What a lovely, absolutely lovely restaurant. The owner was phenomenal. The restaurant is small and cute. The food. Beyond delightful. It was seriously some of the best food I have had in years. Everything was cooked to perfection, the flavors, the textures and plating was superb. When I go back to Ireland, I will be making a stop here again. Any friends or family going to the area, I will never not recommend them. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.

So good that I came here twice during a one week stay in Dublin. Everything was excellent, but the chicken was my favorite - so juicy and flavorful! The early bird special is a great value as well.

An Intimate Dining Experience. Had a lovely three course meal September the 16th. The space is quite, “little” as the name implies. Two front of house staff. We had made reservations earlier and presented our Pandemic credentials. We had a lovely small table. Simple décor. Quite an interesting music selection played in the background. For starters I had the Little Kitchen Seafood Chowder and my wife had the Baked Brie, Wrapped in Parma Ham and Spring Pastry, Apple and Tomato Chutney. Hers was outstanding in its taste and texture. Mine was a light creamy chowder which was wonderful but not as wonderful as my wife’s Brie. For mains I had the chef’s special, an Herb Encrusted Hake with mint pea purée, spicy potatoes in tomato salsa which was done to perfection. My wife had Tiger Prawns Risotto, Chili, Garden Peas, Parmesan and Soft Herbs. While hers was good, my dish won the second round. For our desert course my wife had the Coconut and chocolate brownie, vanilla ice cream, while I had the Selection of cheeses, apple and mango chutney, crackers. Both were excellent so I will call it a draw. Service was in the background, the décor was elegant, the food was excellent and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended.

This place was very cozy and food served pretty efficiently. The staff was friendly and food good! The menu is not extensive but it does have some gems. For a starter, main course, a glass of wine and a shared dessert I paid 45 euro!

Cosy restaurant that is a short walk from the Clayton hotel. The salmon was good. There are vegetarian options and the celeriac soup received high reviews.

Only recently found this absolute gem of a restaurant. Menu was gorgeous, so much so that we had to get 3 starters as we couldn't make our minds up, all of which were gorgeous. Then the mains were also amazing. Dessert was 10/10 as well. All for a very reasonable price considering the standard of food. Will be back very soon.

The little kitchen is this very small restaurant in a very quiet side of Dublin. The place is very cosy and decorated neatly and simply. The staff is very, polite, friendly and they take good care of their customers. I had the Butternut squash and sweet potatoes soup for starter. It was a good portion and very good full of flavor and aromas. For mains I had the chicken supreme with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Chicken was cooked to perfection and just melts in your mouth. Again very good flavors and aromas. For desert I had the creme brulee. Made to perfection with that thinly crusty crust that crackles when you dig your spoon. Sadly didn't take any photos of the other dishes. Food looked too good to waste time. Make sure to book beforehand as it was full. Service 10/10. My dishes didn't take time at all and it was a very fluent and satisfying dining experience. Big well done to the staff and keep it up!

Fabulous little restaurant! We came here for lunch on a Friday, it was very busy so we booked in advance. They offer a brunch and lunch menu with options to suit everyone. The manager who runs it is very nice and we will definitely return in the evening. The Cajun chicken quesadillas were delicious as was the egg and bacon on sourdough.

We got the Baked Brie for an appetizer which was baked to perfection. Then I got the Lamb rump for an entree, perfectly sized portion, cooked to a medium rare. Just how lamb should be cooked. My mom got the Cod and it was so flakey and delicious. Great service and great food! Highly recommend The Little Kitchen.

Got the early bird menu. 30 euro for 3 course. I picked the tomatoes and mozzarella as starter, the Moroccan chicken as the main, and the mango and passion fruit tart as the dessert. My friend got the prawns as starter (6 prawns in total), and the crème brûlée as the desert. I forgot what he ordered as the main 😅Anyway, all delicious. Good value and great food.

Ate dinner here in our last night in Dublin. The menu is simple, the portions are generous, the prices reasonable. Our meals were delicious; pork chop, spare rib, and the chef's special, which was skate wing. Arsen and his staff do a wonderful job. Reserve in advance, or you will wait outside, if you can even get in. Space is tight.

