4 stars for gorgeous fabric and friendly staff. I bought lovely cotton jersey but found a manufactures flaw that ran the full length of fabric when laying out my pattern. Rang the shop and the reaction was disappointing to say the least. I completed my garment because I had bought more then was needed for pattern I was making. There was a lot of waste and no offer made. In fact no reaction at all. Yes dissappointed.

The ladies in this store were welcoming and took their time to help and give practical advice. The material is really beautiful and you could spend hours here.

Great selection of fabrics and lovely atmosphere. The staff is really friendly and Sam's coffee is delicious. A very original place to stop for a nice hot beverage!

Handy to have a haberdashery/fabric in you're in the south side of the city centre, especially a independent one in these times and they do have a handy selection of fabrics and textile supplies but by Jesus your one with the short blonde hair (probably English) is so unnecessarily rude. I asked about a price for an embroidery hoop a while ago as I was going to be working on a new project, I was aware that she was on the phone as I approached her but all I got was "I'm on the phone" in a sort-of smart alec tone. She wasn't incredibly busy from the looks of things so the least she could do was ask the client to wait for a few seconds (which I'd say that client would understand giving it's a customer facing job) or even, a no brainer really, price each of the hoops as I and I'd say others would have no idea how much they cost. I immediately walked out and I saw that there was a mother and daughter waiting to talk to her as well as they stood there for about five minutes or so. Incredibly overpriced which is probably due to the rent which I'd get but I won't come here as often based on my recent experience. Would recommend WM Trimmings or The Fabric Counter instead if you're near the city centre, at least the staff members in both those shops don't come off as pompous.

Sinéad helped me to source the material for my wedding dress and my bridesmaid's dresses. Sinéad also helped us to reach out to Denise Long, an incredible designer who works closely with CLOTH, to design my wedding dress. Suffice to say I came away from the experience with the most beautiful wedding dress made of the most incredible quality fabrics. Not only that, I also came away with an incredibly positive and enjoyable experience. Sinéad and Deirdre bent over backwards for me at every turn to make sure what I got was going to work for the design and purpose and was of the best quality around. It really was a faultless end-to-end experience. Denise's skill and artistry was second to none. I don't know how she did it, but she managed to interpret my thoughts and then create the dress of my dreams. Denise's creations are beautifully tailored and engineered with impeccable style. I couldn't recommend Denise Long more to anyone who is considering a bespoke garment. Thank you Sinéad, Deirdre and Denise!

Looking to make some cushions for my new garden furniture, I asked for some ideas at Cloth . I was really pleased with all the advice I received about fabric ,tapes and types of cushions. The owner picked out a selection and I am really pleased with the Mulberry design I choose that they ordered in for me very promptly. Beautiful. ( just got to make them now)! Very happy with the friendly and helpful experience I had in Cloth and will definitely return for my next project.

I had my debs dress made by Denise Long and I must say that the whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. It was a pleasure to have such a personal dress making process. Denise was receptive and the final product showed great expertise. I felt fabulous!! Thanks you again!

A gorgeous little fabric, sewing and notions shop. However, it caters more to tourists and it is quite expense. Well worth stopping in. You can also find a nice variety of Irish tweed and linen. In the photo are their wonderful ribbons - some as much as 32 euros a yard.

Great for fabrics. I make faux-fur cloaks (think the costume design for Game of Thrones or Vikings), wall decorations, and sometimes model animals for a hobby. I've been here two or three times over the past two years. I'm pretty new to fabrics and sewing overall, but the staff are very helpful and up for conversation. Great diversity of materials on display and the prices are good for the amount of high-quality fabric you get.
