Amazing zoo. Been here multiple times since I was a child. Lots of animals from around the world and all staff seem to be friendly. Food and drinks served around the zoo too with toilets placed along the route. Was here today for the Wild Lights display. It was amazingly done and their was food stands (hot dog, burger + chicken stands inc. vegetarian options) + coffee stands around the route. Really nice display and is worth a visit.

Very cool. I was impressed with the amount of animals. We went earlier in the morning which was nice since as we were leaving a bunch of younger kids and teens were very loudly showing excitement. They have very nice enclosures with the ability to view the animals if they are inside their shelters. I loved the seals and all the information provided on the signs. Very cool zoo.

Great hours spent walking around enjoying the sunshine and animals. We did stop on our way for a bite to wait around the zoo. We queued up to 40 minutes when we did get to the counter it was only one young lad on the till taking orders but another closed till beside him, there was a huge queue formed by the time we got our food but it tasted good. We really enjoyed our day, always staff about picking up loose debris, emptying bins etc.

Great zoo, especially the elephant area, I have got a few nice photo and video from elephants, sadly during covid, you can't see all the places. I have special thanks to staff because I don't have an online ticket but they manage one ticket for me in the entrance.

I can highly recommend a visit to the lights at Dublin Zoo, it was just beautiful so nice to see the zoo at nighttime but the lights were just amazing. Parking has changed so no parking along the road now but caroarks are available and are well lite. Allocate time slots ensure you have enough space and time to take lots of photos and videos while keeping socially distanced, it really was amazing as you walk the one way system, you get to see different areas of the world lit up in lights, I'll definitely book to go again. Amazing job πŸ‘

Great way to spend a nice sunny day. The tidbits of knowledge scattered around the zoo along with the animals in their beautifully crafted habitats are a treat for senses. Really nice cafes around as well and good spots to just sit and relax while taking in the sun.

This is a great zoo. The zoo is massive and the animals have quite a bit of room. Fauna is fantastic too. Bring your walking shoes because you will cover a lot of ground. My kids absolutely love it but you often see couples here too. Very family friendly. Keepers are great. Just an all-round great zoo.

The best zoo we've ever been too! Can get very close to the animals and they're clearly very well cared for. Covid measures in place throughout. All the habitats look great and very representative of actual real world habitats. Can't wait to go back!

Perfect day spot especially with children. There are a lot of animals here for children to get familiarised with. There are cafes within the zoo premises which makes it convenient for a day out plan. As an adult, I felt bad seeing animals in captivity. But I am sure they must be well taken care of.

Went to see the Wild Lights this evening, was amazing, fantastic job done. Lovely walk around the zoo with different themes for each walkway. Only negative was the parking arrangements, not enough parking which meant driving up and down the park waiting on space to become available in one of the car parks.

Situated in the heart of Dublin's Phoenix Park, Dublin Zoo transforms itself into an Amazing adventure around the world's famous landmarks and iconic symbols at night 😍 I got the 5pm slot and it took like an hour to visit the whole attraction. Greatly recommend for kids and adults alike. Everything was so beautiful, mesmerizing, and enchanting. Memories made πŸ’™

This is a great zoo. My dad worked here as a teenager in the 60s, so our first trip there this summer had some additional nostalgia. The zoo is very well laid out and the new additional habitats are cool for both the visitors and the animals. It's a great way to spend half a day in Dublin. The staff are also great.

I have wanted to visit Dublin Zoo lights for years, but unfortunately, I have always missed it. This year, we booked early and got tickets. Such a beautiful experience, to disappear for a couple of hours into a place of magic. Can't wait till next year. P.s. would love to see some live characters walking around in light up costumes πŸ˜‰

I have always enjoyed going to the Zoo, with the Covid-19 pandemic the Zoo requires you to book a time slot and only allows a certain number of people in. With the restrictions you are not allowed in to any of the animals housing enclosures, but that didn't effect our enjoyment. The staff are very friendly and very helpful and they gave the Zoo set out as a one way system allowing visitors to navigate the Zoo in an orderly fashion.

The zoo is a wonderful day out. There is a wide range of animals in spacious enclosures. The park is beautiful and easy to navigate. Each enclosure has so much information on the animal that's in It. Because of covid the inside areas are closed which is unfortunate but its still a great trip with so much to see.

