Very
disappointing
service.
I
had
an
appointment
for
eyelash
extensions
for
which
I
paid
a
60e
deposit
for
in
advance.
On
the
morning
of
the
day
I
was
involved
in
a
minor
crash
in
Athlone
and
was
no
longer
in
a
position
to
make
it
to
Dublin
or
the
appointment.
I
contacted
the
salon
at
lunchtime
(the
appointment
was
at
4:15pm)
to
apologise
and
let
them
know
what
had
happened
and
asked
if
it
was
possible
to
reschedule.
I
was
contacted
at
6:30pm
to
be
told
that
I
could
rebook
another
appointment
but
that
my
deposit
would
be
kept.
I
absolutely
realise
that
it
is
my
fault
that
I
couldn't
make
my
appointment
and
it
is
only
reasonable
to
keep
a
deposit
in
the
case
of
no
shows,
the
salon
has
a
business
to
run.
However
to
keep
60e
(50
percent
of
the
treatment)
when
I
gave
them
a
few
hours
notice
and
it
was
quite
unforeseeable
circumstances
I
think
is
wildy
excessive.
To
be
honest
I
feel
the
retention
of
60e
was
almost
a
bit
hurtful.
When
I
asked
about
the
deposit
being
retained
I
was
given
an
excuse
that
the
deposits
are
managed
by
a
different
system
and
cannot
be
given
back.
I
think
this
was
a
disappointing
excuse,
if
your
policy
is
to
keep
50
percent
regardless
of
circumstances,
then
own
it.
Also,
to
stress,
I
was
not
looking
for
my
deposit
back,
I
was
looking
to
reschedule
my
appointment.
So
the
salon
has
kept
my
60e,
but
as
someone
who
usually
gets
her
lashes
done
every
three
weeks
and
was
looking
for
a
new
salon
closer
to
where
I
work,
it
has
lost
any
future
business.
