The property was stunning. Staff were all so friendly and helpful. Spa was gorgeous. Amenities were plentiful. We ate at 3 restaurants, had a superb breakfast, used the jet skis, enjoyed the spa and the pools. Used the transfers for ease. Didnt have enough numbers for the shuttle boat but used the bus instead. Will 100% return.

Had the most amazing and memorable (got engaged here!) time at Sun Gardens. Most friendly and accommodating staff, bringing the warmest welcome in Dubrovnik. They made everything easier for us (early check-in and the earliest of check-outs at 4:30AM). Food was incredible too, breakfast buffet had everything for everyone. Beach and pools are well-maintained and drinks can be easily ordered thru QR codes from where you're sitting. Super romantic and dreamy place to spend with people you love, hope to come back here soon!

By far the nicest hotel we have stayed in recent times. Amazing view from perfect rooms, great beach and very nice facilities. And the best is, every morning the best omelet gets prepared my Bianca. The best start in the day.

Our 3 generations of 5 family members stayed a week in The Villa - the only 5 bedroom villa in the complex. The resort is vast and you really need to be pretty fit and able to get around - I am not! We used the buggy service a few times, but they kept us waiting over an hour for one booking so we gave up. We paid an awful lot of money for the villa, and the magic words in the description "two separate entrances for each floor" were not really evident until we got there. It is literally an external staircase to the upper 3 bedrooms - there is no photo shown of this. The staircase faces the pasta restaurant so you are in full view of the diners there when accessing the bedrooms. First thing in the morning I came down to be met by a truck load of gardeners. It really did detract for us. The villa is very nice indeed, but there is no wow factor. The kitchen is beautifully fitted out, the sitting room is awful and we never used it. Brown furniture! Gardens are lovely, and the pool is superb. The safe in my room was on the floor, and the power points also needed kneeling to reach. Such details are basic surely? The concrete steps approaching the villa are lethal and wouldn't be allowed by UK Health & Safety. They are crumbling, desperately uneven and the light doesn't come on until too late so we had to use the mobile torch. The staff without exception were superb and a credit to the hotel. The restaurants were ferociously expensive (by central London standards) so it's not value for money. Be warned, there was *nothing* awaiting us when we arrived, not an ice cube or milk for a cuppa. Apparently the welcome goodies had been forgotten, but they more than made up for it after 3 days when we mentioned it, but it left a sour taste. Room service for a box of milk? We did have a lovely holiday, but felt it was not value for money at all. We would not return.

Absolutely amazing hotel. Just out of the craziness of Dubrovnik. The staff is superb and will help you with any issues and booking tours. Everything they booked was phenomenal. You can also take a car to old town which is 35euro and less than the Ubers in the area.

Sun Gardens Resort in Dubrovnik is a mesmerizing oasis that exceeded my expectations. With breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea, the location is simply stunning. The spacious and elegantly furnished rooms provide a luxurious retreat. The resort offers diverse dining options, serving delectable cuisine from around the world. The wellness facilities, including a spa and fitness center, are exceptional.

This resort was the perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. We stayed in the residences and at first we thought it would be too far but we actually preferred it. The spa is included for hotel guests (not the treatments but the rooms and pools). The 4 pools were always busy and people really enjoyed. We personally loved being down by the beach. *Bring water shoes because the beach is pebbles and that can be painful to walk on*. We had a celebration and shared it with the concierge team - they did not disappoint! The travel agency with the hotel charges 14€ each way per person to Dubrovnik by shuttle bus or by boat. The boat option is really cool but requires 6 people to go so don't always depend on it. The only con of the hotel is the ants in the rooms. The little supermarket on site sells Raid (ant spray) so it's a demand. Don't leave any food out or it will be covered in ants. Another con that isn't related to the hotel is when you're walking on the promenade the folks working at the restaurants will try to sell you on their restaurant so if you have a plan or you're not hungry, walk with purpose.

Hotel was awesome! Staff are very kind, friendly and helpful. The rooms with sea view in the residences are comfortable and have a very nice view. The boat ride to the islands is quite expensive but was truly a different experience. We did it on a bad weather day, so the ride was VERY choppy. Still a cool plan. Would stay here again.

The resort is spectacular. However, it is out of the center. It is serenity, but to leave the place, one needs to take a taxi which costs at least €35 each way. Even for the excursion, this needs to be added with the cost. Nonetheless, the staff are really polite, speak very good English. Room house keeping is the best. Big thanks to the tall house keeping lady and the tea lady in the Club Lounge. Breakfast is top class. Highly recommended to all those who like to relax and stay at the hotel

Me and my wife enjoy the hotel. For sport activities it is more than enough. Well equip gym they have. Restaurant and beach facilities really good. House keeping has to improve in general. We had no specific complain but general house keeping like cleaning could be better. Good and quiet location (Orasač).

