Hotel and room is very clean. Location is quite good too. Left luggage facility is handy. Room was desperately small and uncomfortably warm even for city centre standards. AC was barely working properly. Asking any staff member for assistance was clearly an inconvenience to them.... We received slumped shoulders in response to a request. The receptionist that checked us out couldn't be bothered to lift her head out of her hand while leaning on the desk. Staff morale is definitely not a priority at this hotel. I've never seen a more unhappy crew. Food and drinks staff in desperate need of training. Desperately disappointed with the food and restaurant. Our table was booked in advance, though the waitress had no record of it. Starters were fine, small portions but perfectly edible. My friend ordered a burger which when it arrived was clearly in need of another minute or 2 of cooking. She asked if it could be grilled a little more to her taste. Waitress did bring it back to the kitchen. In the mean time I received my main course which I can safely say was the smallest and most tasteless bit of chicken I've ever had, sitting on a bed of sweetcorn accompanied by half a potato. Yes you read that correctly, a bed of sweetcorn, and half a potato, It sounded much more mouth watering on the menu! So to bulk up my main I asked for a portion of chips. These arrived after I finished my meal which I wanted to return as it took so long to get them. I was told by our waiter " the chef said I was only waiting 2 minutes and therefore had to pay for them" Our waiter after he gave us this message said "that's clearly a lie, you're waiting longer than that". The infamous burger returned to our table. The jury is still out if it was even put back on a grill. Again we're told off by the chef, our waitress relayed the message "the chef checked it and said it was fine, but he cooked it another minute anyways" There was clearly a few issues on the evening at other tables, with the kitchen making a difficult service even more difficult on the floor staff. Definitely would not eat here again and I would consider other options before returning to stay.

Specific Requests made weeks in advance not honored, very difficult to communicate to get answers. At $300+ per night customer service should be priority. *No Airport shuttle services here! Dublin is Amazing, but stay elsewhere.

Great hotel and really pleasantly surprised . Very modern room but extremely comfortable and not stark nor minimalist. Excellent walk-in shower. The most wonderful staff - great professional outlook and willing to help. What could be better? Great value to-boot.

This hotel is absolutely amazing from arriving to leaving. Customer service from the hotel staff is outstanding. Self service breakfast is good which cannot fault plus do nice dinners as well. The hotel is clean and well maintained with being also in the best location, you got everything you need within walking distance. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The pandemic has certainly taken its toll on travel, so when the opportunity arose to come to Dublin again, I didn't hesitate to book a room again at the Maldron on Kevin Street. And just in time, as restrictions had just been lifted. Some safety protocol were still in place, like sanitizing the rooms and mask wearing in public places. Everything else was as it was during my first, pre-pandemic stay, which made me want to return. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed, and this time a great view of Saint Patrick's Cathedral from my room made my stay enjoyable and relaxing. And as someone who enjoys walking, the location can't be beat in terms of centrality to lots of places you'd want to go.

Modern hotel southwest of temple bar district 15-20 min walk. Good public connections into city. Beds are very good but a bit small for two person 1.80 cm or above. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. A bit loud if you are located with a room to the streets and are sensitiv. Bathroom is very nice but could have some extra care regarding the shower. Snack and ice machines available. No fridge in the room but ironing utensils. Good cleaning and housekeeping.

Nice hotel with great food. Overnight parking is €16 and it's first come first served. The staff are great. If you want a soft drink with your food, buy it from the reception vending machine as the bar prices are very expensive.

I stayed here for two nights and had to switch rooms after the first night as the shower/ bathroom flooded (due to a blocked plug hole, apparently). Took me ages to find the number to call reception as it wasn't written on the phone or the info instructions (nor was check-out time). Obviously this was very inconvenient. I'd also found that the kettle didn't work properly (I had to keep pressing the button down) and the hairdryer nozzle didn't fit the hair dryer). However, I will say that the customer service was extremely prompt, professional and helpful. Someone came very quickly to inspect the bathroom and I got a room change without too much hassle (though, of course, had to wait until the afternoon). The rooms were very comfortable and had adjustable heating. The beds were very comfortable too. Would I recommend? Yes. Even the best hotels have problems. When I next go to Dublin I'll be looking around for alternatives but I'll stay here again if I don't find something of similar value and location.

