We went here for my brother's after wedding party with a group of 16. Nice spot in busy location. Was very impressed with the area we had to ourselves plus our own bar was a nice touch. Food baskets were offered and cleaning up service was quick and efficient. The bar was very good at letting my brother use his Nintendo switch on the TV which allowed us to play games. Made it a very memorable evening. Had to vacate at 11 which is unfortunate and understandable.

One of the best burgers I've tried in Dublin, so far! The music and the environment, together with the friendly staff makes of this place a really nice spot to stop and chill, either for a drink or to grab a bite!

Foley's is a very nice pub downtown Dublin. The atmosphere inside is very colorful and cosy. They have live music 4 days a week, which is quite nice to have a little entertainment while talking to friends/boyfriend/girlfriend. Food is standard pub food but quite good overall. Prices are standard for the area. Staff is friendly and professional.

Overpriced drinks, my cocktail was sickly sweet and minimal alcohol in it. Staff don't seem to know their drinks prices. No drinks menu available, I found this a bit stupid as we had to just order whatever they named as an option. The only positive was it was cosy to sit and watch the football, and staff were friendly. Overall, I wouldn't bother going here again

(Translated by Google) Simple but appetizing Irish food. Guinness in a cozy and cozy atmosphere, with a pleasant waiter. (Original) Comida irlandesa sencilla pero apetitosa. Guinness en un ambiente coqueto y acogedor, con un camarero agradable.

We ate here on a busy day. We had a gorgeous day to enjoy eating outside. Both my wife and I had the seafood chowder and I had a Murphys Stout which were both good. Service was reasonably quick and friendly.

With so many pubs and bars in Dublin, it was daunting at first to narrow down a party venue for my 50th birthday party and to celebrate 20 years cancer-free for Sat, 22nd February. I looked through so many from when I lived in Dublin but ultimately it was an easy decision once I had contacted Gráinne Devenney at Foley’s. Trying to organise the party from New York with a month and a half to go, I thought this would be difficult. Only for Gráinne, it was a breeze. She was quick with her responses, so helpful, offered suggestions with room and party food choices and timings, that I paid a deposit with her straight away, which went against food and drinks on the night. Gráinne worked with me by email in answering questions on DJ hire, decorations, cake storage and utensils, closing time, our fundraising for Pieta House for Suicide Awareness and a few other requests. Gráinne even arranged for us to have a reserved area for the Six Nations England v Ireland game for the Sunday afternoon. Everything was seamless and she was very efficient, kind, thoughtful and funny in her communications. As we could only get to the venue on the party day, Gráinne agreed to meet us in the afternoon to show us the Oriel Room and we went through final details. The Oriel Room is on the 1st floor and it couldn’t have suited our party better as it just exudes fun; apt for our guests and theme of 80’s/90’s night; decorated in bright colours and floral wallpaper, long curtain drapes, all kinds of high and low tables and chairs, a smoking room attached to the room, plus an overflow room. As it happens, we stayed downstairs and met some of our guests there for a drink before heading back to the Mespil hotel to get ready. The bar area downstairs is equally as exquisite and cheerful, and the food is excellent. Returning that night, the bar manager, Davy was so attentive, as was all the staff, I only wish I could have remembered all their names, in particular Martin and Gavin were fantastic, always checking up on us, cleaning and clearing things away and worked great with DJ Baz of Dublin DJ Hire. The food served was a mixture of chicken goujons, cocktail sausages, potato wedges, mini fish & chips, mini chicken & chips, spring rolls, veggie samosas; all extremely yummy! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the night and it went so quickly, as all good things do. We left on a complete high and with a taxi line just outside the door, it was so easy to get back to the Mespil hotel. On Sunday, we had reserved an area downstairs to watch the Six Nations and because there were 18 of us watching, they opened the Oriel Room again. It was perfect and the room and experience wasn’t like “oh we are here again” but “wow it’s so much fun to be back here again” and we laughed and chatted the whole time. Martin and Gavin were there again to serve us excellent bar snacks and drink and after the game was finished, they saved us a table downstairs for us to listen to some great live music for the rest of the evening. We can’t wait to go back to Dublin so that we can pop in again. Thank you, Gráinne, Davy, Martin, Gavin and all the hard-working staff at Foleys!

My wife and I visited here after it was recommended by the barman in Reillys. We were lucky to get a table as it was just getting busy we both had fish and chips. We were served by a girl named Samantha. She was so attentive. She came to us a few times and asked was every thing OK. She also had a great sense of humour which we don't find from staff nowadays in the United States. I would definitely recommend this place.

Indo-Canadian visiting from Toronto. Not impressed. Snobby waiters which is odd because it’s not a classy joint. Head bartender (not the guy in my pic but seemed to be Eastern European) seems to forget he’s a bartender. Lots of attitude for no reason. My dude - you’re a glorified waiter - please learn your place. They were fake nice after I tipped though lol. Note: The Irish staff were all really nice - seems to be a common thread throughout Ireland: the immigrant staff offer terrible service if you aren’t European; the Irish themselves are lovely. The owner should take note of this if he wants to see better clientele - you will lose out on business if you don’t firmly educate your more recently hired staff. Happy to spend my $$$ someplace that’s actually classy and deserves it. Food is unusually bad even for pub fare. Couldn’t finish my fish and chips. Good cocktails though. The redheaded girl (cocktail) was my favourite. Go here if you like bad service and bad food while pretending it’s someplace upscale.

