My husband and I wanted to go in the Adriatic Sea, and now we can say we did it. The beach was not a pleasant experience...we are used to sandy beaches...these are rocks/pebbles. My feet were not happy! Luckily, we brought our own towels. Chairs and umbrellas were too expensive! I would not visit this beach again.

The man taking payment for sun-beds is ultra arrogant, non welcoming and extremely rude. Also, it’s priced per sun-bed not as a set/lounge. Beach is nice and scenic but i’ll look for another beach from now on thanks to this guy.

If you feel like paying $24 to sit down or $180 to lie down this beach is great! Otherwise.... There is a beach down the road you can sit down at for free. If you buy a few drinks they don't seem to bother you though, worth keeping in mind.

There are many sunbeds and sunumbrellas to rent at this beach. There is also a small free beach where you can put you own towels and sunumbrellas. The water is clean though a bit cold when it is windy. It is good for travelling with children because it has got water sports park nearby.

Beautiful beach, plenty of places for food and drink. Wonderful path to the side of the beach, make sure to visit it, you can walk it to the end of the point and so many hidden restraunts I between.

Beautiful beach but the waitor was one of the worst I have ever met. No service at all. After asking for the bill he throws the bill on the table and says "service not included". After giving him the money for the pricy but basic cocktails in plastic cups he told us he has to go and get the change. He came back after a minute and did not give us enough (10 euros were missing...). This is a common scam. I can recommend going to the beach but stay away from the beach Bar in the middle !

Nicely lay out beach and promenade. Laid back feel. Family/kids oriented. No loud wild partying here. Perfect place to wind down. Good restaurants. Area is tucked in a cove, calm water, perfect for swimming or just floating soaking sun rays. Along the promenade, Hotel Kompas has live music/singers every night on patio - you can relax, chill out and enjoy the music over drinks or dinners or both. We did! Definitely will come back.

Great beach with lounge chairs. Music from the bar next door can bother some people, but for me it was great. I came quite late so there was no charge on the chair (or I never got asked) so that’s a tip! It wasn’t too crowded vs the ones closer to old town. Although in July, the sunset wasn’t directly on the view of the beach, just FYI. It was however, great.

Didn't stay at the hotel. Went to the beach as part of a week long holiday in Dubrovnik during October half term. Overall I was disappointed. It appears to be a man made beach of pebbles. Because of the time of year sunbeds were not available so it was very uncomfortable. The slide was closed off. On the plus side there are lots of bars nearby.

Great beach for young and old. Bars and restaurants near by. Amazing sunsets. One thing to remember is a pair of wet shoes. This is a pebble beach and can be sore when entering and leaving the water.

One of the best beaches in Dubrovnik with all the facilities and pubs and bars nearby. Location is also good. From old Town bus number 4 comes to the place and the frequency is very high. There are good restaurants and hotel rooms near by.

Beach close to hotels. Beds quite expensive 120 kn a day. But comfortable. But if you came late you can just take one for free. At least we were not asked to pay after 17:00 Quite crowded place but nice and clean water (not crystal clear). Lot of services around.

Nice place to spend some time - plenty of drink options for the adults while the beach and bouncy castle will keep the youngsters well occupied. Unfortunately, the water while still nice by most standards is perhaps the worst in Croatia - it has a very strong sea weed smell and is not as clear as many other beaches. Not dangerous and not dirty…. Just Be prepared to shower afterwords.

Sunset beach gets a fantastic amazing awesome beautiful sunset, as advertised. It is a lovely beach that is rocky, not sandy. There are nice chairs and umbrellas for a price but you have it for the whole day. There is a nice bar not too far away. A great experience for me!

Beautiful sunset view and the sea is crystal clear. Many restaurants and coffee shop nearby. A easy walking trail along the seaside as well. Good place to relax and enjoy

We only visited the beach. Very well organized. Reasonable prices. And if you follow the side road that leads to Cave bar More and further you might find your own private spot to swim.

Sunset is hardly visible once it passes the land opposite beach. Expensive sunbeds and showers are paid.

Nice location but a tourist trap. The water is great but the fact its a stone beach and theres so many rocks under the water means you need to swim with shoes. Also the prices of 200Kuna for sunbeds and umbrella is overpriced. You are cramped like sardines as well on the sunbeds. If there was a bit more personal space id give a better review. But compared to other beaches this one is among the worst.

Loved Sunset beach but get used to the pebbles.Beautiful swimming and views beach bar. Enjoyed La Casa for lunch. Wealth of restaurants for evening meal, particularly enjoyed Agra and Surf and Turf.

Lovely beach, pebbly where the loungers are. Much easier to get in from the steps. There’s also so many little alcoves across the beach walk if you want some privacy

Free chairs before noon and after 6 pm! Great chill atmosphere with tropical house beats from the beach club nearby. No crazy youngsters jumping off the cliffs like at Bellevue, mostly families and little kids. Restaurants and eateries available all around with typical Croatian customer service - no smiles, no extra effort - but this is everywhere you go in Dubrovnik. Clear water, pebble beach. Bring your swim shoes! Walk to the right up the hill and you might find a private spot to tan and swim if you go down the stairs.

Not too busy, lots of sun and beds/loungers available to rent for a fee. Also has a bar which is great!

Sunset beach - true to it's name it's actually a nice place to watch the sunset. There is a beach side bar close. The beach is fairly clean and well kept - it is a rock / stone beach so can be a bit difficult for those that struggle with soft feet walking between "beach" and into the water. The beach was not too busy but we were there before the peak season.

You cant actually see the sun crossing horizon-but colors are beautiful. Lots of beach chairs and bars restaurants nearby. Not really cozy, more like a city beach.

Nice beach, large stones. Restaurants nearby. Probably not somewhere to go for a swim and relax as you're amongst all these restaurants which are quite loud and overlooking you.

Beautiful clean beach BUT the sunbeds are extremely expensive to rent for the day. Staff enforce hiring two beds and an umbrella as a package for 240 kuna, which works out to approximately £28/$34 a day. The pebbles are uncomfortable so it seems they charge a premium knowing that it's an otherwise painful experience. If you're staying for an extended period of time it's an expensive way to enjoy the beach. Having spent time in other places like Lopud where they charge 50 kune per bed and per umbrella (which you don't have to take as a package) I think Sunset Beach is a bit of a rip off.