Hotel is located centrally so easy access to town. Rooms were nice and as expected from a 4 star hotel; the outstanding service is what sets this hotel apart as all the staff were absolutely brilliant in making our stay happy and comfortable. Everyone was really helpful and friendly. Thank you to everyone at Malden Kevin Street for making our Ireland trip great !!

we actually liked everything. New rooms, spacious bathrooms and a fantastic breakfast. The only thing we didn't like was the packed lunch which we got instead of breakfast on the last day because we left very early. It wasn't worth the money and we were very disappointed. The hotel urgently needs to improve here! Otherwise the hotel is very recommendable

Initially irritated at not being able to check-in until 3.00 - 3.30pm (which meant no change of clothes, and finally checking in at 10.30pm. Check ins should always be early afternoon, not late afternoon.) BUT after 2 nights I'd come around. Good room, good bed, great breakfast, helpful staff. I'd stay there again.

Only spend one night here, but the room was clean and neat. The lady at the front desk was really helpful in getting a taxi. Breakfast was good as well

Very comfy beds, modern and spotlessly clean bathroom and bedroom. Lovely pic on the wall. All that we needed. Food delicious. Loved the Korean crispy chicken wings. Tasty, excellent-value breakfast. Staff professional, hard working, efficient and lovely, but please could they smile a bit more! 🤗. Surprisingly, apart from the bar at Dublin airport, your hotel poured the best pint of Guinness we had in Dublin over the 3 days we were there, and we tried many pubs! Thank you for a brilliant night’s sleep on both nights. We didn’t expect to have such a nice stay. 🥰

Beautiful room very clean and looked after. The hotel is in a good location, not far from everything. Vety helpful staff safe was broken but a very helpful gentleman fixed it for us. The only thing was not being able to get many channels on the TV. Definitely will return

Couldn't fault anything in this hotel. My room looked toward the hills in the distance. Breakfast was excellent in terms of choice (hot or cold), the food seemed fresh, and the coffee was good. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Lovely hotel , great location A nice relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Rooms are lovely. A decent size, warm. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was ok A nice selection of gluten free options. However I felt a little overpriced for vegans I managed a bowl of cereal , then toast, mushrooms, tomato, potatoes and beans. Would stay again but wouldn’t pay for breakfast.

Great hotel in a perfect location. We were lucky enough to have a view of St Patrick's Cathedral from our bedroom window. Had to book this at the last minute, as was let down by previous accommodation. Glad really, as our stay was fantastic. Great ambience, staff and room. Only downside was that the lifts have a mind of their own, otherwise we would have scored the hotel 10. Want to come back next year, so that says it all really.

What a clean wonderful hotel the atmosphere is warm and friendly. After spending 24 hours on a plane this place met every expectation. I was having trouble and the young lady behind the desk Marisol fixed my family right up excellent job! Clean room, was just a wonderful first night in Ireland. The breakfast was grand I can't recommend enough

Great little hotel with accessible parking. Off the main tourist area so stayed quiet while still being walkable to everything you’d want to see. Super nice they had private parking available on site. Rooms were clean and spacious. The bed was a bit firmer than our group preferred in our rooms, but overall pleased with the stay. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We did get the pizza from the restaurant which was not particularly good, but the burger was great. Also of note is that there isn’t room service, but order to the bar and pickup to eat in your room.

Excellent customer service, the staff were exceptional helpful with knowledge of the area and public transport options. Although we had booked early check in, we arrived earlier that the time allocated, but within an hour the staff had one of the two rooms ready for us, going above and beyond to get us settled. Rooms comfortable, and clean, although looking a little tired, but overall nothing that would put us off staying here again. The beds were very comfortable, great room service, and breakfast was amazing. All staff being polite and welcoming.

