Had a great night here. Fabulous view of the whole coast. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Staff were attentive and well trained. Food was delicious, had a three course dinner and enjoyed everything. Was able to leave our bags in locked office after checkout while we enjoyed a late morning walk on the beach.

Rooms were lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable. That's the positives, now for the negatives- The restaurant was clean and the staff were lovely but the entire place was a soulless corporate nightmare, almost like it was generated by ChatGPT. Should've known that what would be provided in any other hotel in any other city you would have to pay extra for in Dublin i.e. parking at 12 euros. The fact that there was no water in the rooms and the toilet paper, 2 ply, in a 4 star hotel, nearly had to wash my finger! So while the hotel was clean and staff friendly, ultimately it was the little things that let it down.

Me and 2 friends stayed in the Maldron hotel for 3 days in mid-November, and I must say, we were truly impressed. The staff, especially Caroline, were amazingly friendly and accommodating. We were celebrating a birthday, so I asked her whether we could have a room with a view of the ocean, and she was kind enough to upgrade us. She gave us personal advice about restaurants and transport on multiple occasions and on our last day, hauled cabs for us when we were about to miss our flights. Now, for the room itself, it was beautiful. Dublin can be quite gloomy and doomy, but the orange accents in the rooms make it warm and cozy. It was clean, the breakfast was also great, the place itself - quiet and calm. Just a great vacation! 10/10 would recommend 😊

Male receptionist on check in was lovely, had a few drinks in the bar and the male server was very nice and chatty, even though he was working the bar and restaurant alone. Room spotless and very spacious, view of sea. Very close to dart station so can easily pop in and out of Dublin City or down to Bray. Breakfast had an AMAZING selection, catered to all dietary requirements, buffet style with menu option available. Overall amazing stay! Only negative is limited television channels!

Hotel is newly renovated and very clean. Great views and the staff was very kind and helpful. However the price was far too high considering it’s more than 20 minutes from the Dublin City Center and 40 minutes to the Airport. There are also no refrigerators in the room and the towels had a bad odor to them. If the prices remain above $200 for a night you need to provide more than a basic Hotel.

Another lovely stay. Both rooms we had were very comfortable and clean with one having the advantage of a sea view which was great. Used the bar a few times, food and drink great and service exceptional from the lovely man who was working over the weekend - sorry I didn’t get his name but really lovely and friendly. Easy trips to Dublin by bus and to Blackrock as well. Lovely long walk along the seafront to Sandymount and Aviva stadium. Overall a great trip and will stay again

Came on business to visit a client. Food (I ordered the steak medium rare, needed to be more rare for me) was average but on the more expensive side. Was shown to a table and left for 20 mins with no offer of drink even, then decided to get up and ask for it in my room. They don't do room service, I had to come back and collect to take to my room. Good location for BlackRock, just 1 stop on the Dart. On a very busy road which you can hear if like me you are at the front. Busses also go from right outside the hotel. Room was very clean and big. Bed was comfortable and room was changed each day.

My Friend & I really loved Our Stay in your Beautiful Hotel, The Maldron on The Merrion Rd; The Restaurant wasn't as good as it Should have been, Menu Very Poor! Too many Beef Dishes! No CHICKEN Dishes at all on it! Very Expensive for what we got! Side Orders Very little in them, & too expensive for what was in them. Seating Very mixed. Hotel look in the middle of the Restaurant & A McDonald look on the Edges! Staff Very Pleasant, but Not Efficient, forgetting Requests asked for, in between Serving other tables. Not enough Chefs & Table Stuff to be honest. Restaurant Very disappointing, Needs to be improved in A Better Menu & Staffed More. Thank you!

Stayed for business again. After shopping around a few local hotels over the last few months, I've ended up coming back time and time again to the Maldron. Clean, well laid out room, Sea view if it's not dark!!! Friendly staff. On the occasions when I've eaten, no complaints. Plate always goes back empty. PLUS a brilliant shower, never been scolded or frozen. If the only bad thing was the batteries needed changing in the remote then all great.

I stayed here for 4 nights of discomfort and sadness. A broken toilet seat, broken shower head, and having to ask more than a dozen times to have the heat turned on in my room were the biggest problems during my stay. I finally gave up and had a freezing cold room where I could see my breath while fighting off a terrible cold! I had to wear my winter coat in the room despite pleading with the front desk that I had a fever and needed to rest in a warm room. Staff pretended to be helpful by telling me they would turn on the heat, but it generally turned off within an hour as the front desk controls the heat to each room (not the thermostat on the wall-that’s just for decoration!). One manager finally came to my room to check after 5 requests when it was finally turned on for longer than 15 minutes, but the heat was turned off within 8 hours again after that visit. Restaurant and bar crews were not engaging with the guests. They spent most of the time talking to each other. I ordered grocery delivery (medicine and water as there was no complementary water or fridge in the room) from elsewhere as there was not an option for food at the hotel (aside from the overpriced breakfast I ate in the morning) that I could figure out. Rather than receive my delivery after I told the front desk I ordered it and it was paid for and that I was sick and would rather have it brought to my room, they told the delivery person to wait outside in the cold. The delivery person left my stuff next to the building outside where I had to retrieve it. I had to evacuate for a fire alarm right after I returned to my room down several flights of stairs only to be told by the front desk that it was only a drill. Upon returning to my room, the fire doors were still locked, and I couldn’t access my room without going to the front desk to request access. Before the management posts about how they will discuss my pointers with the staff and that they are disappointed that my stay was not satisfactory, please just do that for everyone else who will stay there in the future despite my dire warning. I won’t be coming back, so I will never know if you have made improvements or not, so telling me about it doesn’t do me a bit of good!

