Exceptionally rude staff at Library St. The whole experience from start to finish was a disaster. The waitress in charge of the bill was the only pleasant person there. Was asked from the hostess to wait outside in the pouring rain until the table for our reservation was ready. Another waitress came back outside to accompany me to wait inside a lobby instead of getting soaked. We ordered five dishes and a dessert, which we could not finish as they were enough for us, yet we were aggressively pressured by the waitress to keep ordering more. She kept saying "that is not enough" "you are eating too lightly". We did not appreciate the encouragement for consumption and food wastage over clients' comfort and desires. The risotto was ok, nothing exceptional. The artichokes and parmesan as well as the candied beetroot were tasty, and the chicken wings raw inside with an overly salty crust. I do want to highlight however the sheep milk espuma on the blood orange dessert to be quite a work of art! The yogurt-y flavour in balance with the blood orange sorbet is perfection. Really well-done on that dessert! Library St should not adopt this complacent rudeness because they have had a successful launch. Service and food need to follow-up with the promise that is sold. Room for improvement.

Located on Dublin's Setanta place Library street is a little off the beaten tracks, but worth the hunt. The venue itself is bright and modern but definitely fits in the "boutique sized" class, that has many wines on tap. Personally I'm not a fan of dried flowers in a food arena especially hanging ones as there's more chance of something falling into your food, that said it fits with the character of the place. The food is presented in the tapas style and is designed to be shared. Between the group of us we ordered one of everything except the oysters. All of the dishes were beautifully presented and expertly executed, with pride and passion evident on every plate . Of the starters the beets were particularly flavourful with a sauce that seem to offer a new touch of flavour with each swipe. The chicken wings were also quite a delight and somewhat of a surprise. Not exactly what you'd expect from a chicken wing they are very well made and a great taste experience. The wild garlic risotto was by far the best dish of the night, between it's rich vibrant colour, and punchy flavour, it's worth visiting for this alone. Of the mains the pork chop was so very tender and seasoned; the monkfish was marvelously golden and just a little smokey offering great depth. With the desserts I wasn't entirely sold on the Paris Brest however the espresso ice cream was absolutely divine. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, being sure to detail each dish as they served it. Overall a good experience, with great food and good service, perhaps not one I'd be in a rush to repeat, there were a few ninja charges like the water they bring and pour for you whether you ask for it or not, and if you happen to be drinking with your meal the wine is on the fairly expensive range for being on tap. I dare say there's bright things in the future of this little nook.

Love the food & service here. Pork came in a large portion (for 2-3 people to share)!! Loving their grilled smoky taste, also in love with their pumpkin risotto which came in a variety of texture in just one dish. Loved their starters too - sourdough was delicious. Oyster was ok but I’ll skip this next time if I have the chance to come back again. Love the interior and attentive services.

Beautiful space and tasty food. The choux pastry with horseradish was light and delicious, same goes for porchetta, which you should definitely get with sourdough baguette. Wild garlic risotto looked gorgeous and balanced the garlic flavour really well. We tried monkfish too and I definitely recommend an extra side with it , like artichokes. I think the best thing was the dessert. The chocolate pastry was delicious and definitely to share with someone. I would love to come again.

Disappointing meal. Had high expectations for this restaurant that unfortunately weren’t met. Other Dublin restaurants recently exceeded library st on quality and price. None of the courses gave us that ‘wow’ factor. Nice atmosphere and staff but at €205 for 2, we expected more.

We recently had an amazing dining experience at Library Street restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious options, and I was blown away by the flavors and presentation of the dishes. The quality of the ingredients and the chef's attention to detail were impressive. The portion sizes were generous, and I left feeling completely satisfied. The service was impeccable, with knowledgeable waitstaff providing excellent recommendations. Overall, it was an outstanding experience with absolutely delicious food, a cozy ambiance, and exceptional service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delightful culinary adventure. Definitely coming back 👌

All of the food was delicious, perfect for sharing, we were 3 in total. Staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful with everything. I'd recommend to order about 2 snacks per person there, 1 starter, 1 main, 2 sides, and we tried all of the desserts which were all very good. Very fair cost for the type of food they have which is very high level. I will definitely be back again and will reccomend.