We had a family get together: 8 people. The food was amazing. It was the early bird menu: 3 courses. I had the surf n turf starter, Lamb for the main course and Black forest moose for desert. Every serving was delicious. The wine was fantastic and recommended by the owner. Service was overall good, however, not all courses were produced at the same time, we had some finished and others starting. Atmosphere is good in general: The room is very warm and there is no fan. Booking your table is a must.

Great cozy restaurant near Clayton hotel. For Canadian dinning habit, 5-6:30 pm early bird rate is perfect! Lamb is awesome, go for medium rare. Seafood are also tasty ask for the daily special. One thing you need to be careful is the water, unless you identify tap water otherwise it will be bottled still or sparkling, which could cost just like one glass of wine. Sit away from the door in the winter of possible, the window seats are nice but too windy when customers come in and out.

Horrible service but good food, waiter was very rude, it ruined our experience. Maybe you shouldn't accept that many bookings if they can't handle it. If you have a 2 hours policy, notify the guests beforehand. We kindly moved table to accommodate a larger group before our dessert, waiter didn't even help us to move our glass or anything then we felt constantly pressured to go out, very disappointing. Lots of restaurants out there get better staff.

Friendly service. Large portions. Cod was perfectly cooked as were the accompanying mussels. Caviar to boot, which I happen to enjoy. Solid four stars. If you like bigger portions, you will love this place.

Lovely lunch and great service, a bijou menu well executed. Dropped in just they opened had the steak sandwich… wow ! ( horse radish with the fries would have topped it off ) & my wife had the Chicken with cous cous which she really enjoyed. Staff was lovely… even gave us a wave later that evening on the way back to our hotel. Definitely be back again.

Delicious food and beautiful ambience! Was a last minute decision so no reservation but the staff welcomed us and we were able to get seated and served very quickly. Didn’t relieve they had a “early bird” special before 6:30 pm and that was a pleasant surprise! Saving this place as one spot I would need to bring others when I’m back in Dublin 😋

We had a lovely Early Bird dinner here at the Little Kitchen. We were seated at a cosy table, well away from the door, as requested. Staff here are great. Attentive and caring, which is so nice now, when everyone seems to be rushing. With two courses for €30, the food was absolutely delicious. My friend had vegetable soup to start, while I opted to wait and have a dessert. Mains of Roasted Cod with mussels and sauté potatoes and Beef Shortrib with creamy cabbage were gorgeous. We were both delighted with the taste. I had Apple and Mixed Berry Crumble for dessert which went down a treat. I was more than happy that I had skipped the starter. Two bottles of Biera Moretti and the bill was €71. Absolutely great value for such delicious food. I’d recommend a visit to anyone who might be in the locality.

A group of 7 of us massively enjoyed our fantastic lunch experience last Friday. The service was excellent, food was unreal, we had some vegetarian colleagues and meat eaters and everyone loved their meal and clean plates were left by all. €30 for a 3 course lunch at this amazing quality 👌 you couldn't ask for more. Book yourself in for a treat you won't be disappointed. Fab wine and cool decor too ! We shall be back 100%

Feminine themed portraits and paintings of well known figures on the wall, including Marilyn Monroe. A small busy neighborhood restaurant, cozy and friendly atmosphere, great service and good food. The prices were moderate. We ordered: 3*Soup of the day: celeriac soup was light and good. 5*Tiger Prawn Risotto-Chilli, Roasted Red Peppers Soft Herbs and Parmesan: generous portion with lots of prawns. Fresh and tasty. 3*Chargrilled Pork Chop on the Bone-Hasselback New Baby Potatoes, Braised Savoy Cabbage, Leek and Mustard Sauce: very good gravy. Portion was big. Cabbage was tasty. Good food but nothing fancy. 3*Rump of Lamb-Dauphinoise Potatoes, Broccoli, Parsnip Puree, Charred Baby Leek, Red Wine Jus: per normal. I would order it again, but nothing special. 4*Black Forest Chocolate Mousse, Honeycomb, Chantilly Cream: pretty good. 4*Selection of Irish Cheeses, Crackers, Chutney Grapes and Apples: liked the arrangement.

The food was excellent, the ambiance was great and our party of six could hear each other. The prawn risotto is a spectacular starter. The hake and mussel bouillabaisse was well prepared, fresh and well spiced. Great value.

