I was on 27th of December around 4pm, a bank Holiday, practically all the shops,Caffè shops were closed but it looked like a nice place to come when they are all open... I went to an EPIC immigration museum which is based in there...had a good time...

Fantastic place to visit. Fascinating museum. Very family friendly with everything you might need under one roof. Spotlessly clean, lots of space and great procedures.

Free wifi and access to Starbucks and other cafés, Dogpatch Labs, event spaces and of course the EPIC museum. You don’t need to buy a ticket to the museum to avail of the free seating inside or browse the museum gift shop. Good spot to get some work done if you’re in the area.

Great musuem, lots of modern delivery of information, first section is old Ireland, lots of reading then it becomes more visual and interactive displays. You get a map to stamp as you go through each area THIS MAP GETS YOU BACK IN FREE OF CHARGE AT ANY TIME, great value. There is also a small food court which serves the public or those visiting the museum We enjoyed a delicious lunch. Outside is the Jeanie Johnston replica ship. Lovely area for walking by the river with other sculptures on the quay side

This is a 'must see' on a visit to Dublin. It's main purpose is to reflect the emigration of Irish people across the globe. This may sound a bit dry at first glance, but believe me it is anything but. The topic is dealt with in interesting and spectacular ways, the use of multi media is a thing of beauty and the way various subjects are presented makes it fresh and alive. You can lose yourself and a whole afternoon in this magnificent building, don't miss it!

Quite convenient for turists. There are several stores inside, from coffee shop to tourism agencies. Aside from that, the place is very clean, with plenty of tables to sit down and catch up your breath. Free access to restrooms as well, which are very well taken care of.

Inside there are a few coffee shops with a huge variety for breakfast and lunch, the tech lab Dogpatch also is one of the Aces of this place. But not forgetting the main atraction of it, The Epic Museum where anyone can enjoy and visualy search their irish heritage. Definetly it is a must to see in a future trip.

Historic building with plenty to see and do. Great location and easy to get to. Epic is a great attraction and the food from The Bakehouse is delicious. Public toilets onsite.

Regardless of whether you actually visit the museum or not, this is the ideal place to take a break sightseeing up near the customs House. Smashing facilities in there. That being said if you want to understand the effect Irish emigration had on the world. This is the place for you. Really informative, interactive and interesting

We had a wonderful time in the museum recently, including a trip to see Santa. There was plenty to entertain the kids and a good selection of places to eat indoors.

This isn't at all clear from the outside, but there's actually a nice food court inside. One of Dublin's (very) few indoor spaces where you can meet people without it involving alcohol 😅

I like going to the CHQ, on weekends or on off peak hours during the week it's not busy which gives plenty of seating to enjoy nice coffee or lunch. Usually a small art exhibition sometimes at one end, the emigration museum which is great tour. Likely not suitable for everyone but I like that kind of atmosphere.

Brilliant. Wonderfully done. So much history. Would definitely recommend EPIC Irish Migration History to everyone no matter age. Takes a good 2 hours to get round so be prepared

Great place to escape from the weather. Interesting museum about Irish history and a nice little shopping mall.

  • 5/5 Teresa G. 2 years ago on Google
So close to Connolly train st, lots of options for food, would recommend The Bakehouse in CHQ. Epic museum was fantastic too

  • 4/5 Bees C. 2 years ago on Google
The restaurants in the CHQ are some of the best in area. In particular Tossed and seven wonders. The actual mall itself is always very clean and very spacious, in particular the bathrooms are always clean. There is an ATM just outside the bathrooms which is very useful, mostly because of the one downside of the mall...... Everything is so expensive, but that is to be expected from a mall next to the banking district. All in all a great place to visit for food and beverages and maybe a tour of epic Ireland but not for shopping (unless you want some fancy wine).

Epic museum was hugely interesting. You need time to take it all in. While the kids thought it was interesting, they wanted to move through much faster so I didn't get to absorb as much of it as i would have liked

Food in Urban Brewery was very poor. The chicken was undercooked and some of the food was too salty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we did complain about the food they were very accommodating and apologetic. Cocktails were lovely. I would recommend for drinks but not for food.

Copperfacejacks is such a fun place and so well run. They have plenty of staff to check your Covid certs quickly and make sure that you are safe inside their nightclub. Great music and punters to have a great night.

