I had head and neck cancer which was unfortunately high grade. After very severe surgery I was told that I needed radiation but I was afraid of anymore pain and so turned it down. I was advised to seek a second opinion with Dr. Sinead Brennan in St Lukes and I did. She immediately put me at ease and I felt reassured that while radiation was tough, she would help me through it. There was such a feeling of calmness and serenity in the hospital and my six weeks flew. It wasn't easy but it was nowhere near as bad as I feared it would be and Sinead is always on hand to help you and the team behind her is phenomenal. I have very good memories of my stay there. Dr Brennan is a very caring and knowledgeable person who clearly wants the best for every single one of her patients. You couldn't be in safer hands.

I worked here before as a doctor. Worse HSE facility I've worked in. The staff from nurses across to senior doctors were horrible people to work with. Ended up leaving voluntarily because it was so miserable. Then had to report my boss to the the medical council because nobody took my complaints serious in there!

I spent 6 weeks in the care of Dr Brennan and her staff in 2016, there are no words to describe them. I owe my life to their care, treatments and most of all kindness. I have an appointment tomorrow and all going well it will be my last one. I'm delighted to be so well thanks to all in St Lukes.

St Luke's hospital is my 1st place I visited in Ireland in 1995. I spent 5 great years working in this great hospital. I completed my training over there from 1996 to 2001. It's breaking my heart to know about the plans of closing st Luke's. How come this elite hospital closed. In this hospital hundred thousand of very ill people get well and enjoy life again. St Luke's is icon of mercy and compassion.

Beautiful hospital grounds, well tended Gardens & water feature garden with private wooded area to stroll. Watching wildlife, squirrels, foxes etc on grounds lifts the spirits. Staff are amazing, food is best I've eaten in hospital environment & restaurant is the cheapest I've eaten in, albeit is same food as served on wards, but tasty none the less. Would benefit from some modernisation to building internally, gives nursing home vibes.

I want to compliment the lovely lady at reception yesterday. She was so kind and put her hands on mine reassuring me that all would be well. Then I met Dr Salib who is such a kind gentleman. My Mum died in St Luke’s from breast cancer so I was dreading going back there, but the lovely people made the visit easy.

An absolute disaster of a place, appointments always running over an hour late, you try & find out what is going on but genuinely, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. An absolute shambles of a place with zero organisation.

Grounds are beautiful kitchen, carers and cleaning staff are so very good to patients more so than certain nurses.. during a 6 week stay for radiation treatment I would spend 4 of those weeks outside my ward on the grounds to avoid day nurse managers and silly disagreements. Maggie, Nolleen, Susan and Linumol clashing with patients isn't exactly the focus when we are there to mend not play games with nurses. The minister for health will be contacted along with the HSE procedural route also. As promised to these staff members it won't happen again. Lastly never remove a elderly patients emergency alarm simply because you don't want to answer it. To the night managers I can't thank them enough for their patience, treating me with dignity and a friendly chat if ever needed.

Hello, My name is Cris and I would like to report the abusive treatment the company Bidvest Noonan (ROI) Limited allowed to happen to the (mainly) Brazilian students working for them at St Luke’s hospital, Dublin 6. I would like today to denounce through this report what has been happening to the Brazilian students cleaners who, as myself who work there for 20 days at St Luke’s Hospital, suffered abuse and humiliation by their managers and supervisor from Bidvest Nooman Ltd . I want to highlight the fact that these abuses happen all the time and the victims are all these young Brazilian students mostly. I hope today that my action can reach out to the community and certainly to welfare system which support workers in Ireland . Most of these young students do not know how to defend themselves as they come to Ireland and Dublin to learn English. Unable to defend themselves because of their lack of English, these managers & supervisors take advantage of them. How can this be allowed in a place design to care for people is beyond my understanding! During my short time working there, I experienced such treatment from two female supervisors mainly, Veronica & Urata, who on a daily routine, will inflect me with such abuses. I gave my resignation this morning and now I would like my action to be taken seriously and stop completely such bullying towards these young foreign students who are left scared and feeling so worthless by such treatment on the work place. It should never have happened. Please help me to change this deplorable situation. Kindest regards, C.M.S