Nice and cosy spot in a very upmarket area. Good for a quiet drink before heading somewhere else. Plenty of seating and wide open space. Excellent live music I have experienced more than once in here. Recommended.

After a chill Saturday afternoon wandering around town and having a few beverages, myself and the other half were lured into this pub by the unreal belting of tunes (by a guy called Dan Elliott... he deserves a separate 5 stars!!!!). It was early evening but the place was absolutely buzzing - great music, great atmosphere, good craic staff... loved the change to DJ playing cheesy classics after the live music stopped. Will definitely be back!

awesome place to eat for lunch, the beef burger was amazing and the staff were very sweet and helpful. I wandered around for a while before I found this place and it's exactly what I was looking for. Happy busy and not too busy for lunch.

The team at Foleys are an absolute dream to deal with. Gráinne really helped us out booking an area for engagement drinks at fairly late notice and couldn’t have been more helpful. On the night the lads behind the bar were friendly; up for a laugh and again couldn’t do enough for us. I’m recommending Foleys to everyone since and I know we’ll be back time and time again.

Absolutely delicious! Stopped in for lunch. Had Beef & Guinness Hot Pot for lunch. It was wonderful. Melt in your mouth beef, mashed potatoes, vegetables and a puff pastry bread stick with lots of gravy. It couldn't be any better! We will return!

Awesome pub for the weekend. You can have a great evening here with an amazing vibe. Live Band and the people just want to have a good time. Lost my headphones there and got it back the next day! Thank you Foley's team! You are great.

Fantastic place for an event. I had my sisters Hen Party here the weekend and the staff were brilliant. Especially Martin (think that was his name). He joined in whenever he came into room and made everyone laugh. Wonderful staff member. Food was lovely and had an overall great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone going into town.

Came here, well, because it's got my last name! Had a great experience here. Service was great, was checked in on, got a beer recommendation, and a new one when needed. Food came out timely and very tasty! The holiday decor inside was so nice and festive. Really great vibe. Will go back next time I'm visiting in Dublin!

Everything was good, and the fish chowder was some of the best I've ever tasted. Update Feb 2023: they've remodeled and changed to an "American" menu (burgers, pizzas, fries). All delicious.

Had the oriel room for a birthday function and was very pleased with how it was planned with Gráinne. Staff on the night were very helpful, the room was just the right size for an 80 to 100 person party and the food was very well presented. Would recommend it!

Just arrived from US 🇺🇸 and a local recommended Foly's. We were not disappointed. Mostly locals and casual. Great atmosphere, music, service, and fish and chips. Chicken fries were nice but too much food. Everyone had a great time, especially my older grandson, who had his 1st alcohol. Guinness, of course👍😎

Being a Foley visiting Dublin, a taxi driver told me I had to go to Foleys pub. According to him it was a more authentic Irish pub than Temple bar which is famous and always fun but more of a tourist trap. The taxi driver didnt steer us wrong. We loved Foleys, food was great and service was very friendly. We asked our waitress for a few extra napkins with the logo on them to add to our home bar. She happily gave us a huge stack and asked if we were sure that was enough. She told us she'd only worked there about 3 months and we were about the 20th Foley family to request this. Great pub, we loved our visit here

Great place for beers, cocktails, and a surprisingly good pineapple and bacon pizza. I may be a little biased as I have the same last name, but no relation. Good atmosphere and nice bartenders.

Absolutely delectable vegan pizza - best I’ve had at a non-vegan establishment! This place has a spacious interior, friendly staff, and a full bar to meet the needs of all types of drinkers.

We picked this bar based on the reviews and the food options, we knew there would also be a futbol game on that day, and the decor looked super unique and eclectic. We arrived for lunch a little after opening on a Saturday. The place filled up quickly and was full before we left. This was also our first time having a meal with the Sweet Chili sauce, which we've both had on other foods before but something about the fried food in Ireland made the sauce that much tastier! We order boneless wings and pepperoni pizza. The Red Headed cocktail was amazing - earthy and a tad sweet. The restaurant overall has a snazzy feel, the bathrooms were by far the nicest I had seen this far and the staff was friendly. For more recommendations and tips from our Ireland trip... Not their fault due to covid restrictions they’ve had to rearrange the place, but the only area that’s now opened is more like a daytime cafe. Tiny little round tables and seats all squashed into tight corners. Plus the heat is unbearable, they’d want to turn it down. The chicken wings were great, really good, and the seafood chowder. Loved foleys in normal times when it has its small front bar opened and the large upstairs outdoor area. Looking forward to coming back when it’s fully reopened. For now, it lacks any real atmosphere and one screen in the place is a bit lacklustre for sports.

We had my sons 21st birthday at the Oriel Room at Foleys. Éana and the 2 others with him at the bar were charming, courteous, helpful, friendly, efficient, and great at their jobs. Éana in particular went out of his way to help us at every stage... from the initial decorating of the room, to the set up of the projector for our slide show, to keeping the (very heavy) cake fresh and presenting it well for us. The room was gorgeous! It was a perfect size for our party! Even though the party was packed there was never a queue at the bar and the empty glasses were always swept away. The staff gave an air of fun and never seemed to be stressed. The smoking area was fantastic and my son and his friends highly praised this too! I recommend The Oriel Room at Foleys to everyone! You all helped to make my Son's special night one that he will cherish the memory of forever. Thank you!!
