Every corner of the hotel is a piece of art. The lobby is spacious and has many comfy sitting area. We went for evening tea and we really enjoyed it. The hotel also has an external terrace which is really nice during summer and sunny days. They also have a self check in service which minimize the risk of close contact with staff as a precautionary covid-19 measures.

A college dorm room would have been better. The self check-in didn’t work and after we tried three times, with four people standing around the lobby who work for the hotel not offering assistance, we finally got assistance. It seemed like it was too much for the individual to assist. After being handed our keys, we had to ask how to find elevators (simple directions make a difference for people just checking in). The hotel seems empty and perhaps that should have been a clue. Once in our room, the incredible view (NOT) of the apartment building across the street left the impression of a dodgy area despite being minutes from Grafton Street and nicer neighborhoods. There’s a bed and there’s a desk. The bed doubles as a couch (?). There’s no place to hang your clothes (except three hangers) and there’s a single drawer under the bed to place clothes, only it doesn’t pull out easily. All in all, supremely disappointed and not worth €1k for 3 nights. The air conditioning is really the best thing going.

I've stayed many times. Staff are helpful and attentive, hotel is nice and clean and well turned out. Beds are really comfy. Rooms are quiet. Location is great. Breakfast is excellent with lots of choice. I've deducted one star because on my most recent visit, I have noticed that things are getting slightly run down and are not being fixed. The speaker in the bathrooms was not working. The grout was redish as if someone used hair dye in the shower. The shower head was warped and sprayed slightly in the wrong direction. Nothing serious enough to go complaining to reception but it was noticeable to me as a frequent guest. That said, I do highly recommend this hotel.

Love this hotel! Amazing location and surprisingly cheap compared to others in town. The lobby is great and so is the bar. Very modern and clean hotel. Breakfast a bit pricey for what there is and rooms could be more spacious as it’s hard to fit 2 suitcases plus no storage for coats. Overall though, this is a great place to stay in Dublin and staff are very helpful and friendly.

We just stayed in the Marlin Hotel for the weekend in Dublin as part of a prize that we won. The hotel room was far superior to what we were expecting. It was a suite with a bedroom, living room with sofa bed, 2 tv’s, gorgeous bathroom, kettle, fridge , and wardrobes. It was the nicest room I’ve ever stayed in so far. The decor was beautiful throughout the hotel. It’s a self check in which is different. There is a 24hr very well equipped gym. Staff were very friendly and efficient. I have to say I was sad to be leaving today.

The facilities are new and clean and the staff is mostly helpful. The location is great. The room is ultra small. You will easily miss the bathroom. Good only for a business traveller's with a single carry on luggage and staying for a few nights. NOTE THE NO REFUND POLICY IF FOR ANY REASON YOU HAVE TO LEAVE EARLY!

A very modern hotel. Fantastic beds, very large and with great pillows. Modern TV and speaker system that also connects into the bathroom. One pillow case seemed a tad grubby but was promptly changed with no issues. One of the busiest hotel bars I've seen serving a multitude of good quality cocktails. Perfect ambiance and plenty of seating. Walking distance to all the temple bar pubs.

Wife and I had an excellent stay at the Marlin. The room was tiny but cozy, the bed was super comfortable, and the wifi was strong. But the best part was the location, close enough to walk to pretty much everything in town. And the cafe in the lobby was great!

Just back from two nights at the Marlin Hotel. The hotel is visually impressive from the outside and this continues inside including the bedrooms. Hotel was well kept and in particular our room and the lobby. The staff couldn't have been more helpful either. I had a small issue with my booking which Luke the manager was able to sort out quickly for me. We only dined for breakfast in the hotel and the quality was good compared to other offers we have tried in the area previously. All in all we will absolutely be back. A special mention to Luke and also to Lisa at the front desk too

Cannot recommend based on our experience. Good location and new facilities. When we arrived after a redeye, had to spend 30 minutes sorting out why Hotel Tonight had not sent our payment. The room was the tiniest we have ever stayed in. Housekeeping missed us and we had to ask 3 times for replacement towels. Otherwise had a great day in Dublin but will stay elsewhere next time.

Well placed but expensive compared to the service offered. Reception staff are approachable and helpful. The rooms, on the other hand, are small, dirty (hair in the shower, leftover food on the window sill as soon as we arrived and which was not cleaned during the three days of our stay), impractical (no adequate storage, bathroom light, shower where you put water everywhere) and with missing equipment (no remote control for the TV when we arrived, no fridges in the rooms). No doubt the experience is better for those who have the money to spend on the little extras, but this was not the case for us.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Dublin. A clean and modern building that fits business travel very well. Checking in and out if fully automated with 4 screens in the lobby. Clean rooms but on the small side. Price/quality excellent for its location. Nice bar and restaurant on location with friendly staff and in good Irish fashion, about 20 beers on tap. A nice touch was the motion detected small light in the bathroom. The speakers in the bathroom is ideal for those that can’t shower without their favorite tunes. All in all, a good choice. Would definitely come back!

