We were afforded the opportunity to dine in the small rustic (term does not do justice) barn-style stage coach room with real wood shiplap covering the walls. Just cozy dining for 16 people. There were only 6 on a Sunday afternoon around 1:00pm. Morgan House is billed probably as a woman's tea room. But, there are men enjoying the ambiance. And, did I say novelties everywhere? Good to still catch the many Christmas displays. Gnomes at a discount from $75. Buckeye corner. Everything Bees. Irish venue. Antiques. Goods on consignment, I presume! You might easily find furniture pieces for $1200 and up! 3 floors to explore! Our server was #2. She is a charming lady in her late 60's that knows the menu. My meal was $12. And, Linda's was $13....I ordered the Quiche and substituted the fruit for a bowl of French onion soup. Thankfully #2 cautioned me that the soup just came put of the oven. It was SCALDING HOT! Waiting 10 min did not help. It was necessary to add water and ice cubes. So, I concentrated on the quiche. The standard dinner plate for the quiche was glaringly overstated! But, that's a tea house for you!

Great place to go for Christmas shopping. Lots of ornaments and cute little gifts. Nice restaurant as well. Good place to spend a couple hours. For lunch I had the Reuben and Orange Strawberry Salad. My wife had the Chicken Salad. I also had the French Onion Soup. Always good food.

The menu hasn't changed much over the years but if it ain't broke why fix it? Highly recommend the roast beef sandwich. The pesto pizza is newer but also good. Soups and desserts can vary. Years ago I had the best Key lime pie here and I've had it in the Florida Keys! Sadly, the chef hadn't made any pie recently (blueberry cobbler did sound good). Fun to look through the store while waiting for a table. Prices are better than some of the other little shops in town on many items too.

Great food at this mostly gift shop. I had a roast beef bake which is shaved beef, horseradish sauce on a croissant that’s baked with a topping on provolone cheese. I got mine with fruit but there are choices of chips or salad. My wife ordered a special, chicken salad melt which came open faced on a croissant, melted cheddar and chips. Both very tasty. Chips were crispy kettle style. We enjoyed coffee with our lunch and gave in to temptation getting their warm skillet chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream. Oh so good. My wife wandered around the gift shop area lots of things of interest.

This review is focused on the gift shop not the restaurant (which I haven't eaten at in years). Such a cute shop with a wide variety of items from home decor to jewelry, kids items, snacks, bathroom soaps and scrubs and they sell Vera Bradley too. It is multi story so be prepared for stairs. It is a great place to spend some time poking around. Prices are decent as well.

A must visit, have lunch in a Civil War Era home, relocated to just outside Muirfield Village near the Columbus Zoo, from Morgan County in 1985. The owners have poured a lot into this gift store restaurant combined. This is not a Cracker Barrel, it is much better! My wife and I dropped in for lunch and both had Pot Pie which offered a choice of a side: salad, chips, or fruit. The healthier side of us opted for the side of fruit which was freshly cut. All were delicious! There are two main dining areas, and we actually wete seated in the original Weaver home, (who owned the home in Morgan County while General Morgan opted to stay there several times in the Civil War Era) and enjoyed a cozy fire, (both dinning areas have fireplaces). After lunch there is a multi level gift store to explorer. When you shop in one area you quickly discover many other areas and levels, including furniture. We love non-cookie cutter restaurants and shops, this in a must stop! Handicap access is available for the main dinning area with a ramp in the rear portion of the building.

Wonderful but pricey food. Many groups of women eating throughout the restaurant with adequate spacing of tables. Waitress was very attentive and did a good job explaining the menu. I will come back again. At 11:30am there was no waiting for a table. Shop has many items to purchase which were reasonably priced. .

Only adequate food in both taste & portion size. & service was slow though plenty of open tables. Positive note,: No loud music, relaxed atmosphere, conversations can be heard. Will not re-visit.

It's nice to be able to look around the shop while you wait for a table, and they call you over a loud speaker, so you don't have to worry about missing your spot. I like how they serve mini muffins instead of bread loaf, as a unique starter to brunch. The food was average, lacking flavor, but it was complimented with friendly, attentive service, as well as a quaint atmosphere and delightful scent filling the air.

The portion size of the quiche was very small. It was good but the asparagus pieces were very tiny, and celery pieces big. I thought they were definitely trying to economize. The butternut soup was good and the tiny muffin..size of a quarter, tasty, but once again skimpy. They're charging a lot, but you don't get much. I was still hungry.

The experience in Morgan house was very friendly, good service, wonderful food! Nice menu with a broad assortment to choose from. Afterward, we always visit the gift store where I started my Christmas shopping. The assortment of gifts is amazing. I do not live in the area. I live in Michigan, and when I visit family in Columbus, we like to make this a destination!!

This place is my fiancΓ©s heaven on earth. A timely place that was previously a cabin (can learn more about the stories from a book there explaining its origin). A cozy and homing feeling.... areas where u can eat.... the carriage house in the front section was part of the original cabin. Ever holiday or change of season, they have those types of seasonal gifts. It's a happy and calming place to be and experience. She got me hooked, as she started coming here as a child for every occasion.... sometimes just to feel happy! Be prepared to enjoy being there a while....we are usually there for hours. Highly recommend and hope that others get to experience the magic and light that she does from this place!

Went here at 2pm on a Thursday, and one of the first things you see is a sign stating, "Sorry but we are short staffed. Be nice to the servers as it isn't their fault." After that, it took about 30 minutes to be sat in a half full dining room. We placed orders, and waited patiently for around 45 minutes for our food to come out. Once it came out, my "open faced turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce" was simply a small piece of toast with lunch meat and canned cranberry sauce glopped on top. (I could tell it was canned since I could still see the ribs from where it popped out of the can). Additionally, the soup we ordered arrived cold. It was warm on the top, but cold once mixed in, and had obviously been microwaved from the fridge. Ultimately, the food didn't taste too bad, but was probably some of the laziest food I've ever seen in a restaurant.

Today was a huge disappointment at Morgan House. My aunt and I share this date for our birthdays, so my mom treated us to one of our favorite places. We are all 3 fans of their quiche, so that's what we ordered - and it was beautiful... but the excitement ended there. It was extremely dry and bland, not even close to what we have enjoyed before! Big birthday let-down. I don't know why they've changed their recipe, but I really hope they recognize this mistake and go back to tried and true! Everything else was amazing as always!! Lovely gifts in the shop, people were friendly and very helpful in accommodating two ladies with rollaters, and our server (it was her first day), absolutely delightful!

Food is average, service a bit slow on the day I was there. The house is absolutely amazing though! All things Christmas and everything in between. Great way to spend the day!

Put your name in restaurant first because it is an hour wait...but that's ok because you then have time to wander around the wonderful gift shop! Not handicapped accessible because several sets of stairs and very narrow aisles. Overall wonderful experience.

The shop is wonderful. My daughter and I took my granddaughter to lunch. Thinking it would be a nice tradition. We were ignored for 30 minutes. Brought our drinks then waited again. I have never left a restaurant before. But we did, leaving cash for our drinks on the table. Won't be going back or recommending their restaurant.