We arrived at the hotel to be greeted with a warm welcome. The check in was straight forward you have to use your room key to get in the lift great the place is nice and secure. Mia was great with us and made us feel right at home and really looked after us during our 2 night stay. The hotel itself is very clean and the rooms are spacious with a nice view. Breakfast was great a lot of choice. service was excellent. Thank you to all the staff and Mia who made our stay and excellent she was fantastic. We would certainly be back

We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by friendly staff. The check in process was simple and we were informed of everything we needed to know. Mia made us feel right at home and would go out of her way to make sure everything was taken care of during our 2 night stay. The hotel itself is very clean and the rooms are spacious and cover everything you will need. The bar/restaurant area has a nice atmosphere and the service was overall excellent. Thank you to all the staff and in particular Mia who made our stay and excellent one. We would certainly visit again when we are back in Dublin.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Maldron hotel, Kevin street and I must say, the customer service I received was absolutely outstanding. From the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out, I was consistently impressed with the level of care and attention to detail. However, there was one individual who truly stood out, and I would like to express my utmost appreciation for their exceptional service. Jamie, the the manager who answered all my questions and concerns, went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Jamie not only demonstrated extensive knowledge about the hotel's amenities, but he also had a warm and friendly demeanour that made me feel like a valued guest. He patiently addressed all of my inquiries and concerns, ensuring that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thank you to the entire team at Maldron hotel, Kevin street for a memorable stay, and special thanks to the manager Jamie for going the extra mile to make my visit extraordinary.

The was an excellent hotel to stay at, rooms were clean, comfortable, modern and secure. We were able to check in early (at no charge). Walking distance to lots of great places to visit. Breakfast was excellent - plentiful and varied, and lots of seating. All the staff we interacted with were wonderful and professional.

We stayed here for three seperate occasions during May, July and September. Each time we stayed, we were impressed with the standard of the hotel and friendliness of the staff. The rooms and more importantly beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and a good selection in the bar. We were looked after at Breakfast by Mia, who always made us feel so welcome. We will definitely stay here again whenever we visit Dublin

Nicely located with great view of St. Patrick's Cathedral and good rooms. Room was very clean, but plates and cups at breakfast could be cleaner. We ordered breakfast in the room for one morning and didn't really receive what was chosen. Therefore this one breakfast was too expensive. The buffet we did another morning was good except for some dirty dishes. Overall however it is a good hotel with nice staff! We would come again :)

I would give 5 * but we had problem with our room after check in. Bathroom floor was not cleaned well and they were loads of hair on it so we complain to front desk. Girl who was there did come in to the room and checked it and said Sorry and that she will change room for us...so 5 min later she come back with new room key which one was just couple doors away from previous one so all been sort it very quick and with the smile and simple apology. Over all we had really good 2 nights stay in this hotel and is really good located as everywhere is close by .Plus is to that hotel have their own secured car park(16euro for 24h).

Good spacious rooms, bright and clean although slightly low on clothes storage. Excellent friendly service and perfect location. Breakfast was a bit "meh" but was very convenient and filled a need. Food via room service was surprisingly very tasty!

Need more space shelf under TV. Could use small frig. (as option) No tissue at all. Bath wash cloth is huge and not practical. Shower is damaging door and floor due to open concept. No clock in room. Card key needed for lights should have another key issued. Beds were nice and comfortable, but comforter being the only top blanket made it too hot often at night. The staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast options would be nice. (Full Irish breakfast is a bit much all the time.) I doubt anyone will respond to this review, but we did have a nice time in Dublin. Sincerely, James McGowan, full Irishman!

The best hotel I've stayed in for a very long time! Friendly & super helpful staff. Food was to die for, amazingly delicious. Room was clean, modern & so comfortable. I can't wait to stay again for a Dublin weekend!

We visited Dublin and the trip was fantastic. The hotel is in the city center but in a quiet zone. It is close to all interesting attractions. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is super and you get a great breakfast. What else can I say... Thanks Maldron!

