I am so shocked how terrible the food is here, and don't get why the review is as high as 4.7 on google.. Both my friend and I think we prefer Mcdonalds.. The seafood here (scallop and lobster) smells too fishy, compared to other Michelin guide restaurants or even a random restaurant on street. They could add some soury flavour to cover it. The lobster is too heavy to eat, and the desert is like the ones you can get on M&S shelves. Anyway, we both were so shocked at the good rating here, did people lose their taste buds?! I would recommend against to everyone I know and will not come back again..

Ate here for the first time this week. Setting is lovely, as it feels you are abroad in a proper French restaurant. The menu was perfect, offering a great choice of starters and the mains had a nice selection from fish, beef and pork. This was definitely a treat and will return to eat here again, for sure. And I have to mention the staff. They had the correct mix of providing service & guidance on wine selection but they were not ‘ in your face’ as such. Every one should eat here, it’s a great treat.

An exceptional experience as usual. The staff are so welcoming and the atmosphere is just perfect. The quality and presentation of the food is on another level. I can not recommend Dax highly enough.

My husband booked Dax to celebrate my birthday. What a surprise!!! I loved everything and every single dish. It was an unforgettable experience. The service is fabulous as is the food. Also the Wine list is impressive. Thanks Dax Restaurant for helping to make my day so very special.

We had a beautiful family celebratory dinner here last Saturday and we all enjoyed it thoroughly. The food was delicious as always, the service is second to none (our waiter had no problem explaining one of the options on the menu that we weren't sure of) and the atmosphere was just perfect. May I also say the wine we chose was exceptional. This is fine dining at it's best. We're just waiting on another occasion to spoil ourselves again in Dax.

Myself and my wife were treated to lunch by our daughter and future son in law.Couldnt fault it.We all had 3 courses each and drinks.3 lamb and pork for mains and rice pudding and lemon tart for deserts.Starters were scallops and salmon. A lovely fine dining experience but rather pricey.Would definitely return and this place comes highly recommend if you appreciate delicious food in a lovely atmosphere.

Loved the ambiance and atmosphere of the place. Very cosy and warm! The service was perfect with Amazing people! We had a 3 courses menu it comes with appetisers, bread and sides included. The starters were delicious and well presented. The sauce of both starters made brought it to the next level! Everything was well balanced and not overwhelming. The mains especially the deer and the Maxim potato were sumptuous! Nothing else to say except it was perfect! Loved the sourdough bread, the fluffiest I ever had especially when used to soak up the sauce!

Had a truly fantastic lunch in Dax. The staff are uber professional but not at all stuffy, they all know their stuff and are very helpful. Food is superb. Vegetarian menu was 10 Star, every mouthful a delight. The Pear dessert was one of the nicest things I have ever eaten. Also a price of €36 for a three course Vegetarian menu is excellent value. The ambiance is warm and friendly. Can't wait to go again!!!!

Service and food were great. Really loved the two small plates inbetween meals as well. Our favorite were these very rich dark chocolate balls following the main course.

Dined here this week, on a Monday in fairness, but I was surprised how bad the first two courses were for both my girlfriend and I. The venison en croute was particularly poor. My cod main was at such low temperature that it was actually off-putting. Annoyingly both deserts were very good showing what the kitchen can do. Unsure as to what happened here, the last time I dined here it was fantastic.

Wow, wow, wow. This is quite simply the best lunch we ever had! 4 courses of absolute perfection, with amazing suggested wine. The people that work here are warm, genuine and welcoming, and create the perfect environment for the incredible food that is to come. We are now life long patrons after 1 amazing visit. Was here for a wedding and by far the best food I’ve had in a long time. Simply delicious. The waiters were 5* too and my glass was never empty. Great setting. Great food. Great service.

Excellent service in a very cosy restaurant. The oyster beef starter wasn’t enjoyable imo. I found the main course nice but a bit plain and the dessert was far too sour. It’s a pity as I really liked the vibe in the restaurant.

My top favourite lunch restaurant in Dublin. We have dined there on many occasions and it never fails to impress me! The taste experience is exquisite! Looking forward my next visit in January.

Without any doubt this is one of if not the best restaurants in Dublin. Superb food by a real genius. Added to that is a staff that love the customer and love their job- Without exception. Graham is one of those rare maestros of his art and customer service. A menu of spectacular greatness. Keep it a secret. Wonderful.

Went for lunch, friendly staff. Had a 4 course meal, out of the 4 course, the only meal I enjoyed was main course venison. The oyster starter and fish course wasn't the best food for me. The wine we had (can't remember the name) was just amazing. Only giving 3 star rating because of the price we paid for food, didn't justify the experience.

Amazing food, what a talented chef! Everything from the appertisers to the profiteroles was outstanding, so much effort, care and love had gone in to each dish. You could taste it with every mouth full. The staff were helpful and friendly. Worth every penny and more than 5 stars!!

A very formal dinner but yummy one nonetheless. It is a great special occasion spot. We had multiple dishes and enjoyed each one in the typical fine dining setting.

What a treat. We visted Dax this evening. Such a superb restaurant, 5 star food, ambience and service. Excellent choice of wines. Entire evening was flawless. Olivier is a gentleman and made sure everything we needed was on hand. We definitely will be back.

We had a lovely meal here for my wife's birthday. The food is absolutely superb - if there wasn't a pandemic, I might just have kissed the chef. Or shook his hand at least. The restaurant itself has a lovely comfortable French feel to it, and the staff were all just lovely.
