have someone come by when there's few people in the museum.

A nice science center with a good space for special exhibitions and an imax. The permanent exhibition space is a little small, but super interactive. Really great for kids. Seems more like a field trip destination than a tourist attraction. There is a small cafe by the entrance. Super disappointed there was no gift shop.

Super nice place! The parking is expensive though, 25$ to 35$ for the day, depending how much time you pass there. But the expositions are really family friendly, I went with kids from 7, 8 and 10 and they really liked it ! The movie on dinosaures is not really interesting for kids though as it have lots of explanation on how and when they discovered some rocks and plants. Would definitely go back!

We have come once or twice per year. I love that the change the main exposition. This time, it was on hockey. There were lots of interactive games. We had fun! The other expositions are always interesting, too. My kids always have a good time. One little downside is, of course, all the day camps, but it's understandable since it's summer.

We’ve been at Montreal Science Centre many times and my kids never get bored. The centre has different special exhibitions a year long. Plus, we have a great views of the old port from the windows. The tickets are high though.

Cute little science museum with great interactive exhibits for the kids in both French and English. Cafe also had a reasonably affordable breakfast with sandwiches, pastries, coffee, and tea. If you’re near Old Port and looking to kill a few hours, this museum is a must see.

Such a fun place for kids and adults.... Great place for dating ! It made us feel like kids again. It is a well made place with many sections for different ages. The mini mondo section on the ground floor is amazing for kids below 1 year old and up that could move by him or herself too. The toilet inside this section is very clean. Easy for strollers. Picnic tables outside. Making it easy for family with young children. There are many experiments. There is also another picnic areas on the ground floor. We bought the membership for 5 years in the role. We never get bored of it. The package is very valuable... also works with another science museums in New York and a few places in USA. Check out the details on the website. It's a good space in the winter for kids to go and run around ! Parking is expensive from 25-35$ but it's old port. What to do!!! ???

$50 for the ticket + $25 for parking and worth every cent! I highly recommend it if you are interested in that sort of thing... Amazing! It's as if you are truly in space with a 360° view! It's hard to walk even because there's no floor just stars... Crazy! The person you are with is a computer generated yellow human form while the other people are the same but blue... Really, really cool... No pictures though!

Great place to bring kids to have fun while learning sciences. Even though there is expositions for smaller kids, most expositions target kids 7 yr old and up. We had a lot of fun with our 3 & 5 yr old kids and they really wanted to participate in most of the activities. Science 26 is really entertaining. Kids loved to play with the bubble that wrap around them and were mystified by the magic dish that transmit sound through the room.

(Translated by Google) today 09/06/2020 around 6.30pm I had the worst experience of my life in your science center. after a very nice day out for a walk in Montreal, I went to your science center to see the packages at the telus store in your science center and before I even went to the store, my wife had an upset stomach because she is diabetic and she needed to go to the bathroom, the girl who was in the post of reception agent who is called Stacy or Strecy d after I remember she asked my wife where you go she asked her said that I have a great emergency and I want to go to the toilet so the reception agent replied that the toilets are only allowed for members of the center, she told us that you can go out and go 2 minutes from here to go to join the toilets the other side despite when he explained the situation with kindness and respect. then we went out to get the toilet until my wife had great discomfort in her stomach. Me personally it is my last day that I am going to see your science center because security has no mercy and there is no human feeling unfortunately. the only thing that the receptionist told me afterwards when she walked to the exit door if your wife is pregnant is the one who can get in. I have always had a very beautiful image on your center but according to what happened to me I would unfortunately not set foot in you anymore.

Went to the 12:05 IMAX presentation which was kind of nice except the one kid that started screaming in the last 20 minutes and his grandparents couldn’t make him to shut up . Science center has nice expositions too . It’s a bit expensive in my opinion but we spent a couple of hours there so in the end we’re even .

This was a fantastic stop for our long weekend here in Montreal. We went yesterday and my son is already asking to go again! The hands on activities are really a game changer. The boys had so much fun and now my older son wants to know everything about electricity. This , in my opinion is the best way to learn and is an absolute must for homeschoolers / world schoolers in Montreal. We explored the exhibitions for about three hours then saw a fantastic IMAX movie . Everything was clean and there were hand sanitizer stations around as well. Highly recommend.

Kids LOVED the hands on experience. We only spent 2 hours there but wished we could have been there for 2 days. Highly recommend for tourist with kids. Children got to decompress and play with new science toys without even protesting. Don’t forget to visit upstairs and not just the World Guinness experience.

The new Guinness exhibition is great! You have a chance to earn points by scanning your fingerprint and participating in each activities.. The best permanent exhibition in my opinion is the one on the second floor, with all the science ‘experiments’. Had a great time overall.

Great place, fun for kids. If your kids are 8 years old and up, they'll have a blast as there is a whole section for that age group. Our kids had a blast (3 and 5 yrs old). Make sure you plan at least 2h to make it worth the $$.

The science center is a classic from high school. Having gone back with my kid, it's just as great as I remember. The roaming exhibition (dinosaurs) was visually stimulating and quite informative. The permanent science exhibition on the second floor is great fun for all ages, it was great fun to revisit it as an adult. A tad expensive, but it's overall the experience was great. There are installations on site to eat, you can bring your lunch or each on site. Do buy your tickets online, you'll avoid the pre-waiting line.

Really great experience for kids. A little expensive ($50 for 1 child under three and 1 adult + $25 for parking). If it was cheaper we would have returned, son really enjoyed the kids area. Went in the morning (10am) no crowd which allowed us to explore all the exhibits thoroughly. Very clean and organized.