Spent the day in the zoo, to play with my camera and new lens. Was great to see how good the value areas were. With the animals in groups, with others to interact with and looking healthy. Also good to hear about the breeding programs with some being at dangerously low levels. Picked today since the weather was expected to be good, which it was and it's going to get darker and colder? The lunch at Starbucks was also excellent so all in all a grand day out πŸ₯³

Went to the Wild Lights and it was amazing. There was loads of parking next to the Zoo and didn't take long to get in. I would recommend this. You have to follow a path and can't walk around freely but that doesn't affect the experience. There are stalls along the way for teas/coffees and some food. Best one I've been at so far.

Let's start with the booking system: excellent. I'm not sure if we got lucky but it's much better now than my last visit. Anyway, you don't go to a zoo to talk about people or the tickets!! The zoo itself is very well laid out. It's easy to walk around and there's plenty to see and do to keep kids (and adults) occupied. We brought a packed lunch and spent several hours exploring. It's great to see so many different animals. The exhibits are also very informative. Parking is free and close by.

Excellent, we had a really, truly lovely time & it was a brilliant experience. The animals are really well looked after & it shows. Staff are naturally caring and seem to really enjoy their job and it shows. Toilets used were clean & there’s a variety of vending machines, cafes, ice cream stalls & other places for food on site. Loads of places to sit with a picnic too. It was really good to see kids put their phones down and embrace the experience. Truly brilliant.

Though the middle island with chimpanzees needs a lot of work, as the grass is overgrowth and is looking very sad.. πŸ˜” Missed some animals as they weren't there and then booking the tickets is no information if some parts are under maintenance or some animals you wouldn't see it on your visit.... Tickets are expensive, and the restaurant in the middle of the zoo, needs to change as the food is impossible to eat... πŸ™„ Overall is a nice experience in the zoo. Though the changes they made is better for the animals, as some have much more space. Hope the money for the tickets are spent well.

Went on a weekend with kids, family and friends to see the Dublin Zoo lights for the first time. Was lucky to have a good weather, didn't rain and wasn't much cold. The lights and shows were truly magical and mystical. Seemed like a wonderland. Kids enjoyed and loved it so much. Tips: Try to avoid weekends which gets very crowded. Had to park 1.2km away from the venue, so try to be early on the weekends. Will highly recommend and revisit next year.

Dublin zoo is a wonderful place to visit for anyone who loves animals and nature. The zoo is home to over 400 animals from around the world, including endangered and rare species. The zoo is also very well maintained, with spacious and naturalistic habitats for the animals. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and they offer various talks and events throughout the day. The zoo also supports conservation projects and breeding programmes, so your ticket helps to protect wildlife and their habitats. Dublin zoo is a great attraction for families, couples, and solo travellers, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fun and educational day out in Dublin.

"Visiting Dublin Zoo on a Friday day trip from Cork was an unforgettable experience for my family and me. From the moment we stepped through the gates, we were immersed in a world of wonder and excitement. The zoo's sprawling grounds are beautifully landscaped, providing a natural habitat for the diverse range of animals housed here. What truly stood out was the dedication of the staff, who were not only knowledgeable about the animals but also passionate about conservation efforts. We enjoyed engaging with them during feeding times and educational talks, gaining insights into the importance of wildlife preservation. The zoo also offers numerous amenities, including cafes and picnic areas, making it easy to relax and recharge between adventures. Overall, our day at Dublin Zoo was filled with laughter, learning, and lasting memories. It's a must-visit destination for families seeking a fun and educational outing.

Dublin zoo is one of the best I've seen in the world. Every creature you want to see is there. On a sunny day and with the new normal you can actually enjoy even more. Less people = more time to see the animal. It's a one way system. You can miss a thing, obviously if the lions or penguins are not out, don't blame the zoo staff, instead look around there are plenty of monkeys staring at a tortoise while eating ice creams. Just wondering who's watching who! But anyway I love Dublin zoo, so do my kids. Gotta stop writing. Check for yourself.

We visited the new Safari Trail during Covid. We love the zoo and have been here many times. This new experience is a one way system and we think we actually saw more animals than on previous visits. Well done on keeping the zoo experience alive through tough times.

It's really well set up, and it feels like most animals have reasonable space. It is an enjoyable walk that feels like a nature walk at the same time. I didn't see any behavior from the animals that would show boredom except for the hippopotamus who could do with a larger pond (the only one I saw going round and round over and over again). However, despite the signs put up, people were knocking on the windows trying to get some reaction from the animals. Also social distancing wasn't always observed by people. I think that the zoo should have a few members of the staff patrolling around to reinforce the rules.