Stayed here for a 2 night break and it was a pleasure. Staff were excellent from moment we arrived and nothing was to much bother for them. Room was spotless with excellent facilities and breakfast on both mornings excellent. Five minutes approximately from temple bar. Will definitely return

The staff were very friendly, and my room was fab. The only things that went wrong were the shampoo/shower gel bottle was not topped up after the last guest ( I asked reception for it to be filled and never was). Also, the QR code to order stuff for the room was offline throughout my stay, also was mentioned to reception. Breakfast was fantastic and the manager on the floor was helping his staff serve tables which doesn't always happen which was good to see.

This is a lovely, reasonably priced hotel, close to City centre. Food quality is excellent both at breakfast and for lunch time snacks. It is on a number of bus routes so easy access round Dublin. Despite necessary Covid 'rules' it maintains a friendly, helpful approach.

Really impressed with the welcome we received. Very friendly staff. Great room with good facilities included. Central location with great access into town with good restaurants and cafes. Will definitely be staying here again when we visit Dublin next year.

Centrally located hotel, next to St. Patrick Cathedral. The front desk staff is very friendly. Due to the current situation (CoVid), many services (daily towel change, daily bed making and so on) are not a given, but must be ordered separately at the front desk. Otherwise, anytime again. The rooms were clean and the location is top.

Awesome there are rooms for handicapped guests, but they're far less than desirable for able bodied guests. The bathroom / shower combo was cumbersome & unpleasant. The shower/floor drain didn't work well, leaving a lake for the entire bathroom floor & even spilling a bit into the main room. The bed was shorter than a standard bed & left me unrested. The interior of the rooms feel cheap, like college dorm rooms more than a hotel room. Staff were pleasant, the location was fantastic & the coffee in the room was good (a vegan creamer option would be welcome though).

  • 5/5 Andrea M. 2 years ago on Google
We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Dublin. The location is ideal for easily accessing the tour buses. The room was spacious, modern and clean. The staff were very professional, polite and keen to help at any opportunity. The variety of food for breakfast was as expected and fresh food was always added to the buffet. We dined in the restaurant on one occasion and the food was fantastic. We cannot praise the Maldron Hotel in Kevin Street enough. We definitely recommend staying here and would definitely book this hotel again in future.

Arrived at hotel at 8.00am and dropped our bags off. Were told our rooms would be ready by 3.00pm. Spent the day exploring Dublin and returned to the hotel at 3.30pm approx only to be told our room was not ready. I complained that we had been up since 2.30am and were extremely tired and wanted to get to our room. We were advised to sit in the bar and get a drink. I ordered a white wine with soda and ice plus 2 other drinks. My wine turned up with an open bottle of LEMONADE and no ice. I tried explaining this was not what I ordered but the waiter did not appear to understand. He eventually brought the ice over. When we had finished the drinks and paid (Very Expensive) we went back to check on our room. Still not ready. Eventually the manager went to see what the problem was and we finally got to our room around 4.30pm. 3 very tired and irate customers. On a positive note the hotel was very clean and the beds comfortable. Good choice of breakfast menu and close to Town Centre.

I can't imagine a better hotel experience. We spent three nights at the Maldron Kevin Street while exploring Dublin City. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The full Irish Breakfast was great. The Grain and Grill Restaurant also has a great lunheon and dinner menu.

Hotel front desk staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The room was great for the two of us, and the food good as well. Close to sites like st Patrick’s and Christ Church and very walkable to Trinity College and Trinity Pub area.

Lovely clean and newly decorated hotel. Breakfast was lovely, lots of variety. We had a family next door that had a small baby. Not once did we hear them until we met them in the corridor. I'd ask that you place a collection point in carpark for keycards as you need it to get to your car to leave.

We were put in rooms that didn't have working air con. When raising this with staff we were told they were well aware of them being faulty. This was not made known to us before checking in and no alternate room was offered. We had to ask for a key to open the window three times before someone eventually came but the rooms were still boiling hot. No apologies given. Very expensive to drink in the hotel bar too. Clean rooms and bathrooms and comfortable beds, but based on our experience I would not consider staying again.

