Easy way to travel up to the mountain. It's better to buy the ticket online so you can skip the long line. It will take about 2-3 minutes each way. There is really nice view to the whole Dubrovnik especially to the Old Town. PS. You can also travel to the mountain with taxi and it's lot cheaper. This way you miss the nice cable car view, but it's budget option.

This was about £20 return and worth it. Very quick and solid journey up and down. There is an old fort at the top and in the distance a village which is an easy walk. Great views. Take some water as it's pretty much a desert on the top.

Definitely worth it for the experience, but I think the cable car is very expensive for what is a 3 minute ride but again worth it for the views. The views over Dubrovnik old town are just stunning and are not to be missed. Just breathtaking. Went to the restaurant for lunch very expensive just like the old town but I would recommend as you will probably not get many other places that would beat the views, really unbelievable ☺️👍🔆😎

The cable cars go often an the ride up is very quick. I would recommend getting the tickets in one of the official sellers such as information points to skip the queue while you're there. The price is about £10 one way. We hiked down but that seemed quite dangerous so would probably recommend taking the return ticket. The views from the top are amazing, especially the sunset.

Great experience! The views are amazing and you have plenty of time to enjoy them, despite the journey being only 4-5 minutes. The car can rock a bit from time to time but it’s incredibly well maintained and safe. It did seem a little ridiculous when buying tickets that we were charged 2€ extra as a “transactional fee”, probably just a way of ramping the price up. Tickets are the same price online as they are in person so buy them however you prefer to. The views from the car and from the top of the mountain warrant the price however.

The cable car is pricey at 200 kuna per person, but we were pressed for time in Dubrovnik, so we took the trip up. The wait for the cable car wasn’t more than a couple minutes each time. The view on the way up is beautiful, and the full ride is a short three minutes or so. While the view from the viewing deck is pretty, it’s relatively crowded and the view is partially obstructed. Highly recommend walking outside the back of the viewing deck and up the gravel road to the west. You only need to walk a couple of minutes or so, and you’ll see another gravel road to the left. There will be a little path that those who hike up the mountain take. From here, the view is spectacular. We got lucky and ran into a crowd of 100 goats on the walk back and watched them snacking on the brush for about 20 minutes. Probably a highlight of our time in Dubrovnik.

We waited until sunset and the views were spectacular. No queue’s getting up and down. The cable car takes about 5 minutes to get to the top. Lots of viewing spots. We got a cocktail in the restaurant while it got dark and the views are just as amazing at night. Worth the ticket price.

You MUST do this in Dubrovnik, especially if you have limited mobility like myself. It's the best way to see the most upon arrival. We arrived by cruise ship and needed to walk a short distance to the cable car entrance (just a small ways past the walled city entrance - e.g. GOT filming area). There's no need to buy tickets in advance or through shore excursion travel agencies, as it is readily available at the kiosk at the Cable Car entrance and is usually much cheaper on site. You buy a RT ticket and it's a short ride up. Once up there are shops, restaurants, and several look out areas including a large Christian Cross... I'm not sure what this area is called, sorry. We took pictures and just sat up there and enjoyed the view. Nearby there's an area to rent 4x4 ATVs for tours... we aren't the adventurous type, nor were we in the season, but it is an option. Enjoy the views and take it all in.

Great views from the top and a fab restaurant. Very quick fro the bottom to the top and back again. My only criticism is the price €27 per person is very expensive and no cheaper price for concessions either. So this is why I give 3 stars.

The best spot in Dubrovnik. BUT you don't have to climb the mountain only by cable car. Taxi or Uber is cost-efficient for 3-4 people. I recommend to call Uber to the top of the mountain and negotiate the price for the return trip as well. The driver will be able to guide you some great spot for the photos. Climb there in the late afternoon if you want to see a great sunset among the islands.

If you like this review give it a 👍 Nice way to get on top of the hill. From there you have a beautiful view over the (old) town and her surroundings. Not the cheapest fare (€27).

It is 27€ per person (5 min), round trip. 15€ up only. You you can take a foot path down if you are wearing athletic shoes, the walk down takes 1 hour. At the top is a great view and there is a restaurant and gift shop. There is also a war museum to visit at the top, 5€ entry. 4 wheeler mountain top tours too! If you walk the footpath up it takes about 2 hours depending on your athleticism. The trail up/down is the red zig-zag picture.

Despite what many say, I felt this was worth the cost of the ticket. I understand it's less than 5 minutes of a ride, but I have a fear of heights and was super happy it was quick. Once in top (and safely back on the ground), we enjoyed views of the city that could not be beat. Had lunch at the restaurant at top, ehich was also lovely!

Stunning, no other way to put it. We went up right before sunset (as that was recommended to us by a friend) and it was worthwhile. There is a lovely view once you get off the cable car but the best view can be seen by walking out from the little visitor area to the left. If you go down the dirt road to the end, you have arguably the best view of Dubrovnik. While there is a closer path/view, the one we had allowed for an unobstructed, breathtaking view. There also is an option to go off road quad riding, which would have been fun as well. We went as the last tour of the day was wrapping up and we would have considered doing this, had we known about it before hand. We were able to buy our tickets from the counter at the bottom of the cable car without needing to do it in advance. I believe this would only work during “off peak” (we went in late May) and perhaps it would be worth booking ahead of time during peak season (June-August).

A must to do in Dubrovnik. Roundtrip ticket price for adult is 200 Croatian kuna. There is a restaurant on the summit. Some activities available too like zip line among others. Also go for a quick tour at Fort Imperial. Time to spend overall is about 2 hours max or 3 hours depending on your planned activity.

