I was here for 7 days. The location is good 17 minutes walk from the Temple Bar. The area there is safety. The room was and the bed was comfy, but the bathroom was too small. The laundry was okay, but only one machine have worked, so I needed to wait more than 2 hours. Everybody was kind. Thank you I can recommend this hostel.

Stayed in the dorms. Loved this hostel, very chill and relaxed. Location is perfect, as we were able to walk to all major Dublin attractions. Loved walking the streets of liberties area. Facilities are clean and well equipped, nice view of the city. Lockers provided, towels available for 2 euros. No breakfast but coffee & tea available for free. This hostel is for folks who are looking for a quiet & mature hostel. I would stay here again.

The hostel is very close to the center like 15 minutes by walk from Temple Bar and a Tesco Express, 5 minutes away. The staff is lovely, very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is free. I booked the first night on Airbnb and the other 2 directly there and I got 10% of discount. There are not lockers which at the beginning made me a bit perplexed but I felt very secure there all the 3 nights I was there. The toilet of my floor was out of order but every floor has two toilets. The atmosphere is absolutely cozy, the common area allows to know people or work. There is a huge terrace which on summer should be awesome. A lot of people were there for long stay and some of the people I share the room with, have a lot of suitcases, which might be a bit unconformable because the space is limited. Anyway it was clean and price very honest. Totally recommend!

Me and my friend had a very bad experience at our first night at this hostel. When we arrived back after dinner, one of our beds was taken by somebody else. It turned out 5 people were booked in a rolm with 4 beds. Reception was closed and when we called the phone number, nobody picked up for over an hour. In the end the night porter had to come and after several calls it turned out one girl was wrongfully given a room key. They had no beds left, so she had no place to sleep, ehile she did pay for the night. By now we were dealing with this for several hours. The problem was not solved by the hostel. For the rest the place was pretty run down, especially the kitchen. I would never return.

Stay here and you will get Covid. The majority of residents are English language school students, migrant workers, and apartment seekers who pack into common-areas and play music late into the night, insist on keeping all windows closed, and who are jammed into fully booked rooms. While there the running joke was “If you haven’t got Covid yet, you will.” Because everyone was self-described as either having had it, with it, or those who will get it. Furthermore, while I was there, the hostel was housing ‘isolated’ travelers who were currently infected — poorly. After seeing the conditions I requested to leave with a refund which was flat out denied. In addition, toilets were blocked and bathrooms closed. Out of order signs were taped to the doors for days.

Positive Aspect: The place was overall not bad if you are looking for a place to have fun and interact with people. The staff was friendly and helpful. The other tenants that were there were also very friendly and nice to chat with. Technically, they were not tourists. They were staying there long-term or intermittently while they try to find a more permanent place to stay. So I admire the hostel for accommodating those long-term residents since there is a shortage of accommodation. The facilities was okay as well. I liked that the beds had a curtain so you have privacy. The shared bathroom was okay as well. The common room was small but organized and have good furniture. Negative Aspect: Rating it as a "tourist" (even though I am living in Galway), the price does not match the location and overall safety/cleanliness. It is located within a small alleyway and I initially hard to find the location itself. I even asked around the buildings, they have never heard of it. So I thought I was being scammed! Your google map is your best friend here. Looking for a place to eat around was also difficult since everything was about 15-20 mins away by walk. Which, I don't mind walking, just that you have to navigate around the alleyways to find your way out so I always have to make sure my phone battery is okay or else I will get lost. For safety, since there are fewer tourists there and more long-term residents, they are not as COVID-19 concern considering the residents know each other for a while now. I was not asked to show my vaccine cert which I don't know if it was intentional or they just forgot. There was also no hand sanitizer station available anywhere except for the reception area, which is only open at certain times (again not sure if this is because the hostel acts as an accommodation for long-term residence). If you are concerned about COVID-19 safety, this might be not a place for you. For cleanliness specifically, found a huge patch of molds in my room that stretch from wall to wall (see image). The cleaning of the shared bathroom is definitely not done 3 times a day as indicated in their checking sheet hang on the bathroom door. Notes (for FYI): 1. The breakfast was only bread/jam/butter, cereal and fruits. Since I don't like sweets as much, that was a total fail for me. Wish I choose the no breakfast option to lower the price I had to pay. 2. When booking day tours outside of Dublin, do it yourself. They will recommend a partner they have - Paddywagon Tour. There was a failure in their website and for some reason showed a tour time slot that they don't even do. So I wasted my entire day since the tour never happened. I tried contacting the tour company myself multiple times. Didn't get any answer. The hostel helped in contacting the tour company but they are apparently unable to reimburse you. I know I could have fight for it but I was just tired of my tour in Dublin at that point (and that was day 2 of my stay). They credit it for another tour next year which I have to take their word for it that they will really honour their word. Anyway, I hope the hostel do their due diligence when recommending that website again. But just do your own research instead. 3. I forgot to take an image of the common room and bathroom. I only have images of the room I have.

