I will not come back to this shop again. The staff is not friendly. When they try to give you an advice they are judging you. They should watch their tone. 2/5 because I believe the intention was good but you don’t speak to customers like that. When I was about to buy a muzzle I was asked which dog I have and what the dog does. Then the staff explained to me the use cases for the muzzle and I said that I will use it for that. At this point their voice was already very judgemental, loud and arrogant. At the end of the conversation she said that I will kill the dog with the muzzle because the dog won’t be able to breathe. She almost screamed at me. Then she recommended me a plastic muzzle basket where air gets through. I said that I am not intending to keep it on for such a long time and that I consider the plastic muzzle. I also asked why they are selling muzzles in the first place. I don’t feel comfortable in this shop. It is my responsibility to take care of the dog and I can decide for myself what I see fit. If you like to give an advice please do so in a friendly way without being loud or judgemental.

Aquatics section completely gone. Prices are way off the mark. Woodies has cheaper Catfood across the carpark. It used to be a pet shop with knowledge staff, now it's a pet supply store with till opperators.

I was there today September6th with my wife bought 100 +euros worth of dog food etc name tags etc I was blown away by the service exceptional 😀 Gary and a young lady with dyed hair could not have been more gracious and helpful to whomever trained these two they did you proud We will be back.

Lovely big shop well divided for cats and dogs. The staff are always really friendly at the tills and are pretty knowledgeable. I get my cats food from here and it's a pretty good price for very decent quality food. 2 400g bags usually does her a whole month and they're only 5 euro each! Also have a great selection of toys, treats, scratching posts etc. Can't fault the place at all.

Typically shop here to stock up on pet food. Staff are usually friendly. But despite Covid info signs outside and in requiring masks, surprised to see other customers with no masks and worse several members of staff with masks hanging off one ear/under their chin. Has been the case last few times I shopped there so not a one off or lapse from one person. When I asked a staff member about it she seemed flustered and just walked off. Not very reassuring.

The grooming service is brilliant, we brought our nervous dog in a few times to get her acquainted and the girls were always so lovely. She had her first groom this morning and she looks beautiful and was so comfortable with the girl who did the groom, she treated her so well, which is a relief after having a less than amazing experience with another local groomer. Nessa says a big thank you!

If you have dog , cat , rabbit or other hairy animal is right shop for you. They have nice stock to choose from... But there is no more live aquarium fish or if you looking to get some stuff for reptiles and amphibianst there is very vet little... so for reptiles and amphibians I recommend other store. Otherwise staff is friendly and helpful 👍👍👍

Was up there today with my 4 month collie pup to get fitted for a proper harness. Staff were so friendly and put my pup at ease. Looked after him brilliantly 👏 Highly recommended

Needs to do better on price... Imagine - opening weekend after their move from the Tesco complex. All the fanfare with balloons and signs up advertising 20% off everything, and still their prices were an issue. I went in looking to buy food for my very spoiled cat. A guy, who I am guessing was a manager came over to ask if I was finding everything alright - and seemed genuinely very helpful. I did ask him if the prices on the shelves included the discount, and was very pleased when he told me that the discount would be taken at the tills. So my cat eats Royal Canine Sensible 33 as he has a very sensitive gut - and very loose stool with anything else. The price on the shelves was 42.99 for a 4 kg bag... so approx 34ish after the discount. Sadly for Maxi Zoo, I am able to buy 12kg online from Irish stores for less than 60, or a 4kg bag for 30 with no discount. Disappointing to say the least. Having said that, their new store is really nicely divided out, making it really easy to shop for your pet, and unlike Equipet - the predecessors in the same retail unit - they do stock OTC meds like worming medicines etc.

I really like this pet store and they've given me some great advice on keeping fish so that they have been able to live long and prosper. Very friendly and helpful. Only losing one star because lately they have been out of stock of some vital aquarium accessories for a while and there is no solution currently available. However, they were able to advise on a temporary alternative solution, which was very knowledgeable and helpful.
