Nice hotel but the service in the bar left a lot to be desired for a five star hotel. Plates weren't cleared for 40 minutes after food was finished. Hard to get staff to take drink orders. Four of us visited and I had to bring 8 empty glasses to the bar myself as nobody came to clear the table or thought to clear them when bringing new drinks down.

This hotel is just beautiful. A great balance between modern and traditional. The food in the restaurant is reasonably priced and just lovely. There is plenty of parking if the hotel isn’t busy but if the hotel is full I’m sure parking would be an issue, this is something I would recommend checking with the hotel reception first to ascertain if there are any guest only places to park. Staff are always very helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Would definitely recommend.

Review based on one experience. It’s been a good experience staying at International Dublin despite having a few challenges. Some things were minor, while others were more serious. But the issues were addressed, and the staff responded promptly. The service in the restaurant was a little absent. We noticed that the staff treated us differently (better) after we addressed some issues with the room. If you have a small child, be careful that the water temperature in the bathtub fluctuates without control. Our son got a little burned, but there was nothing serious. A big disappointment was when a party was organized downstairs, allowing their guests to play the music very loudly. Almost half of the hotel was affected. The receptionist said that is normal because it is the weekend, while the Duty Manager asked us to be more understanding. In the end, we asked for and received another room where to rest. With ups and downs, the experience was good in the end. There are good or not-so-good days for everyone and everywhere. We are definitely going to stay here again.

I tried the spa at the hotel a few weeks back and I have to say it was perhaps one of the most disappointing massages I've ever received, especially noting the price range of the hotel spa. They'd booked me in for the wrong treatment, so the therapist was surprised when I said I'd booked a hot stone massage. After clarifying with the front desk, she came back and confirmed we could do the right treatment. There was almost no pressure and when I asked for more, the therapist, Tia, said the pressure was standard and it wasn't possible to change. It felt very rushed and I really didn't find it relaxing or beneficial.

Such a beautiful and comfortable hotel. The rooms are so nice that you don't even want to leave them. The bed and pillows are so comfortable. Good TV channels. Only downside is that the hotel is not in the heart of Dublin. It's short walk to train and about 3 to 4 stops and you are in the city.

Beautiful hotel. Clean and comfortable room. Breakfast options were plentiful. The gym was well-equipped and sauna nice and hot. Hotel staff was friendly. You are close to DART to go downtown or to the coast and will be reimbursed for train fares. The only challenge I had was having to reset my key several times in a short stay.

The service is top tier and the rooms are very spacious and clean. The representative Gary at the front desk was very kind and informative. I highly recommend the Intercontinental Dublin!! The Spa is also life changing and the saunas are a bonus!

I have recently spent quite some time at this hotel in Dublin and I would like to compliment and praise the service offered to myself and my husband by Gary (front of house) . He was extremely friendly and helpful and could not do enough for us at a very difficult personal time for the family due to the death of my Brother. An excellent member of the team. Angie Jones.

This is an exceptional hotel with extremely high levels of service. Jackie at breakfast is an absolute delight and super helpful. The rooms are immaculate and the beds fantastically comfortable, shower super powerful. Every member of staff was great, definitely a hotel we will revisit.

Absolutely fantastic experience at this hotel. We made a last minute booking here so we could be closer to the concert venue and will never regret the decision to move to this hotel. The staff were faultless, the warm welcome from the concierge who was so helpful, the ladies on reception were extremely efficient and helpful and all the hospitality staff were of the highest caliber. Our room was spacious, included a safe and coffee machine, plus well stocked mini bar. The bathroom was huge with highest quality products. One of the best nights sleep I had, the curtains are heavy and dark allowing you to sleep well and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud with big fluffy pillows. The breakfast was amazing with a huge selection of hot and cold options, plus loads of fresh fruit options, muffins and pastries. The breakfast room is beautiful with large windows letting in the sunlight I could have happily sat there for hours! I had a meet up with friends after I checked out and they were happy to store my luggage until I returned and the concierge organised a taxi for me. I look forward to returning to this hotel.

I was visiting a family member who was staying here. The hotel has a stunning lobby filled with beautiful flower arrangements. A very welcoming appearance! We ate in the cafe in the evening with beautiful live piano music. The food was excellent so it was a wonderful experience.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating here! We also loved the rooms (HUGE by European standards) and they were very well-kept and comfortable (we all slept great after long days of exploring Dublin). The breakfast buffet was fantastic and a great deal. The only slight knock is that it's slightly outside the city, but it's an easy walk in when the weather is nice, and is quieter than the central part of town, too. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Wow, what an amazing hotel right in the heart of Dublin. We were there for two nights with work colleagues as a treat and what a treat it was! Everyone was so welcoming from the moment we entered. The rooms are exactly what you’d expect in a 5star hotel and the beds are so comfortable. Thank you for making our stay so special. We will be back!

Rooms & public areas are perfect. Staff are super. The dining was hit and miss, out of our 6 courses only 3 were good, actually the 3 good were excellent & the 3 bad were really bad. Breakfast was pleasant but not 5 star. I’ll still go back, had a stupendous sleep & look forward to using the spa the next time!

We stayed 6 nights, over Christmas. Our room was comfortable and cleaning staff did a great job cleaning every day. The pool was a nice feature, but very warm (too warm to swim laps) and was so busy that hotel staff set hours for children. It is about a 40 minute walk to city centre. Service at the hotel restaurant was very poor. Wait time (we had to approach servers ... who we never saw again), lack of service (coffee never arrived until we asked for it a third time) and quality of food left us frustrated and dissatisfied. We opted to eat away from the hotel as much as possible, which was the opposite of our experience at any other Intercontinental that we have stayed at. Many features of the hotel are more in keeping with a 3 star hotel (eg. shampoo bottle attached to wall of the shower). When we were approached by front desk to discuss an issue in the dining room, we were given excuses and told they were in compliance with IHG standards. We are still not sure why we were approached, other than to defend themselves, rather than to resolve a problem. Our next trip to Dublin, we will be looking at staying elsewhere.

This is an outstanding hotel. Amenities and service are first rate. It is a bit of a walk to downtown, but cabs are reasonable in Dublin. There is a bus stop half a block away and the Dart train to downtown is a couple blocks away.

Our flight was canceled at the last minute and the staff were able to provide us a room at midnight for 2 nights. The room was comfortable and well stocked. We were pretty exhausted and had 3 great meals provided by room service. We did take a walk to the nearby town center and the area was quite nice.

The Intercontinental Dublin is one of our favorite places to stay in Dublin. The accommodations are beautiful and the service is friendly, efficient and professional. High tea or a light dinner is wonderful in the sunroom. The hotel also offers a wonderful breakfast buffet in the main dining room. For some the location is an issue as it is some distance from downtown. But, for us, we love the quiet after a full day of sightseeing. Helpful Hint: We got a multiple day pass with the Big Bus and got a “twofer” - an overview of the city and a unique taxi after we had seen the sights. The stop is not too far from the hotel - and we love to walk.
