Having
stayed
at
this
hotel
twice
now,
I
feel
like
I
can
give
a
balanced
review.
For
me,
this
is
a
solidly
3
star
hotel.
Firstly,
the
positives:
-
location
is
pretty
good,
within
walking
distance
from
most
of
the
city
centre.
I
will
caveat
this
by
saying
that
the
area
can
feel
somewhat
unsafe
when
it's
dark.
The
hotel
is
located
down
quite
a
dark
lane.
-
Modern
hotel
and
rooms,
rooms
are
new
and
modern
and
have
air
conditioning
(although
it
doesn't
work
particularly
well,
which
is
surprising
in
such
a
new
building)
Now
on
to
the
negatives:
-
Some
of
the
decisions
they
made
are,
quite
frankly,
ridiculous.
The
rooms
have
no
kettle,
tea
and
coffee
making
facilities,
storage
space,
fridge,
desk,
drinking
water.
Considering
the
price
point,
it's
crazy
not
to
have
the
basics
of
a
hotel
room.
Local
hotels
like
Clayton
and
Maldron
offer
all
of
these
amenities
at
a
similar
or
lower
price
point.
Staying
here
for
more
than
a
night
or
two
would
be
a
nightmare,
since
there's
literally
nowhere
to
put
your
things.
-
Windows
cannot
be
opened
at
all,
which
makes
the
room
feel
claustrophobic,
particularly
when
the
weather
is
warm.
-
Shower
has
extremely
low
pressure,
which
is
a
pet
peeve
of
mine.
All
in
all,
if
you're
looking
for
a
lower
priced
Marriott
property
in
Dublin,
it's
more
or
less
down
to
this
or
the
Aloft.
If
you're
not
loyal
to
Marriott,
there
are
far,
far
better
options
in
Dublin.
