The standard of Sandbar has really gone downhill. The pizza has gotten smaller there is no way that is a 12 inch pizza. It is paper thin at best with very little on it. The wings use to be delicious. The last few times I have gotten them they have been very fatty and rubbery, it feels like the spicy sauce has changed. It looks to me that they are purchased in Aldi or something. It was very disappointing because it use to be 10 quid for any pizza. The pizza would be a lot bigger and wouldn’t be portioned like it is now. I also find it a joke how a pizza is 14 euro now with it being so thin. The manager is very unpleasant and always seems to be in a bad mood which is a huge turn off.

Food is stodgy & gross, pizza is undercooked, and service is slow. The owner hangs around the place and takes up all the staffs time by ordering lattes for him + his friends while they natter, and the customers have to wait.

Consistently good food, whether its eat in, or local delivery. Staff are friendly, service is good. Top marks!

Best pizza ever. If you want pizza with seafood, just go for frutti di mare. I will always come back to this place :) Staff is lovely!

Called in when out for a walk for a bite with a pal. Very nice waitress who was friendly. Long wait for food nut it was vety good. Unfortunately it started raining just as the food arrived. They could invest in some umbrellas if they want to encourage customers. One small wall mounted space heater so it was too uncomfortable to finish the meal so boxed it and finished it in the car. The main course salad was pricey for a small portion in a fancy big dipped bowl, usual Italian starters were 9 & 10 euro again a bit over priced but pizza was delicious.

Lovely pizza, and probably the best chips we’ve had in a delivery. A Friday regular now!

Went to Sandbar recently and I have to say the place is really gone downhill dirty old furniture and rude management. The food standard has totally gone down compared to 10-15 years ago with way higher prices and the wine is very overpriced for what it is.

Cannot be beaten on quality and price. Understated Italian with plenty of options. Staff are friends and always very accommodating. Best chicken wings in Dublin.

We have been here twice in the past and the food in general was very good especially their pizza. This time around it was disappointing. We had a meatball starter to share but the meatballs were cut into slices and had a very dense texture. We wondered if they had been microwaved. The tomato sauce was also bland. My pizza was fine but there was a strong taste of dried oregano and that bland tomato sauce again. My wife's mushroom pasta had a strong taste of dried garlic and wasn't very pleasant at all. There is no kids menu but they offer half portions. €10 euros for a bowl of kids pasta with butter is very expensive, many other places we've been to charge a maximum of €6 for this.

Best pizza around! Also chips are arguably better than the chipper around the corner 😋

I'm done with Sandbar. A few months back they left an item out of my order. I contacted them and was told to remind them next time and they'd sort it. I did and they forgot. I reminded them again with my next order, and they forgot. In fairness to the delivery guy, the first time I mentioned it he offered me money back, but I didn't take it because why should a delivery driver be out of pocket? It was only a small thing so I didn't bother leaving a negative review because the food was decent. I just stopped ordering from them instead. Fancied a pizza last night so I gave them another go and the quality has gone so downhill. The pizza was bland and had so little meat on it I thought they'd sent the wrong order. The chips were almost burnt, dry and unbelievably salty. I won't bother with them again.

Great, positive and pleasure place. We will back a more time!

Had a family lunch here today and the food was amazing!! Calamari and brucetta for starters both so tasty. For mains we had hake which was moist and the nicest fish I have ever had in any restaurant, my mother had pork and said the same it was so fresh and tasty this says a lot coming from a family of foodies. Had a great welcome and chat with the owner Luciano what a gentleman. Very reasonable prices would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you so much we will be back very soon.