Great place to go for a family day out. There are plenty of rest areas and toilets dotted all around the zoo. It is also wheelchair friendly. There is a variety of animals and plants in the zoo with excellent view points to get a good look. However some of the animals may be hard spotted as they may be behind vegetation. Unfortunately the indoor areas of the zoo are closed to the public account of covid with the exception of the gift shop.

Always the best day out in Dublin Zoo. Highly recommend it for couples, friends and families. It’s a beautiful place and they’re constantly improving it, it’s come on so much in the last few years and the animals are always so well cared for too. There is plenty of food outlets and lots of nice picnic areas if you’re bringing your own food.

Pros: great family day out, value for money as it takes a good 3-4 hours to explore. Shops and restaurants open throughout as well as vending machines, picnic areas provided, toilets, WC toilets and baby changing room throughout the zoo. Cons: No Parking if you arrive late as car park fills up in morning time by 10am, it's weather dependant, the pandemic has a one way system in place so one would have to loop the whole zoo to exit. Needs to be pre booked and ques can be long because of this

Highly recommended to visit if you have kids . We almost spend the whole day there . Better to get annual pass as it has its benefits. Being your own foods or if you have the patience for a long ques specially nice weather or bank holiday. Bring your own picnic foods as loads of table and chairs spread to sit and eat. ❀️ Plenty of walking for the girls so better being buggy or something they can rest.

When I visited it was very quiet so made it even more enjoyable. The zoo is very spaced out but this means the enclosures are a good size. Good idea for a day out , along with friends, kids or parents. Enjoy nature along with the many animals , looking them play around. One thing to improve by the management is the directions , Map and the signs can be improved. Regarding food , there are quite a few food trucks and restaurants which has decent food both vegetarian and non vegetarian , also you get coffee , ice creams and chips, but if you want you can take just some snacks and chips if you don’t want to pay more and buy it from inside. Overall it’s a nice place which take’s around 2 to 3 hours easily! Also if you buy tickets online you get 15% off and can escape the queue so plan accordingly. If you buy ticket for a time slot , try going at the same time if not possible the you can also go later anytime before the last entry I.e 5 pm

It was just ok for a day out with grandchildren. Unfortunately there is not a lot of animals that we could see. I presume that the zoo is still recovering after covid. Unfinished what animals there are, are mostly hidden by dense overgrowth, needs work cutting and pruning. We brought our own picnic and there were plenty of park benches in picnic areas to sit down. Overall the cost of a family ticket at over €60 2+2 is not value for money based on a lack of animals.

Our experience was fantastic, a busy day, we got to see so much, all the animals were beautiful. The list too long to include in review, all appeared very well cared for, and their surroundings so natural to their normal habitat. Even the toilets and various building were straw roofed. I felt like I was on safari for a day. A welcome cool walk at different stages of the experience. Beautiful bamboo shade. Indoor play area is perfect for a cooling off pit stop for children, and respite from any weather. Every animal was very visible, we missed the elephants, it the end of our visit, as it was evening and feeding time. I admire all the hard working Zoo staff for all their hard work and their genuine love for the animals. No matter what the weather, they do their job for the love of the animals, . A visit to the Zoo makes us realise how wonderful to have such a vast array of every species to enjoy, as so many are endangered unfortunately. Thankyou to all involved in making it a great experience.

Absolutely loved the zoo. Spent nearly 4 hours walking around looking in every enclosure. They were working on one or 2 so the animals were elsewhere, but it didn't really impact on the trip. Animals are well cared for and healthy. Lots of info about breeding programmes and conservation. Good drinks facilities (not too pricey) and lots of toilets all round the site. Worth every penny.

Fab! Dublin zoo is a fantastic day out, they have put measures in place to keep visitors safe during the pandemic which makes the zoo flow just as well as it always did, the enclosures are all really well kept and presented with lots of space for the animals to roam and hide if they dont want to be disturbed. Very highly recommend it.

We are big fans of Dublin zoo. We have been going as a couple and family for years. This was the worst visit ever. The new one way system does not cater for toddlers you have to go fully around the zoo. There was no enforcement of masks and the sanitizers were mainly empty. There was very little staff around and considering the family passes are limited and day prices are the same this was a very poor visit and a total waste of money. We did not feel safe at all here. Won't be going back anytime soon.

