Beautifully hidden in the backyard to chill out. Surrounded by large trees and old locomotives. Very friendly people in a quiet, super cozy atmosphere. We recommend. Entrance to the museum costs €1.50.

Eintrittspreise so super.

Very nice to see from around 1900 to 1980. Prices very cheap at €1.50 per person. Not barrier-free on the first floor. Otherwise great distribution. Anyone in the area should take a look. Suitable for children aged 8 and over.

(Translated by Google) It was a very nice and instructive visit! If you want to know something about the past of Herne and the past itself. Then this is the right place. The building itself is an old school, which was built around 1900. Today it serves as a museum and houses many old treasures and pictures from the past. Will definitely visit again at some point.

Really interesting! It's a journey back in time. From the imperial era to our time. Included highs and lows of our history. I'm always amazed that you can still carry so many things together. The period of the 60s and 70s was particularly impressive, just my youth. Many things not only looked familiar to me, but I could also call them my own 😉! Very neat and clean. If you are interested in history and especially in history from our area, you have come to the right place! I didn't see an elevator to the upper area. The lower area is at least barrier-free. I can recommend it!!! 3€ that was really worth it!

It was wonderful weather in a welcoming place. I was there for the first time. The preserved nostalgia of the wagons in a shadow and play of light carried by the sun ensured peace and well-being. A simple restaurant with something to eat and bottled beer was perfect for me at that time. I would definitely like to do a bike tour and take a break there again.

(Translated by Google) On the trail of the past. Well worth seeing, lovingly decorated museum. Memories are awakened. For the younger generation, an insight into the times without social media. In the outside area you can see old wagons and an old "booth". Definitely worth a visit. (Original) Auf den Spuren der Vergangenheit. Sehr sehenswertes, liebevoll eigerichtetes Museum.

Really great, such a trip into the past and being able to marvel at many things from his childhood in the museum 😂 I really enjoyed strolling through the different rooms and marveling at the lovingly collected things. The cheap entry price of just €1.50👍 is also great

Our Fritz is a small museum that constantly revives buried memories for visitors. The exhibits are not breathtaking, but are mostly everyday objects from the last 100 years that are hardly used today. You constantly experience aha moments: “my grandma had that in the kitchen too”.

Great little museum like a little trip back in time. With a small snack for currywurst, coffee cake, various drinks and friendly service.

A museum that would actually be of great interest to older people, but unfortunately they cannot go to the second floor because there is no elevator. We chose this place as a destination because the day care guests wanted to have a look around. Of course there were difficulties getting to the second floor with the walker. A pity.

The local museum “Our Fritz” is a museum you can participate in. Guests become part of the exhibition themselves and immerse themselves deeply in the living conditions in the Ruhr and Emscher in the years from 1890 to 1980. The new permanent exhibition “Herzkammer” brings the history of Herne and Wanne-Eickel to life and focuses on ordinary people in everyday situations. Of course, local treasures such as the golden record by Jürgen von Manger and other unique pieces also impress. The “Fortuna-Bude”, one of the oldest drinking halls in the area, if not the oldest, awaits you outside as a real gem. (Photos: CC-BY-SA | OLFF APPOLD, Ruhr Tourismus GmbH)

(Translated by Google) The museum was really good. You could learn a lot about the Ruhr area and its history. Also how people used to live.

(Translated by Google) Lovingly designed local museum with many exhibits from Herne and from different times. Good pedagogy and intelligently put together. In addition, the oldest seltzer booth in Germany. And there is a great cafe in the museum garden. (Translated by Google) Many, very many, exhibits from the 50s to 70s in the Ruhr area. Well kept and very nice to look at. Lots of deja vus ... The fully functional jukebox from the 60s alone is worth the € 1.50 (!) Entry. Very entertaining and informative. And then eat a delicious (!) Manta bowl on the premises between all the old locomotives at the "Fritzchen". A visit is definitely worth it! Manta-Schale essen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich unbedingt!

(Translated by Google) We only discovered this small but absolutely worth seeing museum by accident. We were surprised at the low entrance fee of €1.50. There is the possibility to throw coins into a donation machine. Hopefully many guests will make use of it. There is a cute outdoor café in the garden. There are waffles, currywurst and co. served by a super nice team. Among other things, you can sit in a discarded locomotive. Really great! We'd love to come back!

Sollte man mal besuchen.
