I always feel that I am ripping these guys off when I eat there. The portion size and quality of the food is ridonculous for the price that you pay and it is a BYOB on top of that?! It is a small, cozy space perfect for a romantic night out or intimate dinner among friends. Friendly and accommodating staff that know their menu well! Let's get down to business though and discuss sauce..whatever you order you bet you're going to be getting some damn good sauce along with it (I am a girl who likes my sauces, deal with it). Food is always fresh with interesting flavour combinations (escargot and apple..who knew?!) All this to say go there now and thank me later! Sauce guys...sauce.

I came all the way from Toronto and this restaurant did not disappoint! My boyfriend had the foie gras as appetizer and it tastes wonderful, my escargot was delicious as well. For the main dish, my lamb rack is slightly more fantastic than my boyfriend's bison. The dessert was a delight as well😍

My boyfriend and I celebrated our 5th year anniversary here last night and could not be more impressed. Every dish was absolutely exquisite. We hadn't expected to get this much food (especially at such a affordable price) so needless to say we were STUFFED. One of the best meals we've ever had. All of the flavors come together so nicely and it's BYOW!! We're already making plans to bring family over. Thank you Le Pégase for such a memorable experience and thank you to the staff for being so wonderful.

Great BYOW restaurant in the plateau area. Price very reasonable and the food is decent. The places are limited, make reservation before coming. The menu is simple, but also have enough choices for different taste.

Nice tiny restaurant with great food and wonderful service. The portion of the food is great and flavor was amazing. It also helps that it’s Boyb so we could pair a wine of our liking 😊 the waiter was very nice and patient explaining the French menu so we could figure out what we want. We had a good time here

Very cute little BYOB spot nestled in this residential neighborhood is a high quality french restaurant. Bring a nice bottle of wine because the quality of the ingredients were the bomb. It starts off with a soup or salad Followed by an entrée You can opt for a palette cleanser where they made this apple/pear puré with a local brandy Then we had an amazing boeuf bavette and short rib - the portion was huge The sides on the dish were delicious The desert was amazing and super clever as well .... All this for like.... $50-60/pp! Like wow.

For the appetizer, the creaminess and sweetness of the sauce pairs extremely well with the freshness of the scallop. The temperature of the steak is cooked spot on and it is very delightful to see a variety of vegetables being presented as the garnish. I am amazed by the cholate dessert where I can clearly taste the richness of the chocolate. They perfectly balanced the sweetness and chocolate flavor in that dessert. The staff is friendly and they provide quality services. The BYOB is always a big plus. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the quality for the price you pay.

Generous portions of foie gras is a winner 🌟@restaurantlepegase A little french restaurant located in the residential area of De Lorimier, what looked like an apartment transformed into a lively restaurant, serving food even in the backyard on a heated patio. 🐎 Foie gras torchon 🐎 Octopus & calamari in romesco sauce 🐎 Frayed rabbit with fresh pasta and mozzarella 🐎Death by chocolate 🐎Crème Brulée Pssst…another BYOW destination !

Don't miss this little gem! Don't forget to BYOW. We are loving it and look forward to our next visit. Note: parking may be a bit challenging. Just spare time for it.

I enjoyed the bread with the liver pate, the soup, and the main. Lamp chops were delicious. I wished for more complexity in the flavours of the entrée and dessert. I would say overall they lack sophistication, but they make up for it with simple rustic cooking, an intimate and inviting atmosphere, and generous portions. It was a lovely dining experience and I would definitely be coming back.

It was our first time here, and we were impressed. First of all, I'll start with the downside. Because the venue is small, sounds travels really well, so it was very, very loud at times. This was the only downside. The food was fantastic, we started with the beat soup. For appetizers, we had the foie gras, which surprised us by the big portion, and the beef profiteroles were super supple and decadent. For mains, we had the bison bavet, which was cooked to a nice medium rare, and the fall off the bone beef short rib. Desert was the tarte tatin, and creme brulé. Overall, everything was great, amazing food, good service, and the price surprised us most of all, they charge pre-covid prices. We will for sure be back.

Great experience. All the food was delicious and the service was great. The employees accommodated changes for my son as well. Only flaw is the place could get a little noisy. But overall AWESOME experience.

The food was phenomenal! We had the duck, deer and flank steak. We had the electricity cut out on us during the meal and yet everything was amazing. Meals came out in a very timely manner. We especially loved the chicken liver pate with the bread. Highly recommend!

Pretty French restaurant, you can bring your own wine. I’m a bit disappointed about the salad(it’s like just from supermarket) but main duck was great.

Food is ok. Really nothing crazy about it at all. Presentation is gorgeous though. Is a BYOB/BYOW so food might taste a bit better with a good wine. But really , as a French cuisine lover , it is ordinary. Desert was a bit better, although main dishes, never mind the entrées, were average or below. The hostess ( girl at the door with reservations) can smile or stay home if she has a bad day- just a suggestion. Her attitude towards the clients is not professional and I count in here the couple in front of me. Verdict : unless you do not have better options out there ( and there are a few to be honest ) I would not recommend.

Cute little restaurant with good food. The food was tasty and the price for what you get is reasonable. (The menu is only Table d’hôte.The plates are not served alone.) Also, it is a BYOB restaurant. Overall it was a great experience.

I have been ordering take out from this restaurant for many months now. The food is fabulous. I always get the lamb because it SO good. I also always get the death by chocolate because it is one of the best chocolate desserts I have ever had (and I have had a lot). The restaurant is really quite inexpensive for the amount of food you get. With your main course you get excellent pate and crackers, soup, veggies and dessert.

