Always a fun night out - whether with the Prohibition Party thrown by the Swing cats, Rocky Horror at Valentine's or any of a number of fantastic events. Get your tickets and get in early if you want a table - because it is gonna be packed!

Here for a concert and what an experience it was! Not the usual joint for the kind of band but it was worth it. Intimate and comfortable and great fun. Lovely staff and amazing setup.

Nice place to go for awesome gigs they have, all year long.... It's not a huge club, but they always have some fresh musicians and bands performing, a smoking terrace and a good selection of drinks! Very cozy place, and one of my favourite clubs in Dublin!

I only went to the Sugar Club for movie nights, but I love it every time. They always pick the right movies (e.g. Top Gun, Die Hard...). The sound and image are ok but not great, however I don't think you should go there for this. A movie at the Sugar Club is a whole experience. People will comment, talk, whistle, say the quotes from the movie, etc... There is enthusiasm and passion in the room and it's all about sharing that experience with others. :) You will be seating on couches with table in front. So you can easily order drinks and pizzas at the bar before or during the movie if you want.

We went there for the candlelight concert. The venue was small but very cozy with the couches and tables. There's a small bar in the back. Reasonable drink prices and nice staffs.

SO. MUCH. FUN! We went to Rocky Horror Picture Show. My partner got hit in the eye with rice and now has a big red swollen eye. Despite that, we had the best night out that we have had in years! The show and actors were just outstanding! I already want to buy tickets for next year!!

First time there but very impressed with The Sugar Club. Compact but you seemed to have enough room. Seats for people who like sitting at gigs(?), but plenty of room for dancing which should be mandatory for every venue. Memories of being told to sit down at Roxy Music in Glasgow surface. Shudder. We saw the wonderful Playback do their version of Stop Making Sense and absolutely brilliant they were. Bar staff were friendly and a shout out to Amanda at the ticket box who was especially nice.

Epic place: intimate, cozy, great acoustic, perfect size, the stage is on the bottom and the seats rise up making it great for everyone’s view! And the group we went to watch to were ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT Miguel Siso and band 😍😍😍🇮🇪🇻🇪

Love the sugar club, great venue, especially with the tiered seats. Beer selection could be better.

Not commenting on the show but the venue. Event was oversold. More patrons than seats. 27 people standing or sitting on the staircase and rear walkway, with glasses on the stairs. Seats from the smoking are brought in by staff to seat some people blocking the rear walkway. The crowd at the bar area were so noisy that the performer had to ask them to be quite on several occasions. The sound was not good but the sound tech may belong to the band not the venue. It's a small venue but could be a lovely setting if the fire safety regulations were adhered to. I was standing for about an hour before one of the staff brought in a bar stool and seated me half blocking the fire door.

Small and cozy place with backyard area, perfectly suited for summer events. We went to Afro Irish fashion and it was very warm and pleasant atmosphere there. Staff and bartenders were very attentive and hosting the event.

My first visit to Dublin. My husband and I was coming to see a band there in 2020 but because of covid it was cancelled.Yes we finally got to go last night .We went to say an excellent band called BABY BUSHKA.The venue was amazing ,not massive but enough for what you want .It is a sitting venue which slopes up from the stage ,very clean .At the back of the venue is a nice big bar and very friendly ,so good my husband I returning tonight to see the same band. This place is a must

I haven't been here for many many years. I was delighted to return to see a comedy show at the venue. The staff and security were very pleasant. Pints were good. The experience was top notch and there was such a great vibe. I liked their outdoor area just beside the bar. Nice place to chill with friends. Great for a night out with friends. I highly recommend checking TSC out if you can. You won't be disappointed.

1st time in venue and saw Spiderman movie. €12.50 entry snd as much popcorn as you can eat. Added bonus of bar being open and puzzas available to order. Seating is tiered and advisable to be there when doors open to get prime spot

Had an absolute blast, lost my glasses in all the excitement. The staff were a delight and the atmosphere was incredible. Haus of Wig's Hausparties are the place to be.

I’ve been to 3 live shows here and I must say I love it! Really I wish it was bigger to accommodate more people sitting down but that’s a side thought! The bar staff are friendly too and that’s always a plus 😊

The club's charm lies in its ability to bring out the best in musicians, showcasing a diverse range of talent. It is a lovely space for enjoying live music. If you want to sit, get in early - but staying at the back, near the bar, is the perfect spot. If the gif requires (or allows for) dancing: maybe not the best space as the rows are tight. Prices are reasonable, and you can grab a pizza there.

Quaint little venue. Friendly staff and excellent service 👍

Dublin's beloved Sugar Club venue, alongside Choice Cuts run ting tings, has for *over twenty years* been hosting consistently outstanding Soul/Funk/Jazz/Afro/HipHop/Latin live shows - targeted at the discerning listener (that's you). A beautiful and unique space - eclectic tunes guaranteed - massive sound system - cocktails & pizzas - sweet outdoor lounge. Visitors to Dublin should come along - this is Dublin nightlife as it ought to be, and indeed once was.

A welcoming Club with a huge diversity of music offerings. Tiered seating, with tables, as it was once a cinema space. A modest size dance floor and stage with background visuals potential add to the atmosphere. Excellent friendly staff. Security are effective. Great outdoor area has improved recently and offers a second sound stage, as well as a large smoking area. Lacks some modern aspects, like A/C but is a fun visit worth your time. A spot even Dubliners may not know or appreciate.

Great experience chilling out with a few drinks while watching a movie and in a cool venue that looks like it was taken from the 60's. Something everyone should try at least once

  • 3/5 Linda O'Rourke (. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent location for a show but not very accessibly. Difficult stairs for mobility, no handrails and poorly lit even when lights are up. Bar can be slow & be wary if you go to a show without guaranteed/allocated seating. Pizza is available - no Vegan or Gluten free. Quirky location though and named after the old office above 'siúcra'

Was at an afternoon gig. It was sold so all the seats were gone. We stood at the back, had a good view and enjoyed the concert. Bar staff are good and BTW they have several zero percent drinks including Guinness 0.0 if you are not drinking.

Great place. Had one of the most wonderful times alone with my friend that I hadn't seen for a wile. You can enjoy great music, some people danced at the front of the stage. On the day I went it was a bit crowded so it was very hard to get beers and snacks, that's something I don't appreciate very much, but didn't ruin my night, I have been to much worse places! Amazing experience. Different place and all kids of people friendly...

Great Venue, cosy seating and up close with performers.

The show tonight was so bad that it pains me to give it 1 Star.....It was hard to believe The Sugar Club would allow so many talentless people on their stage. The flabby, sleazy man in under pants wearing streamers outdid all others for complete lack of any purpose whatsoever. These people have no clue what Burlesque is..... Avoid at all costs.

Watched Jerron Blind boy Paxton perform yesterday at the Sugar club! Excellent show! Would definitely go back to see him perform if he came back to Dublin. The music was of course beautiful, but the staff were lovely too and looked after us throughout! Thank you sugar club for making yesterday evening so wholesome and special. ❤️

Went for a freakshow/cabaret night. Show was beautiful, seats are comfortable, only one star minus - drink options in the bar. Other than Jack Daniels there's no other whiskeys available, not even Jameson.