🌟🌟5 Stars To Library🌟🌟 We visited Library Street last week and the overall experience was just brilliant. From the get go the service staff was very friendly and we felt looked after the entire time. The food was absolutely amazing and we loved the concept of the sharing menu. Every dish has its own story and the taste of the quirky starters is just taste amazing. We loved the size of the restaurant as it only has a few tables which makes the experience even more special. Wine list was superb and we can not wait to come again once the menu changes. For us it’s easily one of the best restaurant in Dublin which come close to fine dining experience. One recommendation if you decide to book a table: try and book for 7 or 8pm no later! We booked for 9pm and some dishes where already sold out. So to get the most out of the experience it’s best to book for an earlier slot.

Blown away! An incredible calm atmosphere met with passionately crafted food that consists of perfectly combined flavours that complement each other beautifully. Cannot recommend this place enough for couples on date night OR for groups who enjoy sharing delicious food. We've already booked to go back!

The food was five stars but other things brought down the score. My girlfriend and I were meeting up with some friends recently and had booked Library Street, we had heard very good things about the food and wanted to try it. We weren’t disappointed on the food front as everything we ordered (and we ordered every single thing on the menu) was delicious and beautifully presented. Library Street is clearly angling for a Michelin Star in the next year, so if you want an excellent food experience before the currently substantial prices become stratospheric, I’d book soon. I would also note that the portions are very small so you may want to factor in a single of chips on the way home. The service staff were very knowledgeable on all the dishes and wines and were very helpful at all times. Generally our experience was extremely good, however there were two things that stuck in my craw and whilst they wouldn’t be considered black marks, they’re definitely grey. The first was, when we sat down, two unordered carafes of water were placed on the table, they were replaced at some point during our meal but we didn’t want, need or ask for them and didn’t drink the second set, when the bill arrived we were charged €8 for the four carafes of water. I know in the grand scheme of events in a bill of €360, €8 is a paltry amount but it annoyed me. The other thing was arguably more important and that is to do with the kitchen. There’s an interior window so you can see into the kitchen from the restaurant, I didn’t notice at the beginning of the meal, which is a good thing, but a number of the chefs had beards (one of them extremely long) and none of them were wearing beard coverings (snoods) nor were any of them wearing hats. If your staff aren’t going to abide by HACCP regulations, I don’t really want to see it so I’m not stressing about a potential hair in my food.

I enjoyed a pork chop this evening that was, in a word, divine. The pickled element, the mushrooms, the char on various components…superb. I was extremely impressed. The risotto was also delicious, I loved the sage and cheese pairing. I had a call I needed to take and had to head out a bit earlier than intended, but I took the remainder to go and savored the last few bites back at my hotel. And the service was lovely and I really thought the prices were extremely reasonable given the quality and quantity of the food. Look forward to returning when I’m next in Dublin!

Food was great. Between the four of us, we ordered the 4 "mains", and three side orders. That was sufficient. Some of the dishes were not worth it like either of the turbot dishes or the langoustine I thought. The pork was my favourite as was the cabbage. The service was really good and friendly. The interior was lovely and quite compact for a restaurant. There was an intimate private dining room downstairs. Toilets were lovely and clean. A round of coffee orders was given on the house which was a nice touch. I wasn't a fan of the automatic "discretionary" service charge added to the bill of 12.5%. One of the worst Americanisms to be imported.

Went to have my birthday dinner. Really good food and drink options. The highlight of the meal was kouign Amann for me. I enjoyed chicken wings and pork for main too. Little bits of chicken bone was unpleasant though. Paris brest itself was amazing but not sure about coffee and yuzu flavours together. Would love to go back and try other dishes as well.

Our first and best meal in Dublin. Everything was so delicious and staff was very nice. Amazing vermut and dishes. Worth the price and quality. Loved the mix of flavors, cuisines, and portions. The vegan 🌱 menu was awesome, loved the risotto and all the Vege dishes. Don’t miss this place. Book in advance.

Excellent raw materials, extensive wine list with adequate prices, given that everything is imported. Exaggerated prices for the portions offered (1, I repeat 1, scampi, not imported, €18!). Non-existent room service (empty dishes not collected, unprofessional wine pourer). 100€ per person with 3 glasses of wine per person and 4 "empty" plates: really disproportionate prices, I don't recommend it.

What an satisfying experience! It's the first time I've tasted what I would like to call an Irish cuisine that's not shy. Flavors are exactly on point. The ambiance was very casual, welcoming, but with a lot of style. As you're seated you're invited to share with whoever you're going with what you're having. It's refreshing to find a nice place that doesn't frown upon sharing. We were delighted to be able to try all the dishes we ordered. That Paris breast, OMG. Service was good, I just think that they can excel at it.