Really well set up to deal with current covid restrictions. A well thought out one-way route brings you around the whole zoo, hand washing facilities well placed throughout. Bear in mind anything indoors is now shut (including things like the reptile house and dinosaur exhibits) but they've set up most of the food outlets to do takeaway so coffees, ice creams, sandwiches etc all available. A great day out with the kids.

Even during winter month the ZOO is great choice. Due Covid restrictions we couldn't visit indoors exhibitions, which I was not aware about it before visit (haven't seen updates on website). Been here twice in a gap of 1-2 year. The maintenance has continued to be excellent, the staffs seem very dutiful. Quite a few variety of animals/birds to see but whatever is in are absolutely flamboyant. Need patience and luck to check them all out in a single visit. May be because this Zoo is housed within the Phoenix Park, it gives a feel of an Animal park/Forest walk rather than a traditional Zoo. Kids will thoroughly enjoy and is indeed a good spot for family outing. The food/snack kiosk are hygienic and also there are automatic vending machines setup intermittently inside. COVID-19 social distancing guidelines were in place and well followed with clear demarcation on the paths to traverse.

A warm welcome from staff, although weather was wintery, meaning some of the animals were not out and about. Even still, it was lovely to stroll around the grounds & take time to appreciate those who were available to observe; in particular the Asian Elephants - they were wonderful to watch & very active. Also the wolves, seals and hornbill - who took great pride displaying a deceased mouse, held in it's bill, which was fascinating to witness, as this unusual bird wanted to seemingly communicate with the small gathering of on-lookers. Also outside to see were lions, monkeys, zebras, amongst others. Plenty of sanitising stations, toilets and a coffee take-out shop. One of the pluses was the different historical features you may not have noticed when there have been crowds - an original Dublin Zoo gate, dating the opening year & other such rememberence nods. Welcome back Dublin Zoo and thank you for the conservation work you support & joy you bring to visitors.

Very good day out lots of space between visitors and animals appear to have lots of green space. Wasn’t able to see a tiger or lion but the orangutans, Elephants, rhinos giraffes and gorillas were all great. Only recommendation was to add some child friendly height loos and wash basins.

  • 4/5 Amy F. 3 years ago on Google
A well kept Zoo with some really great animals. The large wide open African Plains section is a must, zebras and rhinos and giraffes and elephants etc... really great. There are some unique and endangered species in the zoo that are really cool and the food isn't bad for a light snack. A must see stop for tourists and a nice and educational day out for natives. The seals are a great stop and there's lots of monkeys. The gorillas and orangutans are truely amazing and the hippo is a must see too.

I absolutely enjoy myself today at Dublin Zoo, one way system is up due to Covid-19 but i think that just makes it so much easier and they're making sure you're not missing anything, luckily I was able to see all the animals before the rain came on!! πŸ₯° vending machines with water, fizzy drinks and snacks dotted all over the place, the coffee and burgers are not to be forgotten either, enjoy every second there! Thank you for having me!!

Always a great day out. One way system definitely helps with the current covid restrictions - also plenty of seating areas around, we had picnic with us - well prepared πŸ˜€ Plenty of work going on around the zoo to keep enclosures/ areas updated for the animals. Will look forward to returning sometime soon.

  • 5/5 The Travelling C. 2 years ago on Google
Best zoo. Beautifully landscaped and maintained. Plenty of animals to see and their enclosures are well maintained. They definitely care about animal welfare and invest in the zoo. You could easily spend a day sauntering around this zoo, getting lunch etc. Shop isn’t as good as it used to be - less variety than before. Parking can be hit and miss so go early enough or be prepared to walk. Christmas at the zoo is brilliant with the Wild Lights events.

Always a pleasure to visit Dublin Zoo. The animals look really looked after and happy. It a small zoo but it still takes you half a day to see all the residents. It's a shame that some indoor facilities or enclosures are still not available. Also, the new booking system does not make sense. It would be more logical and help keep social distancing to let smaller groups book a slot every 15 minutes rather then taking booking for large groups every hour.