Very average hostel experience - don't trust the photos on the website. The good: Very accomodating self check-in time, which is great for late arrivals. Reception staff were polite and courteous, and allowed us to leave our luggage after we had checked out. Located in a quiet residential area, but still very quick to walk into the centre. Beds and room were clean. Good size lounge on the top floor with a TV. The bad: Hardly any heating in the room, which turned off at night and didn't turn on in the morning - on the coldest week of the winter so far this was disappointing. Uncomfortable beds, especially the thin and worn out pillow. The entire place is dated and needs a refurb, lots of little bits breaking such as the light on the bunk bed I stayed in. Dirty kitchen with nowhere to leave dishes to dry. Cramped bathroom which gets pretty dirty by the time everyone has used it - the towels weren't changed during the three nights we stayed here either! Non-existent breakfast, even at 8:30am, so it's not as if we went there too late. Summary: Spend your money elsewhere unless you have no choice, this place reminded us of our disappointingly overpriced halls at university.

The receptionist was very welcoming and nice. The rooms were small but clean with cozy beds. The hostel is near the city center, however, the area is one of the shadiest in Dublin as there are junkies everywhere, so it is quite dangerous. There are only two bathrooms for the whole floor and they are quite dirty. Breakfast is almost non existent (allthough included in the price) it looks like you get leftovers and the kitchen and dishes are dirty. Thats why I have to give it a 2.

I booked a bed in a 4-bed bedroom. I chose this hostel because it was close to the venue where I went for a concert (3olympia). The staff was very friendly and the room as well as the bathroom were clean and comfortable. Didn't visit the rest of the establishment. Great value

Well located at The Liberties (around Christ Church, Dublinia, Arthur’s, St Patrick Cathedral and 15min walking from Temple Bar). Cosy, nice staff, nice guests. Comfortable rooms and always clean.

NIGHT ON THE SOFA! My flight was delayed and I tried to notify the property that I would arrive after the reception closing time. The phone number provided was wrong, the one on their site was a callcenter and nobody answered, no emails from them. I arrived at midnight and ... SURPRISE: I was locked out! Luckily I met a girl who was a guest of the same hostel and she let me in. I continue to call without any response. At the end I slept on the living room sofa without any blanket. The next day they admitted the phone number was wrong, apologized and finally gave me the room I paid for. They provided proof that they sent the instruction email, but I never received it (even in the spam folder that I checked that night to be sure). The same day, the same thing happened to a guy who didn't receive the email. Final surprise: they did not want to refund the night I paid for for which I did not receive the service purchased, even risking to have to sleep out or spend other money for a new accommodation. Luckily hotels.com provided me with a small discount voucher. Thank you Hostel.com

Good location. Clean beds and sheets.Towels can be rented for 2 euros. Internet available. Each bed has a mini light and socket. The lower bunk bed can only be used to sleep, not enough space to sit on the bed at all, hence very uncomfortable. Only 3 bathrooms per floor ( male, female and accesibikity) for around 20 ppl, needless to say these were mostly occupied and very dirty by the time it was my turn to use. Also the kitchen had a similar issue with unclean counters, no drying rack for washed dishes and dirty cloth towels to wipe the already clean washed dishes. 😭🤢 Breakfast is complementary which means a cabinet full of cereals, some spreads, bread, bowl of apples, coffee/tea jars and a hot water dispenser and milk in the fridge. The bread we got already had mold on it so 🤷‍♀️. The kitchen has an amazing view being on the top floor and a nice lounge on the same floor.

It’s fairly one of the best bag packers. Only that the rooms can be stuffy. Limited bathrooms on the whole floor. There is no breakfast as they claim, except that there is always free bread, butter, juice, milk and cereals. There is also a living room, couches and a very nice view. Customer service is excellent

Friendly staff, but not enough bathrooms on the floors and mostly not clean. The room was okay. But I actually care a lot about the bathroom. The smell in the staircase (every floor) was horrible.

