Joyfully interesting setting for an solid example of french cooking. Not all dishes where equal but on a whole, an enjoyable dinner. It’s hard not to confuse dated features for character, but some things could do with a updated. Fast almost friendly service and wonderful selection of wine reasonably priced.

The overall experience was lovely. The food was nice, ambience cosy, service very friendly. The food whilst it tasted nice, wasn't mind blowing, it was enjoyable but lacked some depth in flavour compared to other French restaurants I've been to. The service really friendly and the food came out promptly and hot. I'd advise booking in advance especially for bigger parties as its a really small restaurant, but albeit cosy and full of character.

First time back since the end of lockdown, still one of the hidden gems in Dublin. Some of the finest french cuisine. Always going back

Such a lovely hidden gem of a restaurant. The staff are very professional and super efficient. The wine list is mind boggling with every taste catered for. Food is traditionally french and super tasty. Every visit is a delight.

The place is really cozy, has a great French vibe! The onion soup was absolutely delicious! We also had a sea bass and the duck. Really good value for price. We closed the night with a classic crème brûlée. The service was really nice too. Would love to come back!

Very good restaurant. The service was excellent. Food was delicious, creative & tasty. French onion soup was perfect - flavorful without being over seasoned. Excellent wine list.

I really enjoyed this place. The early bird menu was fantastic, 3 courses for €26. I had the patΓ©, venison and chocolate dessert and we ordered a slab of cheese between 2. A carafe of white burgundy cost €21 and the red wine cost €39. Altogether including the tip it came to €132 but you could have two cheaper bottles of wine and the whole thing would only cost €40 each. You do feel like you're in a little part of France. Will definitely be back.

Out again with friend to catch up, and we're spoilt rotten. Out with friends for Christmas lunch. Cosy basement atmosphere and warm greetings. Food and wines were excellent, sommelier knows his pairings. Venison is recommended. We were really well looked after, home from home experience. We could have stayed all night, but we'll return. Really handy being so close to Grafton Street.

The place is definitely a gem. If you don’t know yet, just go. The place is downstairs (a cave πŸ˜…) and super cozy. I loved the atmosphere. It is French, elegant, beautiful. The wine selection is to die for. The first place in Dublin that I found Chocolate Block bottler 🀀. The food is good (average) nothing special, but fair. But the whole experience and the service will make me come back many times. Conclusion: if you are a lover wine, as me, and like great experience, this is a must place to visit.

Very good service and food in a tight place, not so good to big groups, but for at least group of 5 would be a great choice

Excellent. We did love the food and drinks. We adore the place. Service is quick friendly and polite. Only issue is that we (only a couple) were placed to sit on the top floor in the middle of what looked like a party of 2 massive tables. Very noisy. We could barely talk. We appreciate the waiter noticing this and apologize at the end of the evening. Only a gentle feedback. Thank you. We will be there again. Valentina and Kenny

Wow! Really enjoyed the simple but professional preparation of my meal: French onion, sea bass, and passion fruit sorbet. Small intimate space with attention to the proper details. Whoever is in the kitchen did a great job of using quality food that was cooked just right.

This place is a hidden gem! It's very small so make sure to make reservations in advance. I highly suggest coming here for the early bird special with the preset menu, it's a great deal. They also have an extensive wine list with something for everyone's tastes.

The name of this place describes it well - hidden underground, in a rather cosy and rustic set up. I personally found it a little too cosy with tables a tad bit too close together. Excellent value for the quality food served. I had the crab tartlet, venison bourguignon and creme brulee though initially I thought I could not handle a 3 course meal but the arrival of my friend's order totally changed my mind! Walked out happy 😊

Very enjoyable. Very old style. You could be in a small cafe in Paris. Thankfully it hasn't changed at all in the 20 years I have been going there. Pop in for a glass of wine or a nice french onion soup. Food was delicious and the wine. Not outrageously expensive.

Normally rave about this restaurant but seriously rat droppings!!! On my last recent visit myself and my friend thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Food was of a high standard and wine suggestion from our helpful waiter really added to the enjoyment. We were absolutely delighted to be back, so can you imagine the shock when we read that there was strong evidence of rodents in the restaurant. It surprises me that management/staff who may have been aware that this was the case, did nothing to resolve the issue. For this reason I won't be visiting this restaurant again.

Great restaurant with a friendly staff with a nice wine selection. I enjoyed my meal, especially the risotto and oysters. The soup was also much needed after a day in the cold.