One cannot deny that the view is very pretty at the top, but you have to be honest and say that the cable car service is very overpriced. When you reach the service you're almost halfway up the hill so you can just as well walk. The only thing is that you won't have access to the platform at the very top if you don't have a cable car ticket, but it's a personal decision I guess. 20€ round trip would be a fair price but their 27€ is too much. Another thing, coming from the old town you can buy a ticket at a small shop, don't buy it because they charge you €29 for a round trip. If you really want to buy, you can at the cable car ticket machine for 27€.

Great views, but at almost $30 US dollars I'm not sure that it's worth it. The ride is less than 5 minutes each way and the cabin is crowded and not air-conditioned, in times of COVID-19 this spells trouble. Some people are wearing masks, some are not, there is no enforcement of any covid protocols. There is a viewing platform on top of the mountain with a restaurant, a gift shop, and public bathrooms which are free. The whole experience takes about half an hour, unless you decide to eat at the incredibly overpriced restaurant.

We heard that riding the cable cars over Dubrovnik was a must when visiting Croatia and the views were indeed amazing. But you can get those at the viewpoint and they pack you in very tight so it was hard to see out.

A must if you like views and take photos. But here is a pro tip; 1. Go up there about 1 hour prior to sunset 2. Buy your ticket at the gate, no need to book, order or pre-pay to anyone 3. Buy a one way ticket 4. Walk down to get some spectacular photos of the scenic views (The pathway down is a zig zag stone trail that starts behind the old barracks, north of the radio tower. Hard to find because the city does not make money from you walking) Walking down is easy and comfortable for the most part. A few rocky places here, and it takes about 45 minutes down.

One of the best ways to get a full view of the old town and other parts of Dubrovnik is this cable car ride. Runs every 15 mins, take you to the top where you can view from the telescopic lens located at the top. You can even view the details of Lokrum island from there. The ride is short but smooth. View from the top is one of a kind. We had the bad luck of going on a windy day so couldn’t stay up there for too long without things getting blown away. But totally worth the experience.

A must if you are visiting Dubrovnik. It’s not cheap €30 return per adult. But so worth it. Buy the tickets directly not via one of the many agencies as it’s cheaper. We went at twilight for some amazing sunset views. Worth highly recommend

One way to take a cable car is okay but including return, it costs more. We took this to go up to the top and we walked on the hiking trail to come back to the town. The view from the top is amazing so you should go with this or hiking. You will be amazed with the sunset as well.

Fast, easy way to view the coastline of Dubrovnik. Plenty to do and see atop the mountain. make sure to get your tickets ahead of your visit or enjoy a guided tour of area. ( we used VIATOR and had a great guide w/approx. 15 total people. MORE Local Information this way. On our visit we had one day, The tour was lots & lots of walking. Be prepared !

Amazing views - must stay for the sunset! Great view of the mountains and obviously the waterfront and old town. Went in the off season and there were probably 5 other people in the 2 hours we were up there

Very nice view and great to watch the sun set! There are some restaurants/bars up there. They are very busy even in low season, so I would suggest to make a reservation upfront.

One-way ticket is around 12 eur. Which I can say it worth. If we have to compare with the aquarium - yes, the cable car price is definitely worth.

It's a one in a lifetime activity for the city, a must I could say, with breathtaking view from the top of the hill and during the uphill - downhill journey. The only negative part is the very high pricing policy, with neither reasonable graduation, nor family tickets options (from 7€/up to 12y they charge 27€/12+y).

Beautiful scenery and views. Especially during the sunset. It seems a bit pricey, but absolutely worth the ride to see the city from the top. It is possible to take ticket to get to the top and walk form there while looking at beautiful places.

Good experience. Reasonable price for a return journey. Worth the return journey in the hot weather. You get stunning views of the whole of the old town and surrounding areas. Really the best views of the whole city and the cable car is a pleasant little journey. I would recommend it to all visitors to Dubrovnik.

    Wonderfull view!

  • 4/5 Jonathan B. 1 year ago on Google
It's okay - good view but quite pricey. Preferred walking the city walls and lokrum island to this, considering they're roughly the same price.

Fantastic and entertaining, the museum at to top consist of rare photographs and documents revealing the unwanted war faced at Dubrovnik. I enjoyed the scintillating views and cup of hot chocolate. it's advisable to go there either in early morning or late afternoon.

Great little ride up the mountain. Wasn't aware you could walk up or down, but on the hot day we went we were happy for the ride. And free WiFi

Great view from the top! Bit expensive ride, round trip 200kuna for one person and ride with cable car its like 5min maybe. There was line of people waiting however it goes pretty fast.

You can enjoy the panoramic view of Dubrovnik city. You need to be careful if you drive.

  • 5/5 Mailene M. 1 year ago on Google
Must do experiences while visiting Dubrovnik. The views of the city looks stunning from the cable car and the look out points on top of the hill. Recommend to do the ride just before sunset so you can get a gorgeous sunset view as well. The cars come every few minutes, well timed. I saw a lady cleaning the handrails and the glass of the cable car before they let the passengers in so good job!

Worth a visit take the cable car up, have a drink and a look around

  • 5/5 MaryJon H. 1 year ago on Google
Only a short wait not crammed in the car. Fantastic views. Scenery on the way up and at the top. Museum at the summit well worth the admission. Great way to spend a morning on a sunny day.

  • 5/5 gl z. 4 years ago on Google
Reasonable wait time for an early evening visit. Almost everyone clammers to get to the best viewing window when the car boards😳