This should be called The Civil Hostel. There are party hostels all over Dublin, where guests return to their rooms late at night drunk and start turning on lights and messing with their bags. Thankfully, this is not at all that kind of place. Garden Lane is quiet, clean, the staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful, and there is free food in copious amounts all throughout the day. There is hand soap at all the sinks, paper towels in the kitchen, they take care to replace the sponge often, and there are washing machines and dryers. The location, while not in the heart of the action, is just a short walk from it. It is also conveniently a short walk from the airport bus.

I like this hostel because everything is very clean and fresh as it is open just a few months. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. It has a very nice lounge area with TV and selection of DVDs and books and is quite central in the city and you don't have to walk far to get a bus.

It is in a nice less touristy neighborhood,. The location is clean, and the hosts friendly. It feels a little like IKEA inside out now if a dorm than like you're staying in someone's home (I'm contrast to other hostels over stayed at), but that's okay. There are plenty of showers, a warm bed, free breakfast, and good company. I met some great people from all over the world.

Bang for the buck is the best way to describe this one. You get totally acceptable accommodation for next to nothing which is in walking distance of all that Dublin has to offer. The staff are professional and helpful, went out of their way to book me a taxi at 4 AM. My ONLY complaint is that the shower I took was lukewarm at best.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. Mostly everything was decent and as expected for a hostel experience. My biggest complaint is there was only one toilet per floor and it had the shower in it. With 6 beds per room and 5 or 6 rooms per floor, there was almost always a wait to use the bathroom, especially in the mornings and evenings.

This hostel is quite central, just a 10 minutes walk from Guinness Storehouse and Temple Bar. Very nice and clean hostel, rooms are big and not overcrowded (I think the biggest is 6 beds, I stayed in a 4 bed and 1 of then was empty), my bed was super comfy. They offer free breakfast and have private secured parking for a small fee. The receptionist are very helpful, they gave loads of good recommendations. I would stay here again with no doubts!

I booked this hostel because it had good reviews and I was honestly disappointed. The bathrooms needed cleaned and stocked better. It's fairly far from everywhere I wanted to go. Even with taking the bus it took me 30+ minutes to get to many of the local attractions. They didn't do much to make the hostel stay fun. There aren't really any good food places around and the area can be shady especially at night. There's major construction right next door and from what I saw it goes on at least 6 days a week so you will not get to sleep in past 7 am even with ear plugs in. Someone on the street was also knocking/slamming on a gate or something about every 20 minutes. They were pretty expensive for a hostel and I did not find any pros to staying here. Rather, I found many negatives that made me cancel a booking that I had with them for later in the week.

I will start saying that i do not recommend this place, let me explain why. 1. Wrote an email requesting the bottom bed, they confirmed was ok, the day i got there of course they did not have the bed from the bottom, they gave this to an other person. 2. Rooms XS: Its is to small. Room next to the bathroom. The fan never went off and you get to listen ALL 3. they do not have anything to save your belongings, they tell you to let the baggs in the reception when everybody can see it 4. there is not 1 bathroom for the room of 4, there are 2 bathrooms (1 for disabled) for the entire floor N 1. 5. the window of the room was broken … so the room smells really bad. only one window working, i spoke with the person that was there and the window was not arrange 6. expensive! 2 nights 130€ For a room without bathroom and 3 more people 7. breakfast: ……. Location: close to downtown If you can go to an other place do not Go here

It's a great hostel. They have kitchen and the room I stayed was small but warm and well organized. The custumer service was good and check-in and check-out was smooth.

The stuff was super friendly. I was arriving late and they did a self-checkin for me. The rooms were clean and quiet. Liked the location (the Dublin Bike is nearby) the area is quiet and no seagulls singing 😅 The linen was clean and the shower room was also great (warm and clean). It was a nice stay and I would definitely recommend it to all. Big thanks from your Ukrainian visitor 🇺🇦

Amazing hostel! A bit out of the center but has a vegan breakfast option (say that your vegan and you can get a oatdrink/-milk)! Very clean and the stuff is lovely.

Great experience with great people, the garden lane has the best reception that I had in my hostel's life. the beds are super comfortable and clean, the room has space for work and doesn't have many beds, the bathroom is good and the rooftop is nice. The localization is a little bit far from the things but Dublin is SUPER small, everything is near, the main avenue is 10 min from the hostel.