My partner and I stayed at The Marlin hotel this past weekend and loved it. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and everything is very new and modern. The room was small but we felt very comfortable in it - it had the comfiest bed ever and we loved the modernness of the room and bathroom. All the staff we spoke to were lovely and really helpful, and even though it is a ‘self check-out’ style check in/out, we had staff helping us with it at both times. Breakfast was also lovely, lots of choice and really good quality food and drinks. We really enjoyed our stay at The Marlin hotel and would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

The hotel were brilliant as this trip was delayed due to vivid restrictions. They could not have acted any better sorting out and rebooking our stay. When we finally arrived the hotel, every staff member we met were excellent. Making our stay the best. It is modern, clean hotel and the breakfast selection was superb. There were 4 of us and we had 2 rooms for 4 nights. We were busy tourists during the day and the highlight was to return and relax at the bar. I urge anyone considering this hotel to book it. My words do not do justice to our experience. Many thanks to everyone there

10/10 hotel! Great staff available round the clock, really nice bar with good selection of drinks, free coffee (which is actually good coffee!) and a nice relaxing reception area. Rooms are great, working air conditioning, large bed, decent power shower. Would recommend to anyone staying in Dublin!

Don't stay at this Hotel, it's just sad. They don't even have a tea kettle!!!! The rooms are extremely small, the customer service was poor; we had to beg for a new set of towels and toiletries for two days in a row. The location is good, but for the same price you could find better places to stay in the same district, like for example Staunton's on the Green. Really, trust me, this places is a total scam.

The hotel is quite modern, clean and I was quite impressed with the clever, secure access to the building, lifts and rooms with an access card. The location of the hotel is great and the bed in the room was very comfy but that’s where it ends for me unfortunately. Bathrooms are poorly designed, you need to be a child to have a comfortable shower. No bathroom mat or shower door so the water from the shower runs on the floor. A coffee station/tray in the room would have been nice. The water in the water bottles tasted awful compared to the tap water. Overall, we don’t think it was worth the money.

Compact in all aspects but very practice hotel. I have to say I really enjoyed my stay in the Marlin. Staff were very friendly and attentive both at reception and the bar. The rooms while small, were great. Everything exactly where you want it from the buttons for the mechanically operator curtains to the plug socket locations for easy charging. The overall location of the hotel is excellent and parking is very easy across the road in the Stephen’s green shopping centre (€20 for 24hrs) looking forward to my next stay at this excellent hotel.

Beautiful, fresh, modern hotel perfectly located just around the corner from Grafton Street and St Stephen’s Green. The check in process was very easy using the machine, also was ideal that we got to check in a couple hours early. The only thing would be the lack of a few amenities in the room, no fridge which is fine given the space, only one hook in the bathroom for towels. Minor things that didn’t make us think any less of the hotel and room.

My sister and I ate at the Terrace restaurant last week at The Marlin Hotel. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. All of the staff were so welcoming, efficient and helpful. The food was beautifully presented , and delicious to boot ! We would absolutely recommend a visit to The Marlin Hotel.

Incredibly great service, very nice, helpful and very warming after our long trip from Australia. The room was great, comfortable, modern and warm especially in the winter season. They gave great recommendations for places to eat, things to do and organised a taxi to the airport for our early morning flight when we left. Lisa and Jason were super helpful and great to chat too. Great location too, being near Grafton street. Would definitely stay here again. 5 stars!

Fantastic stay! Right from the off, we were warmly welcomed. Staff are all very friendly and attentive. Cocktails in the bar were nice. Definitely get your moneys worth at this hotel. It's exactly what i was after. Rooms are spotless, modern, and compact but have everything you need. THE BEDS WERE AMAZING!! It's in a fantastic location. Close for walking into town but also extremely quiet so you can shut off away from the hussle and bussle.

Very comfortable hotel and good service. Welcoming atmosphere. Extensive breakfast choices and good quality. Rooms good sized, beds comfortable. Good lighting. Hotel also offers areas for visiting and working which add to the welcoming vibe. Very clean and good location. I would definitely stay again.