It should be called the smallest restaurant! it is a tiny place not for the claustrophobic! But it made up for size in terms of excellent service and fantastic food. Good wine selection. Range of foods and specials for the evening. Slightly pricey but overall worth it. Party of 3 all delighted with dinner. Interesting art on the walls.

The name says little but it’s a grand kitchen in terms of taste & service! We went for dinner with colleagues and the first thing to notice is the size of this restaurant which is small but cozy. You may get bumped by the moving people but it’s part of the fun. Food was delicious and the wine was top notch. Tried the tiger prawn and Rump of Lamb which was great.

This is a little gem near the City. They have a good menu deals plus it's really delicious. Starter selections are great.. you can be satisfied and full even with only this. Their mains are worth to try as well as the desserts.

  • 5/5 Ryan O. 3 years ago on Google
Would highly recommend. Great staff and excellent food! It only holds about 30 people max so it really feels like the chef can take time to make the food to the highest standard as opposed to having to rush it out if there was a bigger capacity

Booked last minute to due to new covid restrictions coming in, wanted to get a final meal in for a few weeks. Partner had the goats cheese salad, I’d the garlic prawns. Steak for main and fisherman’s pie. Half baked chocolate desert. Overall food was 10/10 - so nice and fresh. One of the nicest meals I’ve ever had. But what made it was the setting and the staff. Everyone so polite and kind. The front area with blankets and heaters was perfect to make the most of what we have currently. Looking forward to coming back soon. Thank you

We had a lovely 'Take Home' dinner. Prawn starter was absolutely delicious. The hake was excellent, with the pea mash. The bulgar wheat served with the halloumi was delicious. It all stayed warm on the way home, and was easy to serve. It is wonderful to have such a gem on your doorstep

The Little Kitchen takeaway was a highlight of my 60th Birthday in Level 5 lockdown. There arent many good restaurants doing takeaway on a Tuesday night. The Little Kitchen was a real find. Easy to order. You can pick from the bigger menu on the website - not just the takeaway menu. (call to confirm). They were flexible and made a menu adjustment on when ordering. The food was ready - spot on the time requested. I was worried it might cool down driving to Rathmines but shouldnt have been concerned. The Scallops were really good. Lamb shanks (superb), duck (lovely), hake (amazing). The sweet tooted people we’re happy with the sticky toffee pudding- and the cheese plate was really good. All at a price point that will have me coming back VERY soon. This is too good to be missed.

My girlfriend and I visited this gorgeous restaurant for our anniversary. Our lovely waitress Anita attended to our every need and was so friendly and lovely. The food was amazing and the early bird two courses for €23 is excellent value especially considering the generous portion sizes. We had a wonderful evening here at the little kitchen and will be coming back for sure. They have spaced out tables as well and hand sanitizer available so we felt completely at ease with covid guidelines. Thank you!!

We went with a Groupon voucher. It's a very nice little restaurant. Very friendly service, the food menu has the perfect size (3/4 starters, 3/4 mains, 3/4 desserts, most of the time a sign that's fresh.). The fish was excellent, the duck mousse good and the chocolate fondant as well. I recommend.

What a find! We had a fabulous meal for 2 we even brought our own bottle of wine. I had the lamb shank and I must say it is definitely the best I have ever had, my wife had the Sea bass and loved it, perfectly cooked. Little kitchen, tiny dining room. But once you get past the size (size does matter! ), the food is really nice. The risotto chorizo was outstanding, the tiger prawns were really nice though I'm used to them being bigger (size does matter again! ). The lamb was nice though a bit dry especially with roasted veggies such as turnip, carrots and potatoes. The meat was very tender, nice!

  • 5/5 Mack C. 4 years ago on Google
Very enjoyable but I would say I only enjoyed it because we did the guided tour. Our tour guide was with us for an hour.. without her I would have been abit bored but it’s cheap enough and a must see anyway. Only 4 euros extra for a guide. She was funny, very informative and very clearly spoken. Absolutely recommend! However if you don’t know much about history etc ( like me ) and just going along for the ride of seeing as much of Dublin as you can you would think this is a castle. It is not, only one tower of the castle remains and it has been built around, it’s more of a large political building but very grand inside and beautiful with lots to see.
