9 townhouses wrapped into a boutique hotel. A bit funky in design. Staff were top notch, very helpful. Restaurant on site with nice (free) breakfast.

Fantastic hotel. Friendly service. Pleasant surroundings. Extremely spacious rooms for big families. Few minutes walking distance to middle of city centre with all amenities.

Great location, close to everything, hop-on hop-off stop, the strip, shops, bars, tours, and bus stops. Front desk staff was very polite and responsive when I had issues with my room. Wish the rooms came with an iron 👕🥌. Had breakfast downstairs, which offers traditional Irish breakfast. The service is a bit slow, but the staff had a great attitude. I didn't get a chance to see the irish dancers because it started a little later than I wanted to there given i had an early morning tour scheduled.

Friendly staff. Rooms were alright. Heating was on 35 degrees or seemed. At times way to warm. Bar was great. Good live music.

Very nice and handy hotel a stones throw away from all the action in Dublin. Room was very clean and well put together, though didn't look as nice as when booking. Staff at the hotel are superb and were incredibly helpful with our stay (and departure!). Breakfast left a little to be desired from the continental (no pastries and a bit of a noisy atmosphere), and the vegetarian option for the cooked breakfast I felt could do with another item to make it a bit more filling, though my partner was very happy with the full Irish and everything was tasty. Thanks to the hotel for the stay, I'd recommend almost entirely on the excellent service.

The staff here were exceptional and very friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast here is great, and dinner from the restaurant is very good as well. The room was less than we were expecting, it was very different than the rooms pictured for a family room, half of the outlets did not seem to work for us, the shower had essentially no water pressure. Overall we think it was a good experience for the money that we spent, the location in town is fantastic.

Stayed in this hotel 2 nights. Has a classical decor which I found very nice and cozy, the location is good. The staff was 5 stars, very friendly! The breakfast was good and we also had dinner one time in the hotel restaurant , very nice food, nice waiters and they also had live music. Now the negative parts… the bedroom was on the 3rd floor and extremely noise , if I stayed in Dublin for a week I would have to search for another place to sleep… (I had to sleep with my AirPods with the cancelling noise ON I was going crazy) The floor is from wood and covered over in carpet, but still you can hear every time the cracking noise of the floor from the other rooms, veeeeery bad! The bathroom was also nothing special, only one shower head hose ( with low water pressure) and no ceiling shower head… so for this price we were disappointed. So to summarize it , the staff is perfect, food perfect, but they need to make serious updates to the rooms.

The hotel is correctly rated at four stars. We enjoyed our stay for the following reasons. The staff provided exceptional service. This was true for all hotel functions, including cleaning, food service, and administrative and front desk. The room was spacious and well decorated. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed and the water very hot. Breakfast, dinner and bar spaces are good. The location is on a main street and can be noisy but is outside the immediate tourist area and is somewhat saved from that level of business. It is still a walkable distance to major sights. Our room faced west and became very warm in the late afternoon and evening. There is no climate control. There is easy access by city bus from the airport using the 16 or 41 lines.

We loved the Mews at the Castle and the apartment where we stayed. Location was great for walking all over Dublin. Food was very good and we loved the live Irish music every night. Staff was friendly and helpful especially when we couldn't figure out how to use the range top. Internet connection was a little spotty at times. We would stay here again!

Staff were friendly and accommodating - breakfast was included and of a good standard and the hotel itself is an old Georgian building and has a lot of charm. It does have very creaky floorboards and you can hear a lot from outside your door which may annoy some but it didn’t bother me too much. It is situated well (within 10 mins walk from the city centre) and easily accessible after a boozy night in town. My only issue is the price, I paid around £300+ for 2 nights which for what you get, was rather extortionate in my opinion. All in all, a nice place to stay but the high price brings the rating down.

Nice comfortable room for three nights. Enjoyed the mint on the first night but disappointed there wasn’t any of the other nights- perhaps it a welcome mint! ☺️ The star of the show was the full Irish fry- absolutely gorgeous and I am salivating at the sheer thought! David the waiter was especially welcoming and helpful. I had the continental breakfast on my last morning as I had to dash off for the airport. It was nice, but I would have liked to have seen some yoghurts and maybe a wider selection of danish pastries- but the selection was sufficient. If I am ever in Dublin again, I shall sure be returning. Easily accessible from the airport via the Air Coach service.

Rooms and most public places could do with a general upgrade. Painting of walls and grouting of tiles. Makes the hotel look outdated. But it's very clean. Staff are all fantastic nothing is too much trouble. Food is amazing the full Irish breakfast is definitely a must. Bar is really cozy with a wonderful atmosphere. Hotel is ideally located for most people. I'd have given 4 or 5 stars but decor needs to improve.