All we googled was "bring your own wine" in Montréal and what a gem we found in La Pégase. No pretention, no classy dress code... Come visit this restaurant (in a Montréal appartement) in your laid back attire and your favorite wine, cuz the magic is all in food. 4 courses of absolute flavor bombs that had our jaws dropped at each service! In the pictures you see cauliflower soup, salmon tataki, braised beef and goat cheese profiteroles, duck confit, medallion of bison, crème brûlée and tarte tatin.... We were rolling out of the restaurant with massive smiles. We'll be back as we heard the menu changes constantly!

Food was fantastic! The only negative thing I can say is that the waitress gave only the women a salad when we asked for soup (some of us can’t eat salad) and the men the soups. After asking why, we were told that the chef told her that women should get salad. The women at the table were visibly upset by this comment, (why should we be the only ones who don’t get what we ordered? And why weren’t we left a choice ?) This started the night off badly. That said, we all hope that this is not something that happens frequently because we did like the restaurant a lot! Other than that the restaurant was great! The food was amazing and great value. BYOB!

Absolutely amazing!!! Everything was spectacular. Tried many items on the menu (went with small group) and my favorites were the beef profiteroles and the foccaccia/fried bocconcini, the duck and bison, and the pear and white chocolate cake. but all so so good

Had a great birthday dinner here! Great price for the food & service! It’s a BYOB so don’t forget the wine! Luckily if you do, there’s a liquor store not even 10-20m away to get a bottle 🥳

We had made a reservation to celebrate our big day, and the restaurant, while not large, exuded a cozy ambiance. The service was incredibly warm and inviting. With a French-only menu, the staff kindly provided English explanations of the seasonal offerings.👍 The pre-dinner bread served with goat liver mousse was an absolute revelation! It was so delicious that we couldn't resist buying some to take home. I highly recommend starting with the foie gras, paired with nutty bread – it was nothing short of perfection! The bison steak was a flawless medium-rare, growing more flavorful with each bite, truly astounding! The short rib slow-cooked to perfection, fell off the bone effortlessly, and it was incredibly flavorful. Each course of the four-course French meal was a delightful surprise. Made our day🥰 It's not only an authentic French dining experience but also offers great value for money. The restaurant is very popular, so be sure to make a reservation well in advance!

I've been here 3x and counting still.... the spread that comes with the bread is to die for (so good that I had to buy some to take home)! Their soup is always so tasty and comforting

Usually at restaurants there’s always a really good dish that kind of compensates for other subpar dishes, but in this restaurant every single dish we’ve had have been an utmost delicacy!! So rich in flavours. Definitely jumps to the top of my restaurant lists in Montreal. Will be going back often! Prices are SUPER reasonable too. Special shout out to the foie gras crème brûlée that is no longer in the menu.

We have been there twice, and both times I have enjoyed it at its maximum. I’ve been with friends and we all ordered different things and I can confirm that everything I’ve tried there is beyond comparison. The portions are perfect, all beautifully presented, well prepared staff, and the flavours are to die for. Also you can bring your own wine, so by the end of the night I was satisfied with amazing food, and elegantly drunk after drinking the whole bottle talking and admiring the dishes and enjoying the company. I loved it. Big shout out to the chefs, cook and the staff in general. You made our life better, for sure. I will come back soon.. with another bottle of course.

“Bring your own wine” is wonderful! Food is great, staff is nice, also with unbelievably reasonable price. Would definitely recommend!

Very good, especially for the price. Slightly more upscale than a quality home cooked meal, but our dishes definitely had homemade vibes (in a good way). The meat portions are extremely generous. Dishes in my photos are the thon and truite appetizers and the bison and arctic char mains.

An intimate yet delicate dining experience. You feel "home" the moment you walk in. It's truly a family affair which we loved. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection and the appetizer was ever so flavorful. We hope to come again during our next visit to Montreal. Thank you for having us!

You should visit here!! The venue was quite busy and small (I am not complaining, those r the only not plus elements). But the food... it was amazing... the whole course was very delicious and well balanced. The staffs were knowledge and nice. I went to many Michelin starred restaurants and I can say this restaurant is even better than some of them. Furthermore, The price was reasonable and the quantity was fairly big. Moreover, as a wine enthusiast, BYOB was a huge bonus❤️

Large portion at a reasonable price! Really recommend the lamb cause it’s so juicy and tender. We are also impressed with the duck breast and it comes with very good cheese. However, the desserts are too sweet for us….my bad

Amazing French restaurant in the heart of Plateau Montreal. BYOW and set menus for a price is what makes Le Pagase unique. Food is delicious and staff are kind to explain what each plates were made of. Tried other plates from my friends and everything as absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

I attended Le Pégase for an event and had an amazing time. It is a very cosy, intimate setting perfect for a romantic dinner. The waitstaff are attentive and knowledgeable, the chefs are fantastic at what they do and every corse was delived fresh, at temperature and with impeccable timing. The scallop ceviche with green apple or braised beef and goat cheese profiteroles with beetroot were the stand outs for the night. I would highly recommend.

The absolute BEST French restaurant in Montreal! One course after the next was better than the last! I will go again and again!

Great place! It is a small place in a dark street but it is worthy it. The price is reasonable and the food is great. Well seasoned, good flavor and quality. It is BYOB and there are no drinks in there (except for water). I would definitely recommend this place and will come back in my next visit to Montreal.

Traditional French cuisine very well executed. Small mom and pop feel establishment but very professional. Accommodates to visitor requests easily and had a fantastic time with friends. Recommend.
