I’ve stayed in different hostels across the world, from the jungles of Africa, the mountains of Asia, the Alps; the Far East of Europe, Caribbean, both North & South America and all these hostel had two things in common, vibrancy and affordability. Sadly here there seems to be lack of vibrancy, there are long term residents who are bully and so rude. I don’t know if it’s because most of the time I’ll only be a person of color. I have been subjected to the most inhuman treatment so far but I’m so damn loyal to the place. The reception is on point, polite and patient folks who will assist you with anything from your booking, cancellation, extension and recommendations for place to have the best and cheapest meal. Now in terms of the rooms, know that this isn’t a 5 star hotel, the price says it all. So they are just like any other hostel, nothing fancy, only that with this one, their mattresses are too hard and solid; they aren’t comfy at all, some rooms are way too small and you hav to share two shower rooms with close to 24 people who live in two rooms adjusted to each other. This is disgusting to say the least, only in a prison can 24 people share two shower rooms. This violate all health and safety regulations Further, their breakfast is so limited and so basic, every time after eating it, I feel sick, to be honest, it’s unhygienic. The plates, cups and spoons are washed by individuals, the management or staff never clean them once in a week at the very least, so make sure you clean an item before and after using it unless you are ready to fall sick Overall rating I’ll give this place 3 star. The location is good as you aren’t far from pubs and all that.

Great staff, easy to find, and convenient parking. First time staying in a hostel. Pretty much what I expected. Slept in a 6 person room with my 18 year old daughter. Felt safe. Guy in our room kept getting up in the middle of the night to smoke in the bathroom which was annoying. Mildew in the corner bathroom ceiling. Not much to offer for breakfast beyond cereal and toast. Despite the negatives I would stay here again.

Nice place in the center of Dublin. Room was good but the "quiet room" reeked. The Breakfast is very basic but the staff seems nice. Of course your stay there will be mainly affected by the roommates you get, like in every other Hostel. I really dont think that there is any better solution, considering price and value in this part of Town! The Temple Bar district is in a 5 Minute walk range and all public Transport options are also nearby.

The Four Courts Hostel is one of the best hostels I've been to, and by this point I have been to quite a few. It's VERY safe, you have to have a different colored slip every day just to get in and the luggage room is impossible to get to if you're not a guest already. The location is super close to pretty much everything, it's like a ten minute walk to a lot of really neat places and you're right on the river. They have a lot of quality tours they can hook you up with, they do laundry there, the staff are super helpful, the free breakfasts never run out (which happens way too often at other hostels) and the kitchen has a lot of space to do your thing in! My complaints are as follows - they allow semi-permanent residents. I thought this was cool at first, but then I realized how much room they take up after they get comfortable. They'll take up one of the four sinks dedicated to twelve people and leave their stuff at the sink at all times, leaving three sinks for eleven people. They accumulate food to the point that they dominate the fridge space and they take up a ton of space on the shelves. It's not too hard to work around the semi-permanent guests, but it's an inconvenience you won't experience pretty much anywhere else. Overall - great place, good breakfast, good location, clean, safe, and comfortable to boot!

Despite of the hostel is situated in one of the main streets, the surrounding people are weird. The hostel provides you luggage store, there isn't lockers inside the room. I sleep in a room of 4, there is own bathroom. Everything looks so clean, they control who goes into the hostel, buffet breakfast is included (basic things). People who works there so kind. I'll probably repeat

It was.. well it was acceptable but I was there with a schoolclass from Germany so I suppose it's no wonder it wasn't the most relaxing Hostel.

Pretty okay Hostel. The staff was friendly, as were the other guests. The rooms and bathrooms were also clean. Though the public bathrooms were often very disgusting to enter. I wish they would clean them more than once a day. Breakfast wasn't really my cup of tea either. However many others seemed to like it. The kitchen is very good, great for cooking

I really felt like this was a nice place for a hostel. The rooms were decently sized and clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They had computers you could use with internet to plan your trip. The only thing they could improve on I thought were the bathrooms. They were clean, but the shower drains clogged so there was standing water, the faucets stuck down so the water would run, and the toilet often wouldn't flush. Besides those things, which are easy to get around or get over, it was a great place to stay for a hostel.

Has everything you need and people working are ready to help you with anything you ask; however it is a very busy hostel and the fridge is quite nasty, also the location is perfect as far as walking distance. But you might see someone shooting up or smoking ceack, right next to it because of the Franciscan assistance centre next door. However you will not feel the need to worry about security as they are on top of it 100 percent.

I have been there for 4 days. The hostel was very nice and the rooms was clean. We were in a room with 6 people and all of them were kind. Also the receptionists were supportive and they suggest us some really good pubs and sightseeings. To conclude it was near to supermarkets, museums and region of temple bar.

The staff is very friendly and humorous. The decor is nice (especially last year for Halloween). The rooms are clean and have sufficient size. Unfortunately, a window was broken, right by my bed, so it got very cold at night. However, The Four Courts Hostel is perfect for a city trip and we had a pleasant stay.

We take a team of college students to Dublin every May and have chosen to stay at Four Courts for the past 10 years. They are easy to work with when making reservations and very accommodating. The location is so convenient to everything in the city. The staff at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. The rooms have been spotless. The fridges are normally packed with guests food but labels provided by the front desk help in sorting out the stuff and the kitchen is kept clean. The new addition of small lights and plugs for mobile devices right on each bunk is great. For those that are "directionally Challenge" it is always to get back to Hostel due to it's location right on the Liffey River.

Unlike other hostels I’ve had in the country, but definitely the biggest. As a result it has the widest variety of people there - some people watching netflix on the computer the whole time, other groups of students, everything in between. The staff was very nice, the facilities were 4 stars, but overall good but not great.