  • 5/5 Lucy K. 2 years ago on Google
It has been probably 3 years since I was there last time, was worried with the covid and restrictions, but was very surprised and actually for once I enjoyed it. No crowds, it's one way walk through system, which I think is brilliant, other visitors adhered to the rules too, toilets were very clean, and all place was very tidy in general, food area, not crowded at all. It was all perfect πŸ‘Œ well done to all staff, doing their job extremely well 😊

Had a lovely day at the zoo even though its scaled back and restricted with covid with a one way system in place it was a nice day out. The zoorassic Park and other exhibits that are indoors are closed which is understandable but disappointing. Most of the animals were still out and about and the weather was on our side so all in all a good family day out highly recommended going back there again πŸ‘πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ‘πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ‘πŸ‘

Wonderful place filled with lots of interesting animals. Me and my friends had booked in at three and by the time we got around to some animals a lot of them were asleep which was something we wish we were aware of as we probably would have came early. But besides that a very pleasant experience and nice walk around the grounds

  • 5/5 Aeron E. 2 years ago on Google
fantastic zoo. wide exhibits, healthy animals with vibrant coats. always seems like you're not going to see the animal but a little more of a walk will bring you to another angle with a clearer view. a shame that indoor exhibits are closed now due to covid as they seem really interesting. toilets and bottle refills aplenty. there were these paper-cloth statues everywhere that i found simply delightful. my entire round took about 3 hours.

Wasn't sure what to expect with the indoor sections being closed, but there was still plenty to see and we spent three hours at the zoo. There's currently a one-way system in place which is mostly self explanatory. Lots of information about the environmental and animal welfare work today the zoo is engaged in. Reasonably priced and the staff seemed friendly, with the zoo being clean and free from litter.

Beautiful Place. Visited it second time now. The place has changed a lot since Covid. Most of the indoor places are closed, they have also changed a few routes from before. I would wait until the indoor facilities are back in action for my next visit.

The improvements have been amazing in the last 3 years, the animals looked happier. Each area was spotless and there was sanitising stations around ever corner. There is added water stations which is a fantastic idea, staff were helpful and friendly. The check in process was seamless and quick. The novelty toys can be purchased at stalls outside of the zoo for half the price. Parking is still a bit of a nightmare but a space is always found (eventually). Absolutely fab experience.

We visited Wed 05.01.22. Not too busy but a lot of the animals were indoors / asleep because of the cold weather. Arrived at 11.30am and stayed till 2.30pm so kept well occupied. Wild Lights statues were there, say they would look fab at night. Our highlights: chimpanzees, wolves, giraffes, elephants and sea lions! No penguins or ostriches because of bird flu. Lot of the exhibits were closed, reptile house, discovery centre, any indoor places. Only outdoor eating permitted so wrap up well if you visit!

A good day out. The birds were out of sight because of bird flu but there was still loads to see and we managed to catch the feeding times which definitely added to the enjoyment as the animals became more active. Great food too

  • 4/5 Silvano G. 2 years ago on Google
Extensive zoo with a big collection of unique / endangered animal species. On a weekly work day, not too busy. Minor downside that the majority of birds were not presented to visitors due to bird flu, and the snow leopards and grey wolves were also not show (unknown reason). Apart from these small details, the visit was very enjoyable and can keep you occupied for at least half a day!

  • 5/5 Ian M. 1 year ago on Google
Fantastic day out with the kids today and helped by great weather. Free parking and lots of little snack and drinks facilities dotted around the place help to complement the dining area for when you need a longer break. The Chicken Hut was delicious and good value. The kids meal would have done both our children. Hope to be back again soon.

Wonderful staff, well treated animals. Kids will have a great time. Lots of refreshment vending machines all around. Buggy friendly. Food in the Meerkat Restaurant is to be avoided, especially the burned pizza at 13.50 euros. See photo. You would be safer with the fish and chips. -1 star.

A great place to visit with Family and Friends. There are many enclosures with animals and lots of interesting information and timed guides. Being there on a Saturday we spent 5 hours in the Zoo, as it allows for both "meeting" the animals, children play zones, as well as food areas for both snacks and proper meals.

  • 5/5 Maxine E. 1 year ago on Google
Enjoyable day with my husband. I have a love hate feeling about zoos. Most enclosures large and enriching for the animals. I think some of the wolves need a bit of hydrotherapy as most looked old and decrepit. So many toilets and food places along the route and friendly staff! Most animals were very active and we saw the majority. Would definitely visit again!

Great zoo! Amazed by the space they had for all the animals. Some animals were summer snoozing but we had a great day and the kids loved it. Lots of seating to stop and take 5, water stations to refill your water bottles dotted about. We got a great weather day which made the day.