My husband and I enjoyed 8 days at this hotel and loved it! Spacious rooms and great breakfast. Rooms are only cleaned upon request due to covid but they tell you that at check in. You just need to mention you want your room cleaned on a given morning and they'll take care of it for you! My only wish is that the room would have more storage for clothes. But otherwise, if we ever find ourselves back in Dublin we wouldn't hesitate to book again!

My friends and I stayed at the Kevin street branch of the Maldron last weekend. It was an extraordinarily busy weekend in Dublin with some huge events happening in large venues. Reception reflected this when we arrived, the staff were truly run off their feet. My booking on booking.com *was* confirmed but was not on the hotel system - the way the staff handled this issue was exceptional. They very quickly solved the problem, they found us a perfect room, and they went above and beyond to compensate for the error (an error which was not even theirs). Considering how under pressure they were I was impressed by how well they engaged with us. This alone would be a recommendation from me, but everything else we experienced over the weekend was faultless. Super staff, delicious dinner & breakfast, and our room was very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Couldn't recommend this hotel more! I will certainly stay here again, thanks to all!

  • 5/5 Paul L. 2 years ago on Google
The rooms were nicely appointed and clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. It really worked well for us. If you want to work on something, the decor of the restaurant was not so good. Too bright, it did not reflect the quality of the hotel and staff.

We had a lovely stay in your hotel, we didn't eat in the hotel as there is so much variety near by. The only thing that didn't impress us was the waiting time at the bar for a drink and it wasn't even busy. I think this needs to be improved. Otherwise all was good & the staff are lovely & very helpful. Thank you one & all.

We stayed here while in Dublin for three nights. I chose this hotel due to its location, good reviews and fair prices and was not disappointed. We showed up around 10am not expecting to be able to check in yet but luckily they had a room available. The room was very clean, modern and spacious. We ate breakfast each morning which is included, you just reserve your breakfast time the night beforehand online. Breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. The location is very good, right next to St. Patrick’s Cathedral and within a few minutes walk to St. Stephen’s Green and the Teeling Distillery.

Maldron Hotel Kevin Street is located in a great area of Dublin. Everything was close by to walk to. The hotel has a private car garage. It was a little difficult to find - cost €16 a night. We were able to check in online which was great because we were able to skip the long line to get our keys for the room. I believe we were in a disabled room. This was disappointing because there was no counter space in the bathroom. When we were ready to check out, we told the guest service person we also need to pay for parking. She said don't worry about paying but then noticed we only stayed for one night and made us pay. It was a weird situation. Overall, the hotel room was clean and comfortable to stay in.

We stayed here from monday till Friday. The room was super clean. The staff was really nice especially the man who helped us find the good bars and tourist places. Easy 15 minutes walk to the tourist bars. Easy 5 minute walk to the other bars and clubs. We had dinner at the hotel too. It was delicious i recommend doing that too. We had a really good experience ♥️

The hotel was in a great location, very central and had everything needed - the vending machines in the lobby were a nice addition. However, the air-con in our room was broken (it would turn on for 30 seconds, and then flash constantly with an error code - this was only discovered late at night, so we didn't give the hotel an opportunity to fix to be fair!) We also ordered a pizza for the room (as being advertised throughout the hotel) - when phoning down at 11pm to order the pizza, we were passed to 5 different people to try and place the order, having to explain what we wanted each time - not very efficient. The hair dryer was also cracked and didn't work as well as it should - it would have been good if this was noticed as part of the cleaning / check-out procedure from the previous guest.

Hotel room was spotless and very basic, staff were pleasant, the bar/ restaurant area is not nice, it's a very strange layout and feels like a canteen, very odd. Breakfast was nice. A grand place to just lay your head for a night. Good value for Dublin.

Great modern Place near St. Patrick's Cathedral and 10minutes walk from the Temple Bar. There was nothing missing during our stay. Reception staff pollite. Rooms clean and spacious. Beds very comfortable. Great stay!

Enjoyed staying here, it was a nice comfortable hotel with helpful, friendly staff. A short walk to the shopping centre and bus stop for tour bus. Rooms are good with tea & coffee facilities. Due to covid they don´t clean the room every day, but can be requested if required. Bathroom was a little small but had all that I needed. Would stay here again.