Such a shame, a 4* hotel, and no mini bar or fridge to keep things cool in the room. We brought some leftover food from a restaurant for the kids and asked if they would keep it cool for us and their answer was: “Due to health restrictions this is not an option!” We are trying to prevent edible food to go to waste, but… you just don’t care. Well, I guess this hotel just lost a customer!

The room was large and nice. We were traveling in November so the temperature of the room was a bit cold due only one layer of windows, but my partner love for the lava kind of showers heated up room in no time 🥵. If you have a tough time falling asleep due to the sound I recommend avoiding room n. 1 as you will experience street sounds, but I snore so my partner had that silent the street sounds 😂 Live music every evening was great and definitely was worth staying.

Had a really neat little room here for a few days. Perfect for accessing the heart of Dublin. We took the bus, but it was also fairly walkable. Great pubs nearby, and great food served at the hotel as well. The breakfast options are both good, but I would recommend the traditional Irish breakfast, served in the castle vaults restaurant. Rooms were clean, beds very comfortable, and I would certainly stay here again.

Sympathetically decorated Georgian hotel at the top end of town away from the late night revelers. Bus stops outside the hotel. Lovey attentive staff, the hotel owner has a lovely warm personality and really wants to make sure you are enjoying his hotel. Housekeeping and fresh towels every day. The hotel bar, restaurant and cafe are all great if you fancy a rest from the city. Comfy bed and pillows. We had a lovely stay.

Great location, everything is close to this hotel! The bus stop is just outside, nice view, good decorations and it includes a big big Irish breakfast which I loved! 🙌🏻✨ the people giving service there were really helpful and the room was clean and cozy (the had good pillows and a warm blanket)

I really enjoyed my stay here! Such a beautifully designed hotel with its décor. The staff were always so kind and friendly. Breakfast was great, you can choose from continental and cooked which are served in 2 different restaurants. (Vegan and vegetarian options<3) Dublin is pretty expensive in general but the price was super affordable considering and definitely worth it. I booked a single room as a solo traveller and it was perfect size for me. The location is good, about a 15 minute walk to the Temple Bar area, lots of buses stopping down the road and the tram is close by. I would say the area is much less lively as opposed to the other side of the river but still within short walking distance from bars/restaurants/shops. Would definitely stay here again!

I'm currently staying here and this place is nothing short of amazing!!! It's multiple old mansion that have all been combined, the architecture is stunning! If you're someone who loves to explore beautiful old buildings, this is the place to book! We ran into the owner who was so much fun to talk to and gave us great recommendations 😊 The rooms are beautiful, they have multiple restaurants to choose from, and all the staff we ran into were so nice. I don't know if I'll ever get to come back to Dublin, but if I do I will be making a point to book this hotel again!

I had a wonderful stay at Castle Hotel! The team members at the front desk and restaurant were all so kind and helpful, and Fionn, the owner, was very welcoming! I felt right at home! My room was comfortable and a fan was included to keep it at a comfortable temperature. There was plenty of space to unpack in the wardrobe in bathroom. One feature I really loved was the towel warmer in the bathroom. I came home and purchased one for myself! The hotel is beautiful! I stayed at the end of November, and it was decorated for Christmas. There is also live Irish music in the restaurant downstairs. I ended up going twice to during my trip, and both times were an absolute treat! The musicians were so talented. The location was perfect for me. I was only at 5-10 min walk from most things I wanted to do in Dublin, and public transit options are steps away for anything further out. Overall, I had a 10/10 experience and would love to stay at Castle Hotel again!

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Friendly staff and very welcoming. We celebrated my daughters 12th birthday and in our room was decorated with balloons a birthday banner and a beautiful card from the staff. It was a lovely touch.. 10/10

A central location of Dublin, we do everything on foot. The architecture and design are Georgian. Very special atmosphere. The staff are very nice and helpful. The room is cleaned every day. And the breakfast, you can choose between Irish breakfast or continental, both delicious. I recommend to stay here.

Absolutely loved this hotel the minute I walked in the door. Old worldly with fabulous Georgian decor, high ceilings, character and paintings. Food was lovely in the Vaults restaurant. Secure car parking.Ciara at reception was up for a laugh and super friendly and helpful. Very central for O'Connell Street and hospitals. Highly recommend and will definitely be back🥰😍

Nice hotel. A bottle of water was provided in the room on arrival, but when I asked for this to be replaced even though I didn't need my room serviced I was told they don't provide water...bit odd. Breakfast was good but generally found the service a bit slow downstairs, particularly in the evening (and it wasn't especially busy so not sure why). Perhaps more noticeable as I was a solo traveller. Overall, I'd recommend it.