Great little hotel in the heart of Dublin. Luke greeted us at the door and we felt welcome right away. He was very helpful with all our needs. I even left my hat on the plane and Luke assisted me in getting it back. I did have to go by bus back to the airport but he was helpful in contacted the right place and assisting me in recovering it. The room was a bit on the small side but to be expected. The bed was comfy and the bathroom spacious and clean.

The rooms are a bit small, but they have everything you need. The king bed was very large and very comfortable for sleeping. The place is really well designed, with great trinkets and art all over the hotel. The lobby bar served a great martini (if you could find a server to help you). The location was perfect walking distance to everything we wanted and needed. Will definitely be back.

Great location within easy walking distance from most important Dublin sites. Nice breakfast and bar. Decent fitness facilities. My only complaint is the rooms are very narrow so that one partner has to crawl over the other to get in and out of bed.

Enjoyed our stay here and the hotel gets many things right. The rooms are quite basic and it would have been nice to at least have some coffee & tea in them. Also staff occasionally offer differing information which was strange. We were told one thing about when the bar was open and then instantly told something different by someone else.

My husband and I stayed over in the Marlin for one night. It was a lovely experience the decor is fab so funky and bright. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotless and we felt very safe. The food is very tasty. We will definitely be back. Well done to the team.

As a wheelchair user, needing an accessible room, I have never ever stayed in a hotel bedroom so well adapted. Everything within reach, safe, and thoughtfully designed. Smart, clean and comfortable. The decor is funky and the place has a great vibe.

Nice hotel.. Lovely staff.. Rooms were clean... If a bit small.. First night arriving we had booked into the hotel bar for dinner we ordered fish off the menu... When it arrived I was afraid to eat it as the water was running out of it & it was undercooked & tasteless... So next morning went for breakfast starving my son & husband got theirs I waited over half hour & mine did not come the breakfast my husband got was disgusting he could not eat it... Service at breakfast was very poor. Will not return to this hotel as I paid a lot of money to stay here n the food was disgusting

Lovely stay in the heart of Dublin city. Close to St. Stephen's Green and Grafton St. where a lot of outdoor dining and bars have sprung up. Clean, modern hotel with all the amenities. Amazing 4 course set dinner in the Canteen restaurant inside the hotel. Food was delicious and plates went back empty. Friendly staff throughout. Can recommend for a business trip or city break.

At the time of our 3 night stay in autumn 2019 we considered it a very good hotel for its price. It's just outside the buzzing bar streets and yet quiet during night. Very fresh and tasteful interiors with a nice entrance and classy bar with competent bartenders. Room was compact, clean and with a lively yet tasteful interior. However the view in our particular room over a yard and a run down building didn't bring much joy. The main entrance is right by a small but busy intersection which could be less convenient for elders and families with small children. The hotel was perfect for us, a couple in our late 20s and I recommended it for a short holiday or business stay for everybody in ages 18-60. We didnt try any of the restaurants.

Really clean and practically located hotel. Room was very small lots stuffed into it though bed was really comfortable. Would suit people traveling with one bag between them but we had a month in Ireland so had a lot of bags. Got cramped pretty quickly. Still the bed was nice and location was awesome and easy to get to places. Lots of options for food and entertainment in the area which avoided getting taxis etc. we used the tram once and is convenient to get to that station if your wanting to go across town. Would def recommend this place for up to a week long stay where your not wanting to be in the room a lot.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The bedroom was compact, but had everything we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable and it was spotlessly clean. The location cannot be beaten and the staff were upser friendly. Sure, it's not cheap - but it's Dublin! Would recommend.

First of you have to book yourself in with a computer in the lobby not good for older people but they would probably get help. The food was good. The bed room could only be described as a box room massive bed actually no place to walk around it the person on the inside of the bed would have to cross over the person on the outside to go to the toilet. Over all the staff where friendly, nice lobby to sit in, the food was good, but the bedroom was a discgace 😠

This is a very modern and comfortable Hotel. Very quiet place. Rooms are compact but have everything needed. Very helpful staff. It is close to Grafton street and the local attractions of the city center. We walked to Trinity. HaPenny bridge, Dublin Castle. Hotel is set back and sign was small and could be easy to miss.

Nice place, modern, fancy. Rooms are narrow, but the bed is huge. There should be speakers in the bathroom but they are not functioning, maybe I went there so soon. The breakfast is very good and generous. The staff is nice. The internet didn't connect with me, don't know why. The rooms don't have water boiler or coffee or tea.