There wasn't enough staff available for check in and the self check in wasn't working. Took over an hour to get my room. This was a rugby weekend and the hotel should have been aware of the volume of people checking in. Queued for half an hour to get a drink at the bar. The French barman was useless. The room was really nice. Spotless and functional. Great shower. Breakfast was a disaster. The French barman was on duty. Not enough staff to clear the tables. People waiting for tables to be cleaned. I waited for 15 minutes to get fried eggs and had to ask twice. Had to ask staff for sausages and beans. Other than the room being really nice the rest wasn't good. Expensive for what it was.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Maldron Hotel. The hotel itself was very clean and modern with well appointed rooms and bathrooms. The reception and communal spaces were smart and relaxing. There was a wide selection at the buffet breakfast including a hot buffet. The hot dish on Sunday was very good as it was cooked to order. The staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming. The hotel, while being outside of Dublin city, has good transport links via the DART or bus.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by an arrogant man who was not interested in guests, he was just doing his job. Without first-hand information, we had to ask everything ourselves. There was no information that you need to use a room card in the elevator. The elevator did not leave the car park, the light in the elevator went out. It was uncomfortable. Also, when we arrived, we asked for a taxi to be booked two hours in advance. When we got down to the reception, there was no taxi. When asked, where is the taxi? the answer was that he ordered, but he does not know why the taxi is still not available. After we asked to check again, it was arrogantly answered that if you don't like something, you can order it yourself. In the morning when we went to eat breakfast, the food that was supposed to be hot was cold. The coffee was delicious. A hotel with its own parking lot still charges for it. Very strange. When asked, why do you have to pay for parking? it was answered, welcome to Dublin. That's all.

I have given 10/10 for this hotel. Everything, I found satisfactory. The only minor problems: 1) Although they have many good items in the buffet breakfast (really it was delicious), but it will be good if they can change a few items from one day to another. For 9 days same breakfast, it was a little hard. 2) No Indian restaurant nearby, so I have to travel by bus to take my lunch and dinner. Yes, I ordered food online also. I know this is my personal problem, otherwise, they have good restaurants also with different varieties of Irish food.

New hotel so very clean and tidy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast - I recommend the porridge! Location was excellent for the Dart (9 min walk) so cheap and easy access to Dublin and the coastal towns

Had a wonderful stay, great location, great rooms, comfy beds everywhere spotlessly clean. The best thing about this place is the staff, from welcoming Nicole at Reception to friendly helpful Aprile at the bar and restaurant , they made our stay memorable and we will be back.

A beautiful hotel with friendly polite staff a nice restaurant and great breakfast. Underground parking is available for a reasonable fee. Rooms are very nice with comfortable beds, my wife said the pillows were the best she slept on and we travel alot. I would highly recommend this hotel and when in Dublin I will certainly stay again. Very helpful and friendly staff -Room and beds were perfectly cleaned and equipped. (Iron, kettle, hair dryer, phone etc) -very nice clean excellent -Perfect toilet and wonderful shower -Room service was very quick and smooth -Excellent breakfast You need just one bus 7, or 7A, or 4 for city centre,(15-20 minutes drive to city centre) bus stop is on the left side just less than 100 metres away. -Near by petrol pump and shop. Comparatively very cheap you don't need to book an expensive hotel near to city centre Will recommend it 100%

The rooms are nicely decorated, albeit a bit small and the there’s no refrigerator. It would seem you can order things to your room online only the website says that option is still offline, therefore we asked for a sewing kit and a laundry bag at the reception. The next day it still wasn’t delivered and the waste bin - which was full to the brim - wasn’t emptied either so we reported this, along with the request for a sewing kit and the laundry bag at the reception. Next day still nothing, so I went to the reception., where I was educated in a very offensive manner how it very well should be in the drawer by the bed. Well, I went up, I double checked; it wasn’t. Then they promised to look into it, adding that if it is that urgent, we should go to a Tesco where it can be purchased for €3,50. Well, that sealed it. When I’m staying in a four star hotel where I pay more than €150 a night, I don’t want to be educated on how I should go to a Tesco to buy and fetch a sewing kit myself. Highly unprofessional.

All the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The food was lovely and our room had an amazing view of the sea. The hotel booked us a taxi to the airport and thankfully it wasn’t too far away.

