An
Irish
culinary
adventure!!
I
had
the
privilege
to
take
the
food
tour
on
a
busy
summertime
Saturday
in
this
majestic
city.
Here
are
my
thoughts
about
the
whole
experience...
The
Company
&
Staff
The
professionalism
of
this
company
starts
from
the
booking
process.
You’ll
get
your
email
with
all
the
details
of
the
tour
and
meeting
location
in
pdf
form
plus
the
customer
service
is
always
there
to
help
if
needed.
I
arrived
a
little
early
and
met
Cal
the
tour
guide
before
the
others
in
the
group
arrived.
Cal
was
a
super
interesting
guy
with
lots
of
useful
information
throughout
the
whole
tour
he
gave
a
little
history
lesson
on
every
walk
between
each
place
we
where
visiting.
He
also
took
the
time
to
speak
to
everyone
and
made
the
experience
super
fun
with
his
anecdotes
about
the
culture
and
city.
A
big
part
of
a
tour
companies
reputation
is
based
on
staff
and
Cal
excelled
in
every
area
throughout
the
tour.
Breakfast
We
started
at
a
local
craft
department
store
of
all
places.
It’s
actually
one
of
the
most
famous
stores
in
Ireland
promoting
Irish
products
from
small
suppliers.
Not
many
people
know
but
they
have
an
amazing
cafe
upstairs
serving
local
food
and
here
we
tried
a
potato
cake
&
black
pudding.
Now
when
in
Ireland
a
must
is
to
try
the
potato
cake
it
was
fantastic.
The
it’s
super
busy
with
both
locals
and
tourist
alike
so
made
for
a
great
start.
Whisky
After
a
stroll
through
the
one
of
the
oldest
parts
of
the
city
we
came
to
our
next
stop.
The
Celtic
whiskey
shop
is
one
of
the
finest
whiskey
stores
in
the
whole
world
with
one
of
the
best
collection
of
whiskey
from
around
the
world
that
I
have
ever
seen.
They
have
a
whiskey
here
from
the
1950’s
that’s
€20,000.
While
here
we
were
introduced
to
vast
array
of
different
local
whiskeys
that
in
my
opinion
was
some
of
the
best
whiskey
I
have
ever
tried
but
the
icing
on
the
cake
was
a
white
chocolate
whiskey
infused
liqueur....
wow
wow
wow
it
was
something
special.
I
had
to
go
back
to
the
store
after
and
purchase
one
for
myself.
Lunch
Took
us
to
the
Hairy
Lemon.
This
for
me
was
one
of
the
most
Irish
places
that
we
went
to
on
the
whole
tour.
The
place
it’s
self
is
a
typical
Irish
pub
that
serves
great
home
made
food
and
from
three
choices
I
went
for
the
Guinness
steak
pie.
The
pieces
of
beef
where
so
tender
and
the
depth
of
flavour
from
the
Guinness
elevated
the
dish
to
the
next
level.
The
Hairy
Lemon
is
a
particular
place
and
a
must
on
the
tourist
trail
while
in
Dublin
they
also
play
live
sports,
the
staff
are
some
of
the
friendlies
in
Ireland.
Ice
Cream
Now...
who
can
resist
ice
cream?
Especially
artisanal
ice
cream?
well
after
a
short
walk
we
ended
up
at
Murphy’s
place,
this
handmade
ice
cream
is
something
special.
They
specialise
in
unusual
flavours
from
sea
salt
to
brown
bread.
all
their
sorbets
are
made
from
collected
rainwater,
a
nice
way
to
save
the
environment.
Fish
&
Chips
-
Local
Cheese
An
so
we
arrived
at
our
last
stop
on
this
culinary
journey
around
the
city.
Leo
Burdock’s
fish
&
chip
parlour
near
temple
bar
is
the
most
famous
fish
&
chips
place
in
the
country
and
while
this
dish
is
famous
in
both
England
and
Ireland
they
had
something
a
little
different
to
offer
here.
Smoked
battered
fish
and
chips
and
being
British
I
have
been
eating
this
fish
all
my
life
and
I
have
never
had
it
smoked...
What
a
revelation
from
now
on
I’m
going
to
seek
out
places
that
smoke
their
fish
first.
Our
last
little
surprise
was
some
local
cheese
that
Cal
brought
along.
both
cheese’s
where
amazing
but
I
have
to
say
that
the
blue
cheese
washed
in
sea
salt
giving
it
a
delightfully
edible
crust
was
out
of
this
world.
To
sum
up
I
have
to
say
that
this
was
an
incredible
food
journey
around
Dublin
visiting
places
that
I
would
have
never
found
alone
and
at
the
end
of
the
tour
I
was
absolutely
stuffed
for
the
whole
day.
I
think
that’s
a
great
indicator
of
the
tour
it
was
perfect.
I
will
definitely
be
coming
back
with
friends
to
do
again.
I
highly
recommend
that
you
take
this
tour
you
won’t
regret
it.