The hotel and all facilities are great. We were staying in villas with sea view which was astonishing. We liked very much our 5days staying in this hotel /resort ,enjoying playing all sports and excellent service, food, room and everything. It is highly recommendable. It really deserves 5*. Thank you. Best!

It is amazing hotel with amazing facilities. There are many things to do with multiple pools, spa area, gym, sport area etc. I arranged it for my cousin’s birthday and she definitely loved it. Hotel staff is also kind, and attentive. Breakfast has variety of choices. I was surprised to see people complaining about location as it is clear on the map it is far away from the old town (15-20 mins) :) Hoping to be back next year too!

Lovely hotel, nice friendly staff, stunning scenery. Breakfast was a delight every morning. Only downside was 3 of the 5 restaurants on the complex were poor. 'The Market' seafood restaurant was horrible, and we were given a refund by the hotel when we checked out. Would definitely return.

A great hotel with serviced apartments. Lots of pools and little beaches. Boats and paddleboards available on site. Options for vegetarians and kids across the restaurants was limited but food was generally good!

We stayed 7 nights in the resort with my husband. The staff was very helpful and lovely (5 starts for that) and amazing views from the room. But I would say that the restaurants inside the resort are expensive (in addition, it didn’t have the quality enough) and don’t have that many options to offer. Regarding the room, we have a bathtub in the middle of it, which is super cool! But it was too high (I’m 1,60 mts) so it turned up being dangerous for me, I got a bruise trying to get out of it. Then, the room cleaning was not so good, the sheets haven’t been changed in our entire stay.

Fantastic resort with excellent staff and service. Kids well catered for and themed evenings kept everyone entertained. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. We stayed in the hotel which is very accessible. The residences have a lot of steps up to them and down to the pool and beach. I really liked the in-house app to book restaurants, clubs and to find daily information. Looking forward to returning soon.

Sun Gardens is a wonderful place to stay in Dubrovnik. The rooms are nice, staff are very kind and helpful, and the amenities (spa, pools, restaurants and one of the best beaches we have seen) are perfect. We had one mix-up when booking a VIP package so I would just make a note to know exactly what is included in the package you book so that you aren’t accidentally ordering more or asking for extras that will cost extra. Other than that, would highly recommend!!

The hotel has amazing views from the rooms, although not from every room. The food was great - Cilanntro had a truly amazing seafood. A couple of quick notes - the hotel has access to a small shingle beach, and you need to take care to wear proper footwear to help you walk. Visited May 2014

Really enjoyed my stay at Sun Gardens. It is set in a beautiful location with great views. The hotel was very clean and the room had everything I needed. Breakfast was particularly good with a huge range of options to suit any taste.

Dubrovnik is a beautiful place with a lot of history. Sun Gardens is an amazing resort with all the facilities you need. The rooms and residences are very spacious and clean. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There are several pools, access to the beach and the marina and multiple restaurants. Would recommend a holiday here again.

Great stay. Enjoyed this resort a lot more than expected (don’t usually love massive hotels). We visited during the shoulder season and it was quite and peaceful. Booked with FHR and got upgraded to a suite which was awesome - huge comfortable room. It’s a 20 minute drive from town. Around 20$ for an Uber in October 2023. Only letdown was the restaurants on site. They charge fine dining prices but food is not great. Veranda 2.0 was the nicest and I’d give it 3.5/5. La Pasta was 2/5 and Butchers Grill was 3/5.

Lovely hotel. Massive grounds. Wonderful facilities. Breakfast is awesome. Only negative is the cost of meals which are stupidly expensive. Highly recommended if you have a car and are willing to travel for an evening bit to eat.

Got an end of season package trip bargain and wasn't disappointed. Lovely room and great facilities. Loved the breakfast. Only drawback is that it's a bit isolated. 25 min drive to Dubrovnik

That is 10 out of 10 place. High quality service in everything, starting with reception, breakfast, restaurants or swimming training. There are 2 options for fitness, in door swimming pool, of course there are many outdoors. Many sports options for kids - football, swimming courses. We had a big apartment with kitchen, and it was a luxury experience. The breakfast was just excellent. We tried also octopus in one of the restaurants and it was very delicious. The area is just very big with many places to relax. It is located 20 minutes away from Dubrovnik old town. So no doubt, my recommendation!!!