We ate at canteen last night and it was sublime. Every dish was rammed with flavor, stunning food. The staff have the right balance of being friendly, funny and professional they could not have been any more accommodating. Well done canteen. Beautiful food, comfortable restaurant, great service. Can’t wait to go back again

The hotel is very average and very pricey. Very modern entrance / reception but odd as hotel reception staff work on open benches beside customers. Breakfast is average, plates were cold on our second day meaning a cold breakfast, food was OK but you would get a much better at any other cafe and would be cheaper also. Large queues for small & basic tea / coffee facilities, make your own and wait while others cant find stuff . We stayed in a suite it was nice but even that didn’t have a bath. Views from windows are poor, we had a run down estate, with Garda visiting as of first look out, lovely. We requested extra pillows twice - they never came but they were coming right away both times. For the price this is a hotel to avoid, if the price was lower, it would be fine but it isn’t.

Nice place, food finishes a little early for guests. Staff are uber helpful and polite and professional. Rooms amazing and spotless. Downstairs lavatories not so much. I actually went into the ladies because the gents were so filthy. I blame the gents. All staff informative and helpful. Just the downstairs toilets...

Lovely modern hotel with very laid back feel. Rooms ideal for a few nights stay but no wardrobe to hang clothes, just a few hangers on one wall. No iron in the room but a separate room set up instead. The breakfast buffet was totally fine with a decent selection. I'd happily take another break at the Marlin.

  • 5/5 Anthony H. 2 years ago on Google
I stayed here and is set in great location for shopping and sightseeing. The breakfast served up is delicious, I had traditional but you can also have continental. The bar and restaurant are really good as well. The rooms are really good. The staff were really helpful and friendly.

Sorry for €7 for s pint. No menu on table had to scan it for meals. The women had to keep asking for the phone to be handed around instead of leaving one on a table. A chocolate brownie €9. I am raging I did not notice the price I thought be no more than €6. I asked staff 4 time no peas on my delicious fish and chips they still went ahead and gave me mushy peas. And my meal had to be taken away for peas to be removed. And this whole thing about booking a 90 minute slot is just stupid when having a meal you should not have to rush out. I go back again as staff lovely and decor is beautiful and I know they done a good bit for charity. But things got to change.

Very central location, but the one Street off St Stephens green could be dangerous at night. Wouldn't walk there unaccompanied. The check in was quick, efficient and friendly. The foyer is spacious and decor is lovely. The room was very compact but it was functional and clean. The L'Occitane products in the bathroom were a nice luxurious touch. Would have appreciated tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but it's not a big deal. Staff were so helpful always. Overall an extremely pleasant stay. Well done Marlin Dublin.

What's good about this hotel: * Location: very central, so you can walk everywhere (shops, shopping centres, pubs, park,....) * Central but located in a quiet street, so no outside noises * Check-in process is very smooth: receptionists are very helpful and attentive * Hotel employees are generally very helpful and attentive: the lady (with the white hair) at the restaurant serving the breakfast on Nov 13th -15th was so friendly and attentive to every guest, even in busy moments. She made sure that every demand was met, and was always ready for a short friendly talk. It was so lovely to start our days with such a good service! Thank you! My husband and I also found another employee at the restaurant to be exceptionally friendly: David. We especially appreciate his no-nonsense approach at problem handling: when we informed him that my vegetarian dish accidentally contained a piece of bacon, he immediately offered another dish, without having to pay for my first and replacement dishes! No discussion whatsoever, straightforwardly apologizing and offering a solution. We really appreciate this straightforward problem handling approach! Making a mistake is human; what's important is how one handle the mistake. Thank you, David! * Very comfortable (huge) bed and clean room What can be improved about this hotel: * The position of the bed is awkward: you either have to step-over your partner to get out of the bed, or both of you don't have access to the small night desk with chargers for your phones. * The room is very very tiny, and not so functionally designed: the bed is too huge and awkwardly positioned, the bathroom does not have enough hanger for towels, no night desks for 2 people, hardly room enough for luggage, no fridge, no water cooker,.... Basically you get a bed with a room, more than a room with a bed! :-) It's OK to stay here alone, or if with a partner only for a short time, but no way can one stay here with 2 people for more than a weekend!

Hidden gem in Dublin. Chefs excelling in cookery…wonderful food pairings. Two steps above the average Dublin restaurant. Varied and unusual wine menu. Top notch food without the stuffiness. And you get a proper feed: silky mash potatoes You won’t be disappointed. A great choice to celebrate a birthday or special occasion

Love it! Super hip stylish, places to hang and read their books, great location, you can walk anywhere, very friendly help. The room was very modern clean and convenient and a great shower. It was pretty compact, but I was traveling alone, so it was perfect. Also, very reasonable rates.
