I
leave
it
to
travelers’
objectivity
what
rating
Irish
Day
Tours
(IDT)
earned.
Our
day
with
Mr.
Adrian
started
well
by
chance.
The
front
seats
were
available
so
I
didn’t
have
to
worry
about
my
motion
sickness.
Prior
to
landing
in
Dublin,
we
requested
Trip
Advisor
for
seats
in
front
because
of
my
motion
sickness.
Ms./Mr.
Flaure
responded
saying
s/he
“hoped
that
we
were
able
to
join
our
Cliffs
of
Moher
tour
as
planned”.
Our
tour
reservations
were
in
the
future
at
that
time
and
were
for
Blarney
Castle.
I
requested
that
Ms./Mr.
Flaure
read
our
request.
Ms.
Laura
responded
saying
“arrive
a
little
early
and
speak
to
the
driver
who
would
be
able
to
get
you
a
seat
near
the
front”.
“Near
the
front”
does
not
prevent
me
from
throwing
up
when
sick
with
motion.
The
singing
Mr.
Adrian,
our
guide
cum
driver,
was
entertaining
with
all
his
stories,
information,
singing,
etc.
He
did
a
very
good
job
at
the
Rock
of
Cashel
and
Cahir
Castle
and
on
the
way
back
to
Dublin
from
Blarney
Castle.
We
like
him,
and
we’re
one
of
the
parties
who
tipped
him.
I
informed
IDT
in
writing
that
we
got
separated
from
the
group
at
Blarney
Castle,
had
to
buy
our
entrance
tickets
which
were
included
in
the
tour
fees
that
we
paid
and
requested
that
the
ticket
costs
be
refunded
to
us.
Ms./Mr.
Flaure
wrote
back
saying,
“I
was
informed
by
our
driver
that
you
decided
to
leave
the
group
and
went
to
the
bathroom
without
notification
.
.
.
We
cannot
provide
you
a
refund
for
this
occasion.”
First,
we
did
not
decide
to
leave
the
group.
Our
faux
pax
was
we
did
not
inform
Mr.
Adrian
that
we
needed
a
bathroom
break.
Our
thoughts:
We
were
not
separated
from
our
group
in
the
two
castles
before
Blarney
in
the
same
IDT;
We
had
four
other
tours
with
two
other
companies
the
previous
days
and
were
not
separated
from
any
group
in
any
attraction;
It
appeared
that
no
one
noticed
we
were
not
with
the
group;
We
were
not
informed
of
any
effort
to
look
for
us;
No
one
asked
us
where
we
were.
Thankfully,
Viator
and
Chase
Sapphire
Reserve
CC
had
refunded
us
the
cost
of
Blarney
Castle
tickets.