Houses the Epic museum, one of the best experiences we ever had in our trips. An inside look at the history of modern Ireland. Must visit for everyone. Many choices for coffee or lunch also at the premises.

The information available and the way it is presented is top class. Maybe not suitable for young children as there is lots to read and absorb while making your way through each room. Easily loose a couple of hours on this journey. We'll worth it though.

A nice building with lots of natural light. Very limited shops though and no cafes that sell regular food. The cafes all sold weird concoctions I've never heard of.

Beautiful place. You got museum and some good restaurants and cafe shop inside

Great range of eateries and shops around EPIC the museum. Plenty of tables and chairs to take a seat, have something to eat and take in the hustle and bustle. Handy stop off if you're exploring the docks. There's free toilets as well and lockers you can use till 7pm (you get a number once you've visited EPIC). The docks have been regenerated so nice area of Dublin to visit.

While passing through Dublin, I had lunch here yesterday with my daughter and a friend who lives in Dublin. We ate at Seven Wonders, the food was very good. Seven Wonders and the CHQ building generally were very busy while we were there, however we didn't have to wait too long for our meals. Good atmosphere, would return if I am in Dublin again.

Chq is a good place to eat something. There are multiple options available inside the chq. I tried seven wonders and it was awesome. I had a tea latte and an egg bagel. I loved it. The staff was very good and service was very quick and I loved everything about chq. Would recommend it to everyone. Dine in and take away both options are available.

A must visit for anyone visiting Dublin. A couple of hours well spent learning so much about Ireland's history. So well thought out and excellently presented. The visit has made me want to learn more.

This was the location of the Great Dublin Banquet for soldiers who fought in the Crimean War. Irish writer Lafcadio Hearn was there with his Father, Charles Bush Hearn, and mentioned it in his writings.

The historical nature of this building is sadly forgotten by most Dubliners, it hosted a lavish dinner to celebrate those Irishmen who fought in the Crimean war.

  • 3/5 Pamela D. 3 years ago on Google
Didn't go to the museum but there wasn't a whole lot going on here. Only two stores were open a coffee shop and the museum shop which is worth the visit.

  • 4/5 Kerry L. 3 years ago on Google
Very interesting. A shame some key historical issues were glossed over and selectively presented. But well worth a visit. Some fascinating exhibits.

+ The CHQ is a shinning Christmas pearl with a beautiful shining arch. It is one of few places, which stays fully open all year 2020 with beautiful Christmas decoration on. Thank you for it so much, for all 2020. + Renovated interesting architecture building itself as for Dublin, something different, precious, bright with a general pleasant atmosphere. + Free Wi-Fi and open area to sit although no any places to charge. + Small usually interesting exhibitions. + Dogpatch Labs, constantly expanding and improving co-working place, interesting, cool and professional meetings open to the public is the The Vaults and The Garden. + Epic Museum, as a good grabs of Irish history done with hinch of Irish magic, generally entertaining although as everything could improve. + Excellent Customer Service in The Bake House and good selection of food. + Much better communicative and helpful Security. + Nicely added natural indoor plants and trees. If there will be even more of plants, this place would bring more traffic as kind of Central 2nd Botanic Garden, indoor small park, glass house and be more attractive in the urban city. + Location next to river. + Remained open without cutting too much hours during the current situation. + The best place to go to eat it is The Baking House for a all kind kf meals and good coffee and Seven Wonders with lots of vegan, vegetarian options, delicious fresh juices and smoothies. - Generally Take Away food place and standard average chain coffees for sourending offices, which brings traffic although it is missing an elegant, stylish atmosphere and niche, better taste restaurants and cafés with more tasteful food. How about adding one or two more extraordinary places maybe even with a club in the basement for after work drinks, pools, darts and cool vibe. - Lack of environmental improvements to exclude tones of not biodegradable plastic used every day in most of those take aways but it us up to those companies not CHQ. Although as conscious customer, I wish to see a good change. - This isn't responsibility of CHQ, IFSC and surrendering buildings but the area of the river dock is very dirty, full of trash and tones of the plastic bottles. This should be clean up by City Council. This area should be spotless due to the representative buildings, touristic attractions, multinational visitors, business and tourists from around the world.