What an absolute amazing property! We throughly enjoyed our stay. Our room had views of the Adriatic Sea that were breathtaking. The beach area was a joy to have with swimming in the ocean. An added plus was the daily motorboat excursion to the Dubrovnik Old City Harbor. Looking forward to returning for sure.

Everyone was friendly. We felt welcomed the moment we arrived at Sun Gardens. Staff looked smart in their uniforms. Everything that we need to know about our stay was thoroughly explained during check in. Highly recommend to anyone planning to visit Dubrovnik. This is the place to stay.

Absolutely phenomenal in every conceivable way. The only slightly negative thing we’d say is that, while the food is pretty good, you do get better food offsite, like in the old town. Everything else — the room, the pools, the beach access, the spa, service, the holiday feeling — were stupendous! Make Sun Gardens your resort of choice without hesitation!

  • 5/5 Shashir R. 1 year ago on Google
Great experience! Sun Gardens is the perfect resort to enjoy a family trip to Dubrovnik. The staff can help arrange plenty of family-friendly/kid-friendly activities (visit islands, visits to Old Town, etc.). I recommend not having a car and just using the airport transfer service with the resort. You can rely entirely on the transportation system arranged by Sun Gardens.

I was really excited to stay at this place as it's endorsed by American Express so I was sure it would be amazing. I was very disappointed by a few things. First, the room and the view was amazing that's why I gave it 2 starts. However, apart from that few other things were. To me, food is really important and this resort did not have good, decent food. The worst was the breakfast buffet. The first morning we arrived and were seated to a dirty table, when I pointed this out the hostess made a face and gave us attitude that she had to clean it. The breakfast buffet repeated the same foods every morning. Everything is sitting under heated lamps and looks dry and old. I've had better in 4 star Dominican Republic buffets. When you sit outside, there are countless wasps flying around and trying to get in your food. Also, you had to wait forever for someone to come and ask if you would like fresh coffee that's not from the machine. When you ask the waiter or waitress, they look annoyed like you are bothering them and they are too busy to serve you. This brings me to my second point, I found the staff working at the bars and restaurants to be quite rude and with an attitude. Very different then in other hotels which make you feel very welcome, I did not get this feeling here. And lastly, the resort is super expensive. We paid 20 euros for a very mediocre pasta, everything is way too expensive. I wouldn't mind paying if the food was really good but it wasn't. Very disappointed and I would not go back simply because of the poor food quality, not only in the breakfast buffet but in other restaurant also. For example, we ordered a seafood grill at the seafood restaurant and the mussels were not cleaned property (still had green algae attached to it) and were not even opened properly to eat them. The fish was over salted and disgusting. Extremely disappointing considering we are by the sea. I barely touched it and had to have pizza after. Overall, a disappointing experience because of the food and the staff. Hotel room and view was very nice.

Great place. Very kind staff and the hotel is spotless. The only minus for me is the beach with nasty pebbles but I am blaming that on me for not getting some swimming shoes. Water is clear and the place is serene. All reccomendations

Nice hotel ! Specially the apartments zone, our room was big and comfortable! Loved the landacape and the beach 😍 Only minor things to note: Restaurants are expensive, and in the mornings you have no alternative than to take the hotel buffet for breakfast, since all other restaurants are closed.

What a nice place!!! Just along the beach!! 3 big swimming pools, activities for kids, very spacious and clean rooms, the spa is exceptional!!! The only disadvantage is that is not so close to the city but is value for money!!!

If your not a guest go to the reception get a ticket for the barrier then park in the garage for free. Have a beautiful walk through the gardens to the restaurant enjoy your food in stunning surroundings then walk back asking the beach. 💚

The room and hotel in general were super comfortable! I loved the idea that you can access your wardrobe both from the hall and bathroom. The territory is huge and beautiful. You can smell all the trees and flowers blooming. The sea is clean, lovely and of beautiful shades of blue.