We visited the Centre in January 2023, we enjoyed it! It had lots of things for all age groups, we enjoyed taking part in some of the fun items!! It was clean, not crowded but steady flow of people. It was a nice walk from our hotel to the water where this is located. We recommend to all to take a stop and bring the whole family to enjoy this fantastic Centre!

Awesome place to take children of all ages. Easily able to spend at least a half day - all day exploring the exhibits. The Fabriks section is a fun and exciting way to get the kids into experimenting to accomplish a goal. The guides do a great job of trying to frame celebrating the process, not necessarily the result. They recommend 8+ years old but we still had lots of fun with our 5 year old.

We spent 3.5 hours at the museum with three kids, all of whom had a great time exploring the exhibitions, interactive areas, and IMAX. Very nice staff. I'd rate it 4 stars, since it lacks a bistro; only snacks and popcorn are available. We had to leave to find a meal, which cut our exploration time short. If there were meals available on site, we would have stayed longer to explore further.

My daughter is under 2 yo so she was admitted for free. The space is very interesting for curious minds, though a bit advanced for a 2yo. The Clic! space is for 4 to 7 yos, which is not clearly stated on the website. Still, she did have lots of fun running around and looking at everything. Worth a trip, especially for older kids. Ticket comprises 4 expos (I think) and the Click room.

Didn’t see any exhibits, but I did attend an event that was located in a large, spaced area. It was easy to move around and maintain physical distancing if required. I also liked seeing natural light that came from the sunrays. The electric vehicle presentations were a highlight of the Wednesday event.

It's a fantastic place to visit as you can experience a lot of scientific principles in a very immersive and educational way. Lots of hands-on experiments. The IMAX is great although a bit too documentary for younger kids. For some of the experiments it was a little hard to know exactly what to do or how to make them work properly as there was not a lot of stuff around to assist or explain the principles behind them.

Great place to bring your kids. There's so much that they can learn about over there. Most interesting scientific principles are explored in easy to learn hands on exhibits from space to electricity, magnetism to tornado's. Your kids will definitely enjoy themselves. Complete emersive experience for their curious minds. They have family combo experiences that won't break the bank including a viewing of some of your favorite IMAX 3D movies. I will definitely be taking my daughter back over here in the near future.

Very nice museum ! We were able to get inside thru the reciprocal membership program with Boston museum of science where we are members, and it was a wonderful 4 hours. I’d love to come back if I can. We only got to finish the top floor and there was so much to see and do and learn. My daughter and the two of us enjoyed it and felt multiple times how it was better than our museum! 😄 Great exhibits, great employees, Kevin and there was another patient woman that showed amazing animal specimens and played a spider trivia game with us.. And the workshops area was fun, had different stations and lots of supplies to work on different type of projects. And the hands on science was fun, bubbles, wind, ferro fluid, air, auto pilot for cars, air pressure, and more… It was very nice use of an afternoon in -6 degree weather! We found parking on the street but it looked like they had parking not sure how much. We even came back the following day to see and do more! Hopefully next time we can see some imax movies. Only French ones were playing when we were there.

Enjoyed this science Center with two young kids under 5. So many things to touch and turn and pull. Absolutely a great time with the kids figuring out how all things work. The spider exhibit was presented with a lot information and live spiders. There was a workshop where kids can build things but was full at the time we went through. To get the full experience take 3-4hrs of your day to explore this center.

We went to all the exhibits during spring break. The indigenous science exhibit was fantastic. My 10 year old loved it. It looks a bit boring at the entry but they had bow and arrow practice, spearfishing practice, build an igloo, and lots of other things. I think I could have spent 4 hours just in that exhibit with my 10 year old. We also hadn't seen humans and my daughter liked it. It's a great place to spend a day for children 5+

Excellent museum — even for a toddler! The Mini Mondo area for younger kids is well-done, featuring lots of elements for imaginative play such as a bulk food market, a house, cars and a bridge over a river. There’s also a ball-run building corner that’s seriously fun for kids and parents too. One section of the room is thoughtfully reserved for babies. Also of note: the Mini Mondo nursing/pumping room is NICE (see photo) and the family restroom has a kid-sized toilet and sink and is decorated with fun facts about animal poop. My toddler also found a lot to enjoy in the other exhibits. It helped that we were there on a winter weekday so that it was quiet and less overwhelming.

Love this place since I was a kid. The IMAX experience is awesome and they always show high quality documentaries. The 3D movies are super immersive, it’s a place that you will enjoy no matter your age.

Exhibits were great for all ages. We took a 2 year old and there was plenty for him to do throughout the museum.

Great for a kids day out in the winter as it’s all indoors. Plan to go for around 3 hours to have enough time for the whole exhibition. There is a cafe for coffee/snacks. Lot’s of sanitization and hand wash stations 👏🏻

Bill Nye the science guy said it best,”Science Rules”! Lol What an amazing place and fun time. We took our 2.5 year old and 9 month old. We couldn’t keep up to our little guy. This is one of those outings where you can come in the am and leave when it closes. Hours on hours of absolute fun. Highly recommend bringing your children if you are looking for a fun full day activity.

We only had a couple hours to spend here, so I know that there is much more we could have done, but we really enjoyed it! There were a lot of interactive elements and hands on things for the kids which is fantastic. As others have mentioned it was packed (weekend in the summer) and many of the hand wash stations were either out of soap, sanitizer or papertowel, so I would bring your own sanitizer.