We had the pleasure of spending 4 nights at Castle hotel in November 2021. Positives: 1) Excellent location!!! Its an 8 minute walk to the Spire which is literally the heart of the city centre surrounded by pubs, restaurants and shopping stores. The bus stop is a 5 minute walk. 2) Extremely clean. I observed the cleaners in passing and they sure were thorough at their job. 3) The hotel itself is a rebuilt castle (albeit not the traditional castle appearance from the outside). There's a good restaurant and bar in the cellar, as well as a cafe and a second restaurant within the hotel. There's also daily live Irish music (and dance on the weekends) which we really enjoyed. 4) I generally don't comment on staff but in this case the staff were really helpful and went out of their way to assist such as allowing us to check in early as well as store our luggage as we had an afternoon flight. 5) Breakfast was full Irish or a vegetarian option (served at your table as opposed to buffet) and we really enjoyed it. Negatives: None of note, however the one morning we had to leave early for a tour and so they gave us 'breakfast on the go' which was just a cup of coffee, a muffin and an apple. Would have preferred a few more breakfast items.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights recently. The location allowed us to walk in and out of the city. Hotel staff were wonderful. We enjoyed the Friday night entertainment with Paddy and Saturday night with Mick and the Irish dancer. Lots of awesome comfortable sitting areas where people could chat, read etc. would definitely come back.

What an amazing hotel and group of staff. The rooms were clean, tidied and attended to every day. Every single staff member from reception, the bar, restaurant and the cleaners were exceptional. We have just returned home from 3 nights here. We had a late check in and they were helpful with where we could get some late night food. They helped book taxis when we needed and just overall such friendly and helpful people. The evening entertainment on Saturday 11th December was amazing. The meals were so tasty and coffee was great. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas and a very peaceful and relaxing place. They gave us a take away breakfast when we had an excursion too! With a coffee. Near the main city and you can walk to the town within 10-15 minutes. If we ever go back to Dublin we will be coming back here. Thank you so much!! The only thing I would of liked is some bottled water for the room and a power shower.

Great place to stay while in Dublin. This hotel is quaint and comfy. The staff was amazing and always willing to help. They took care of all of our needs, and made us feel so welcome.

Nice hotel and very friendly staff. You are close to everything which is interesting in town. -1 star because there is a gap between door and doorframe which lets in a lot of light at night + the shower head is too low. I am 1.84m or 6ft1 and I cannot stand under it without bending over. Thank you for the nice experience here!

Location was central and convenient. The communal areas were beautiful, with old world decor. Room was basic but clean. However we found our breakfast very disappointing, I've genuinely had better from youth hostels. The food was poor and there clearly weren't enough staff.

I recently had a one night stay while attending a weekend course. Location was excellent and I found the hotel itself to be comfortable, cosy, relaxing with lots of little nooks and crannies to chill out in which I appreciated. The staff were absolutely amazing, every single staff member I dealt with was super friendly, cheerful and helpful which really made my stay that bit more enjoyable as I was by myself. I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast, it was sit-down not buffet and it was delicious! My room was spacious and comfortable, especially the bed! I will definitely stay here again

Great hotel in every way. Booked a room for my mum who came to visit me in Dublin after the restrictions lifted. I myself booked a room for one night as well. The staff is very polite and will assist you if needed. My mum's room got a little cold at night, and when asked if anything could be done, management themselves came up with staff to bring a big electric heater, which was just first class, cherry on top was that we got 2 Irish coffee's on the house, so just top notch, amazing service there. Rooms are nice and cozy, and i myself did not feel uncomfortably cold in any way the night i spent there. Restaurant was amazing as well, with a lovely menu and some great live music. Restaurant staff was amazing as well, and they wore mask's at all times. Breakfast starts at 7.30am, but you can get a continental cold breakfast earlier, or a takeaway if really early. Really nice hotel, and only 5 min from city centre. Definately recommended if you like to stay in Dublin in a bit of style. 5 out of 5 from us.

The crew there is nice and helpfull, you can ask about anything and they will direct you without a problem :) Food is great, always fresh. It's really close to the city centre which is one of the most important positives. Totally recommend 🙂

Great hotel. Stayed for three nights and it was brilliant. Great staff that made the stay very special and also were incredibly attentive and the food was delicious. The hotel itself was beautiful with such a rich history and the location was amazing. Will be returning again.

The hotel is lovely. The food beautiful and the staff very helpful. We had a room at the main road. Single glazed windows made our nights very noisy.

Our first time in Ireland. Lovely hotel with lots of history- especially liked the old wall clock and the singer sewing machine. Would definitely be back when next in Dublin. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I've stayed at the wonderful, comfortable, beautiful & classic, The Castle Hotel for 3 nights now, during my epic Ireland Adventure! The staff is professional, friendly, & kind. It's a crown jewel right in the city center! It's convenient location is steps away from shops, public transport & tour bus stops. I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food!