Have stayed here a couple of times, service is constantly good, great location and grounds with excellent spa and sports facilities. The residences are a good size, but could do with a little bit more cutlery/plates, we had sets of 4 items (e.g. 4 forks, glasses or plates) in a one bedroom apartment. The restaurants on the grounds have a good selection of food There is also a very good kids club

It is a really good place. The rooms had a beutiful view. Just like in the video. The breakfast was amazing. They made you omlett that was fresh. There were bakery products , cheese , fruits and veggies, and ham. Plus they asked you were do you want to sit and they also asked what do you want to drink. And on the beach you can also order food and they will bring it to you (It is plus money). this food also were amazing. They were so kind. I hope you will love this place too.

n Gardens Dubrovnik: Exceptional Luxury Write me a review of Sun Gardens Dubrovnik in Dubrovnik ChatGPT Title: A Luxurious Oasis in Dubrovnik: Sun Gardens Dubrovnik Review Rating: ★★★★★ I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sun Gardens Dubrovnik, and I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations. Nestled along the picturesque Adriatic coast, this luxurious resort offers a perfect blend of elegance, comfort, and natural beauty. From the moment I arrived until the day of departure, every aspect of my stay was nothing short of exceptional. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who provided a seamless check-in process. The reception area was beautifully designed, with modern decor and a soothing ambiance. The staff members were attentive, professional, and went out of their way to ensure that all my needs were met throughout my stay. The accommodation options at Sun Gardens Dubrovnik are varied, but regardless of your choice, you can expect spacious and tastefully decorated rooms. I stayed in a deluxe sea view room, which offered breathtaking vistas of the Adriatic Sea. The room itself was impeccably clean, well-appointed, and featured all the modern amenities one would expect from a five-star resort. The comfortable bed, luxurious bathroom, and the private balcony added an extra touch of indulgence to my stay.

Big and modern Hotel in a beautiful region, about 40 min. from Dubrovinik by car. The hotel organizes transfers from/to the airport (at an extra cost) and also excursions to other parts of the region by boat or by van. Jet Ski or car rental are also possible at the hotel. It has 3 different pools (1 just for adults) and access to the beach. The rooms are beautifully decorated, very modern and clean and the views of the ocean are breathtaking. Breakfast is also good. Dinner is overpriced and you can eat better in the cities of Ston, Cavtat or Zaton (the 2 first are REALLY worthy a visit, so rent a car and explore around). What I missed a little bit was the "friendly culture" overall. This should be something that the employees should be trained for: be ALWAYS friendly, always greet the guests with a smile in their faces, a 5 star hotel is also 5 stars because of its team and at the hotel I did not feel always welcome. In the hotel Bar, at the restaurant for breakfast and at the pool and Spa all staff members were very nice and friendly, also the cleaning ladies were friendly and would always greet us with a smile. In the reception unfortunately you sometimes come out of the lift in the morning and some workers are talking to each other or with their mobiles in their hands 😱 They watch you and go back to what they are doing without saying a word. But in general we are happy and satisfied with our stay, we even got an earlier check in (at 11 am, although check-in is just at 4pm, thank you so much!) and a small welcome gift from the concierge. Another small suggestion: the carpets on the hallways are really old fashion and do not match to the modern style of the hotel, they should be replaced ASAP by wood floors(like in the rooms), for example. Bring water shoes: the amazing beaches in the region are not sandy beaches and have lotsssss of stones, also the private beach at the hotel.

The hotel is beautiful, great food and service. The spa centre is perfect, swimming pools, saunas, jacuzzi... The beach is great, although not opened yet officially, the stuff made sure we are comfortable and we have everything we need. Recommend.

What to say. Amazing resort hotel. Expensive but worth it. They gifted me a cake on my bday! The seaside is amazing, loads of pools. Not a crowded resort hotel. Restaurants inside the complex were really good too. I would highly recommend.

Honestly this hotel was even better than I expected. At first I thought it was expensive, but it is 100% worth it. In response to some of the comments below - yes, food is expensive but it's actually very similar pricing (and better quality) to that in the city centre. And I used Uber to get to / from everywhere so it was only about £15 - 18 to the city centre from the hotel. Plus, there is a shuttle you can book ahead of time which is only about £5 a way. Everything is luxury - massive, modern rooms and a huge, comfortable bed with blackout curtains and AC. I slept so well! Plus, there is a little grocery store on site so you can buy snacks, drinks, ice cream and other foods at a really reasonable price. The wifi was awesome and super fast - I was able to work on teams and run other programs at the same time with no issues - and it worked throughout the resort (even the pool). On checkout, I was able to leave my luggage and still enjoy the pool for the day and then take a shower in the spa before leaving. The adult pool is awesome - so quiet and relaxing, and lots of sun beds that overlook the ocean. Totally stunning views and a buffet breakfast with anything you could want. I ate at three of the restaurants and Veranda was by far my favourite (incredible food & family run). The hotel staff were so friendly, they made my stay perfect and I appreciated all the little details. I absolutely loved my stay, I had the best time.