  • 5/5 Angelica R. 10 months ago on Google
Stunning place, it was beautiful weather, I was expecting to be very busy but I was pleased, we got enough space to take pictures and get to see the animals at our own pace. I loved the information rooms with different insects, taxidermy and much more. You definitely need a whole day to be able to see everything.

  • 5/5 Alexandru B. 10 months ago on Google
amazing! very well organized park with many kinds of plants and trees, clean and tidy, to see all the animals you have to walk almost the whole day as they sleep hiding in the plants, but this is not a problem there are many toilets and places to eat and also hide from the sun or rain

  • 4/5 Paul C. 11 months ago on Google
Visited on 28/04/23. The zoo has no parking, but we parked opposite the entrance in cricket ground, no change for parking, 2 minutes to entrance. On entering, you have a lovely view of the lake. Book / guide is available for €3 or maps around the zoo showing where you are. A few newish areas with some still being built or refurbished. Food was limited, but there were lots of drinks available in vending machines that accept card payments. If going to see the elephants, they may not be out at certain times due to training for future move. No time given for what times through the day this may happen. We were lucky as they were just coming out when we arrived in the early afternoon. Watch out for the keeper's racing around on quad bikes! Visit lasted just over 3 hours, so easily done in an afternoon, only €19 on the gate for an adult.

  • 5/5 Kevin C. 10 months ago on Google
This zoo is absolutely fantastic, it really exceeded my expectations. The highlight, in my opinion, are the gorilla and chimpanzee enclosures. One of the few zoos that I felt they had an adequately sized and natural feeling space. I'd like to see an expansion of the sea lions enclosure in the future, as that one did feel a little small. But overall, excellent job.

Should you go to one of the oldest zoos in the world? Yes. Do they have nice habitats for the animals? Yes. Are there activities for you kids? Yes. Is the staff friendly? Of course they are. Is the food good? Yes, what we had was good. There is a lot to see. You also have a park nearby for more walking if you are up to it. Book your tickets online beforehand and show them your bar code, easy. I thought the place was also clean Check it out.

Great place especially for kids! The park is huge, you need around 2-3h to see everything. There are food stalls everywhere. We visited on a Friday and didn’t prebook a ticket, we didn’t even have to wait on the line although it was quite busy that day. The best thing about Dublin Zoo is that its spacious and the nature that’s surrounds it is beautiful. All the animals look happy and healthy and there are indoor and outdoor areas for them with lots of space !

Dublin Zoo was amazing! It’s situated around a large lake which is beautiful. There are so many different animals, some of which I’ve not seen in a while. I especially loved the sea lions. My boyfriend Pete loved the gorillas and monkeys the best. The snow leopard was gorgeous! Highly recommend a trip to Dublin

It was an amazing day in Dublin Zoo! Very warm and we saw a lot of exotic animals, animals I wouldn't have seen otherwise. I wish they would roam in their natural habitat, however I understand how important to save some of them from extinction. The lady at the gorilla enclosure made a speech about breeding programs and explained a lot of things about their living conditions and habitat. Highly recommend visiting the zoo!

  • 5/5 Michael T. 6 months ago on Google
Not what I expected to do in Dublin but it was a remarkable Sunday. One of the best zoos I’ve seen. Their focus is on natural habitat vs number of species giving the animals room to roam. Each exhibit was well designed.

Fantastic zoo in the heart of Phoenix Park. Large variety of animals which you can see up close. Animals are very well cared for with excellent conservation and breeding programs. Wide open walkways and lots of toilet stops make this an easy stroll through the zoo. Great food options to boot.

This was a lovely zoo. They were setting up for the Christmas light show and it looked incredible so shame it wasn't on when we went. All the animals looked well cared for, highlight was the savanna. There were lots of picnic areas, toilets and little adventure/ play areas throughout the zoo every few minutes walk which is great for families. There was also a big adventure indoor playpark.

We went to the Wild lights show at Dublin Zoo. Absolutely breath taking. I would recommend everyone should do it. We are making it our new December tradition. We will be back to visit the Zoo during the day to see all the animals! 5 out of 5 !

very fun day out!! all of the wild lights decor was still up when we visited which had some fun photo ops. one downside is that a lot of the food outlets seem to have shorter opening hours than displayed on the website - gift shop closed quite early too.
