Positives and negatives Positives: There is plenty of parking. There is plenty of space. It's cheap. Negatives: The treadmills are ancient. Lot's of them have buttons that don't work making them dangerous. Too many plate configurations. Compared to rival gyms the opening times are pretty limited, especially at weekends.

Great gym with a wide range of equipment. Peak time are busy, but with the size and options, you're always going to be able to do something. Facilties are overall clean and staff are friendly.

Very big gym. Loads of machines and equipment. There's ample parking as well. Swimming pool is gone now, though. For the price, it's easily one of the more affordable gyms around, especially if you do the yearly upfront membership.

Gangs of kids hanging around the squat racks for hours with staff joining in. If the staff would moved them on and all members could use the equipment its a great gym for the price.

It will do if you don’t have anywhere else handy but manage your expectations and don’t expect any frills. Customer service isn’t great. They have a big equipment-hogging problem that staff do not police sufficiently. The music over the speakers is frequently audible through headphones/earbuds, which is not great when you look at the percentage of the people there wearing headphones. No other serious complaints.

The gym has fallen into horrific disrepair. The ceiling tiles in the locker rooms & showers are caked with mould. The machines are not cleaned by members of staff, with visible dirt & grime present on machines. Pay the extra few euro, exercise elsewhere.

Nice gym, however, always busy mainly with a young crowd. Despite how big it is and the amount of machines you're still waiting for a machine to be free.

I had a bank card stolen that was linked to my membership. When I tried to update my payment details I was informed by head office Margaret radios, that I now had to pay a join up fee as they cancelled my membership all without informing me until the cancellation. Very disappointed as I used the gym 4times per week.

Horrifically maintained gym, the cheap pricetag shows. The showers are constantly changing temperature, almost burning a person. The ceilings in the shower area are caked in mould & the staff don't seem to clean the machines or the locker areas. Go elsewhere.

Worst customer service in Ireland. My wife sent loads of emails to get a refund as during covid the gym was closed and then the swimming pool was closed for ages, which is the main reason why my wife took a yearly membership. We now moved out of Dublin. A lot of her friends also requested refunds and never received them. They claim that they never received any of my wife's emails. She has now lost her money. It is a disgrace to be so dishonest to customers. As a principle, I am keen to go to court against Ben Dunne Gym. I believe a lot of customers are also in our situation. Disgraceful company!

If you think waiting on a bench for 30 minutes is ok then this is your place. Also letting lads work in groups of 3/4 at equipment. Get more rooms and machines if the above is what you allow

Always clean, and tidy. Staff pleasant enough. But it's big and busy and can be hard at certain times to get a spot to workout.

Trainers are lovely and even the maintenance staff I think her name was Mary helped me with lockers. They where so nice I was very nervous joining and going in but was made feel at ease.

A very well equipped gym, in a massive building, little smoothie bar, so many vending machines and huge parking space front of the gym. Highly recommended

very poor and unfavourable experience of higher management/ customer service, Twice over charging membership under one name for a substantial period. They took quite a long Time to reply and did not kindly or proactively offer a solotion to refund these charges or even add credit to the account.

I'm sure it can get busy but I haven't had a problem so far. There are plenty of machines to use for your workout and I haven't experienced anybody queueing for a particular piece of equipment.... Staff friendly and helpful

Best Gym around right now , been to a couple of gyms but this place is organised and set up exactly how gyms should be after the pandemic . Plenty of space and equipment . Well done

Very well equipped gym and excellent value for money. In general, gym members are respectful of each other's space and it is a good place to train.

What a great plan yous came up with to Rip people off, telling people you are not doing the yearly membership anymore,so that they'll have to pay the monthly membership+fee for awhile but then bring back the yearly membership knowing that the majority of people will cancel the monthly membership and go back to their yearly membership because of the €115 difference between

Showers are back and lockers in the back so we can change in piece! Guys new personal trainer has joined the team! I've seen him training per the years there and now he coaches too. I just had my first consultation with him and he has smooch knowledge but he is so friendly. I can't wait to start new training programme! Highly recommended coach Noel McNeill.

I really really miss the pool and the motto here :"( but it's definitely the best gym I've been to in Ireland, and the staff have always been extremely regulation cautious and helpful! The hours are really good too :)

It's a massive gym. It's great. Only thing is some of the strength machines seem a bit old and have a weird smell (techno gym branded machines). I reckon some of them could do with a clean and a dusting. But all of the cardio stuff is A1. You can pay as you go for 36 euro pm (similar price to nearby competitor gym FlyeFit that charges 35 euro per month) or get 6 month membership that works out at 25 euro per month (best deal I think) but then you have to pay for 6 months upfront. I personally have membership with Flyefit as they have more gyms (20) and you can get a flexible membership that includes access to all their gyms. Plus they seem to have more classes. But there's nothing wrong per se with the Ben Dunne one. It has a massive car park and space for bikes too (which some of the FlyeFit gyms don't have). So if you need parking this gym is probably better for you than the FlyeFit ones!! You can get a day pass to try it for €10, FlyeFit charges €14 for a day pass.

Just got back after 2 months break - they cancelled my membership because i wasn't paying in my absence - so I had to re join with the new higher price. Than's not the worst, yes, but shows how they treat loyal customers. The worst is that before my break, like 3 months ago, there was a problem with the showers. Gym us opened till 22:00 o the weekdays but the shower cuts off hot water at 20:30. This was reported, and the gym supervisor came up with the story that something was broken. Guess what - after 2 months, the issue persists, and the gym supervisor, when approached, tells you that "it shouldn't be that way," basically playing dumb. Clearly, nothing is broken, it's heating/boilers are set that way. They treat people as if they're idiots. Looks like Ben dunne is trying to save a few quid for these three Chinese machines they put in lately. Looks like Ben dunne is going down.