Pros - Nice comfortable stay with sea view room. Hotel and rooms were very clean. Cons - Same breakfast everyday and bad selection for takeaway breakfast. Parking should have been free.

Good clean rooms, location a bit out the way but there is public transport. I’d recommend if higher except for the breakfast: the queue was huge and for 13 euros I think the coffee should be brought to the table and not forced to queue for ages. Once this is improved I would defo give it a 4/5

We took the hotel based on all the positive reviews however, our experience was far from great. Towels in our room were dirty when we requested new ones lady at reception said they will be delivered but took more than 30 mins, after waiting for long I had to call them again before they came through. Room was dusty, and not properly clean the duvet was smelling really bad, I couldn’t sleep, so requested another one but, since there was another issue so the manager was busy, as it was getting late I had to go down to request another one as it was so bad that I couldn’t fall asleep. I went down to get buffet breakfast but, when trying to find out about vegan/ veg options, there weren’t much choice at all. Event through the staff tried, I didn’t find them to be very help. Overall not the best choice of hotel and I wouldn’t recommend it. I didn’t have the best time for the price i paid, our overall experience should have been much better. Some of the staff were excellent. Thank you for letting us check in early, the reviews don’t do justice to our experience at all 😭😭.

The hotel is quite new, well maintained and it provides also a good food selection for lunch and dinner. The breakfast is ok but could have a bit more variations I remove one star because there is no water in the room. No minibar and the only source of drinkable water is the tap water from the bathroom or a vending machine. I wake up in night and I had to go downstairs to fill up my water bottle.

One of the friendliest and most professional staff I’ve ever experienced! The location is awesome! The bus station is right outside the door :) the ride to city is fairly close and there is a bus every 5 mins … highly recommended

Thankfully someone had the sense to knock down the old Tara Towers and build a modern and stylish hotel, managed by the Maldron group. Lunch was delightful, fresh as it gets, quality side salad accompanied by an interesting sandwich combination. Priced fairly. Very good service Spotlessly clean Toilets a joy to freshen up in. Definitely recommend.

Lovely modern hotel. Spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast very good, with plenty of options. Rooms bright and cheerful and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel Room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. The hotel has underground parking but they charge you an extra €13 a night to use it. The breakfast was lovely except the scrambled egg which I believe is made from powdered eggs, it was awful, and for the price of the hotel room I think breakfast should be included.

I thought it was a great experience. Front desk was always helpful and rooms were clean. Kitchen was pretty good, I would have liked some healthier options for breakfast but I just stuck to the porridge so it was ok. It was somewhat further than city center than I anticipated but buses ran all the time so it was fine. Got a pretty good deal on the room so overall very good.

Lovely comfortable hotel but way too expensive including 17 euros I paid for a glass of wine. Very friendly staff. Clean, comfortable and quiet environment. Next time we would stay elsewhere that's not so costly and far out from 03 arena. Thanks for looking after us though Kind Regards Caroline and Rois.

We had a lovely stay! We switched hotels last minute because of a bad experience somewhere else and I'm glad we did. The Maldron was a much better choice. It was a great value, clean, comfortable and the staff was great.

The rooms were great, the food in the restaurant was always fresh and delicious. Staff was very helpful when it came to giving advice on going around the city. The bus stop is right outside of the hotel. Couldn't have asked for a better place for our stay

On the plus side- new hotel, modern, clean and friendly staff that provided a good service. Convenient underground parking. Quiet hotel. On the minus side- very small rooms, paid extra for a sea view which was mostly made of litter and the parking machine didn't print receipts which were needed for expense claims

I appreciated: -the amazing view, excellent location -rooms are very clean, recently renovated, excellent condition furnishes -exquisite food both breakfast and dinner, great prices for the good quality offered -my room was tidied everyday and fresh towels daily -the room had a clothes iron and board - very useful -extremely helpful, friendly and excellent trained staff I did not appreciate: -In a 6 nights stay, my sheets were never changed; usually 4-star hotels change sheets every 3 nights -No vanity kit or body lotion available in the room; only a hair and body 2in1 shampoo (great quality but that was it); usually 4-star hotels offer a wider variety of personal hygiene products which would've been a great relief for someone who's luggage was lost by the airline company. Overall great experience, I would warmly recommend it.

Staying at the Maldron Hotel Merrion Road has been a perfect experience. The rooms are actually really soundproof and very comfortable, the wifi works great and the bus stops right in front of the hotel. You can also choose the train by walking ten minutes tops and enjoy a beautiful view of the Irish coastline. Nevertheless, more than anything, what makes this hotel special is its staff: kind, smiling, competent, attentive to your needs. I arrived for once much earlier than I thought and was granted early check-in, by a very professional lady, whom the hotel can be proud of having among their employees. I highly recommend this hotel!

Very friendly staff, couldn't do enough for you. Room clean and spacious. Bar food and breakfast was delicious. More vegan options would be recommended. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and will be back.
