We hadn't been to the Ivy House in a long time because of Covid. We used to eat there a lot in the past and had had many family parties there. We were delighted to see the lovely new layout and really comfy seating. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was just delish. Extremely tasty and not too expensive. We will be back very soon! A great bar/restaurant for families.

Food was lovely! Best chicken wings I’ve ever had and the blue cheese sauce was just right. Cocktails were good & NOT watered down as some places are. Staff really welcoming and service spot on! Worth a visit

Didn't leave hungry food was tasty and good pint of guiness, sweet and sour chicken sizzler and burger with chips. Service a bit lax and easily confused, had to request service but friendly. I agree with lacks atmosphere though a lovely spot to chill for a chat, bite to eat and a drink.

Amazing food. Stopped here for brunch before heading back to the states and the food and atmosphere were lovely. Everything we ordered was 10/10

Nice bar with nice food and friendly staff. I ordered the seabass and would recommend. There is a good selection of food and drink on show and overall would recommend

Very big place, good atmosphere to take a beer, work or just chill. Food is just fine but plenty enough. Service is impeccable and extremely kind.

Love the ambience of this place, we had a terrific time and the food was lovely. Our waitress was so helpful and went the extra mile. The candles certainly add extra points!

Was amazed food here was so good. Unusual in bar setting! . Especially the vegetarian Burger. Was quiet time of day; late afternoon so was not buzzing but that's to be expected. Staff enthusiastic and keen to help. Setting lovely and lots of different choices depending on your mood. Next time I will try Cathy's Snug bar right next door. Parking was easy across the road albeit I paid but noticed another customer had parked free in the Supermarket car park! I will deffo return.

The food is gorgeous. The value for it is fair, due to the quality of the meals. The waitress were very helpful and attentive.

Quick service, good food, good choice of drinks and menu was limited for the match day but it was still really good. Beer garden is tiny, and with only a few smokers it gets too much quickly.

This is my "go to" local if I can get out of the house or if the Mrs and I have been to one of the close by restaurants. Great selection of beers, great table service and a nice looking bar. Well done.

This was what I was given when I asked for 'a light snack'. I ate the chips, and took the chicken wings back to my guest house to serve as two further meals. Generous!

Had a simple Steak Ciabatta here. It was the best 12.45 euro spent. The bread was crisp, the steak was juicy. And great customer service to top all that. Well done Ivy House. Now that's a chef to Keep !!!!! Will surely go back for more.

Favourite spot in the vicinity. Always a place to come when visiting my family in the area. Food is phenomenal and the best pint of Guinness around that isn't mentioned in the usual lists. Hidden treasure.

We arrived with our toddler for brunch. In an attempt to keep away from others having their breakfasts in case our toddler threw a tantrum, we chose a table at the back of the restaurant. Instantly the Asian waitress appeared and gruffly told us to take a table at the front, saying "you can't expect me to run all over the restaurant for you". She then told us the section was closed (spoiler alert: it was not). It completely soured out visit. The food was nice but the greeting was so bad that it tainted everything. I understand that they may be understaffed, and where we wanted to sit didn't suit, but there are ways of speaking to people that don't involve snapping the head off them. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Food was very average bar fare. My partner had the vegan burger. I ordered the chicken Kiev. Her food was ok. My veg was cold. I said this to the blonde girl who was serving us. Asked if I wanted it heated up. I replied yes please. She took my plate without a word. I waited about 10min before she brought my food back. I thanked her but again without a word she put my plate down & walked away. The place was very quiet but the service was very poor. When I finished my food I wanted to order another drink but I couldn't get anyone's attention. The other girl who was serving was in a long conversation with another customer. I've been there before for drinks but this was my first time to eat there. I won't eat there again.

Wont be back here! I dont expect food to come instantly but we were waiting a ridiculous length of time for to even be offered order drinks, let alone starters. Got so fed up waiting around, actually left instead waiting for main course to be served. When said to the waitress she replied that they were very busy. There was plenty of free tables available and it was definitely not that busy. I asked 3 times for hot water to warm a baby bottle, which was giving to me eventually after 30 minutes. Given menu’s and not informed what was actually available, so when we did go to order, the majority of the orders were changed as β€œwe dont have that now” was the reply. As we left the waitress said your mains is actually coming in 5 minutes so we asked for takeaway, waited another 20 minutes for this. Got the food and honestly you would get better in the local takeaway. This dinner was for a graduation cermony so really dissapointed as it was suppose to be a special occasion. Wont be back here!

Great craft beer selection. Only had chips re food but those were nice. The place is a little big, to the extent that it lacks character/coherence. The service was also a bit hit and miss. We were a large party (with a reservation, mind you) and some of the bar staff seemed annoyed/overwhelmed when we’d try to order something.

Went for food. Poor service bar staff standing around chatting. Place was empty. Waited 20 mins for our drinks. Beer tap had to be changed for my partners drink whilst mine sat at the bar. Which is fair enough but my drink could have been brought down and informed of this. Had to go up and get it and ask again for menus! Food was awful for Turkey and ham no Canberry sauce even tho it was on the menu asked for the sauce and was brought gravy down to be told it’s cranberry sauce.:… already had gravy which was half warm. I was in the ivy last year and had a similar experience. 50€ for two dinners and two drinks. Would not recommend won’t be going back shame as we live local.

12 of us ate here on Saturday night and probably will not return, staff certainly not friendly as if they dont want to be there,we were told we could not order drinks to the table and must go to the bar ourselves which was very inconvenient, food overpriced for what you get, chips were disgraceful, burnt scraps, wings poor and mains not much better,i don't think we were asked once was everything ok,very disappointing as it was a family get together and some had travelled quite a bit to be there.

Great food and service here. Particularly good for breakfast and handy for a break from the hotel opposite. A ray of light on a difficult patch of road.

Been there just once but it was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful, the food was great and prices were reasonable. If I can make the time next time I visit Dublin, I'll definitely come here again.
