Our second time visiting Fitgers Brew House. Wild rice burgers are where it's at. Really flavorful and an interesting departure from a standard burger. Definitely something to try if you are visiting or new to the area. Service was great both times. First time we visited several weeks ago. It was crazy packed as it's gotten colder definitely much less crowded. If you are stopping by when it's warm, highly recommend reservations. Great selection of seasonal beers and ciders. If wild rice burgers weren't so good, I might actually try something else on the menu, but keep coming back for that.

When we arrived the place was jam packed, there was a wait of about 25 minutes which wasn’t a problem since you can wander the shops while you wait! The location was excellent. The hostess didn’t seem like she wanted to be there and didn’t even greet us when we walked up to the stand, she just stared at me until I said “2 please.” The food was moderate, we ordered the pretzels with cheese dip, the French onion burger and the smoked fish wrap. The best thing we had there were the beer pattered fries. The burger patty was dry and hadn’t been seasoned at all. The toppings were very good, but they couldn’t overcome a dry unseasoned patty. The fish wrap was about 75% lettuce. The flavor was fine, but not exceptional. We also ordered a glass of Merlot and the sock hop sour. The wine was a very small pour for $8, and the glass came out wet with water on the outside, like it had just been pulled from the dish washer and no one bothered to dry it before it came out. The sour was great with notes of guava and maybe grapefruit? The server never removed our plates from our appetizer and we had a small table so it got very crowded. Perhaps the most irritating thing about the visit was that the tab was $68 and had a 5% gratuity added, for only 2 people?!? Glad I read the receipt before leaving my tip. I wouldn’t recommend a visit here.

The burgers are char broiled, a nice change from griddled smash burgers and rubber patty bar burgers. The beer battered fries put a smile on my face because these don’t usually end up being my jam. Had a bite of my partners wild rice burger too. If veggie burgers suit you, this one fits nicely. However, they use an egg as a binder. Everything was enjoyable and I will continue to come here over other spots. It’s my second visit and I can safely say it’s reliable, consistent, and a great place to visit if you’re in Duluth. Additionally, the building is dog friendly, the beer is good, and there are a few delightful shops in this historic gem including a high end coffee shop, market, and outdoor shop.

Really good craft beers on tap (love the Starfire) and they're homemade. Black and blue burger was great. Good service. Free parking validation for the ramp. Plenty of tables and just a cool place to relax and have a couple of beers and a nice bite.

An amazing set up here with a great restaurant lots of beer, a coffee shop, bookstore, and all kinds of little shops to look around. They're burger and salmon burger were both delicious. But the best was the beer! We got 3 flights and picked our favorite in 2 growlers to go. Also the cannabis drink a can of chill (cannachill). Love it all! We'll come back anytime we're nearby!

Small town atmosphere. Lots of Hand Crafted beers! Apricot Wheat and Golden Lighthouse were a favorite. Unique twists to typical sandwiches. All very good. For example: Turkey Reuben which can also be called a Rachel came with a cranberry sauce - excellent! Mushroom/Swiss burger came with a sauce that had a twist to it.

Food was delish and I loved the vibes of the building. The photos do not do the food justice and to be honest, we started eating before the pics were taken. The southwest burger was heavenly and the poutine was a crowd favorite. Good beer selection and food selection.

Great food in a nice eclectic setting. Nice variety of beers but too many IPAs were offered when we visited. The black and blue burger was excellent. Try the onion rings with the horseradish sauce. Nice casual ambience with good service. There was an unusual habanero beer which was quite spicy.

Fitger's Brewhouse feels like a Duluth institution. The history of the building is very cool. I was luke warm on the beer. I'm a hazy NE IPA girl. The beer was good but not 5 star good. My black and blue burger was delicious. I enjoyed the divey atmosphere inside. All in all definitely worth a visit.

I enjoyed the food here. The server was nice, friendly and attentive. Never had to flag her down to get something, she was always in the vicinity checking her tables. I ordered the poutine burger. Burger was juicy, gravy was good, cheese curds excellent. It was more like an open faced sandwich, ate it with a fork and knife as it was covered in gravy. Fries were a little too crispy for me, but still had a good flavor to them. They do brew their own beers, which unfortunately I did not try. Good place to grab a bite to eat with friends.

Best cheese curds in our life. Delicious food. Great service. Awesome ambiance inside. It is a pretty nifty building to walk around and take in all the history. Learning about the life of that building was a highlight of our trip. Come eat here. Definitely get cheese curds and the root beer!

Minnesota delicacy Wild Rice Burgers. They are fabulous here. Great beer selection. The fries are crispy and piping hot. We will continue to come back!

We really enjoy the ambiance of Fitger's. The beer was delicious, we had the bock and the Wildfire lager, which really is hot. If peppers are your thing try it. The food was equally yummy.

I taught a course in Duluth and wanted to try local cuisine. The rental car company suggested Fitger’s Brewhouse. It was just what I was looking for. The waitress was super friendly (sorry, forgot her name) and recommend the wild rice burger. That sounded like a local Minnesota thing so I had to try it—with fresh jalapeños and a flight of beer. Rice Burger was very good and the beer was as well. Loves the two stouts. The sour was SOUR, like biting a fresh lemon. They even had a spicy beer. Decor was super cool. I’d certainly it eat here again.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing experience here. The food was incredible and the service was even better. My boyfriend got the elk burger which he absolutely loves and I got the fish was super good. Our server Riley C. Made our experience the best it could be. We will definitely be back!

We stopped here on a recommendation. Parking can be tough at times. We were disappointed with the vegan only chili option. Wish they had regular chili. Other than that, it was a great place to visit. The onion rings were delicious, the beer list is very nice and varied. The fig burger was delicious as well. The 1 standout dish that we would go back for is the elite dip! That is just different, but so good. There’s better fig burgers out there, but again, that Elote dip has a nice tasty spice!

It’s been a long time (years) since we’ve been to Brewhouse but all the things we love are still there! The food has never disappointed and the beers are great. One of my favorite meals is an olive burger, and Brewhouse has one of the best I’ve ever had, but I decided to branch out and had “The Three Little Pigs”. It was definitely worth the risk! My wife’s absolute favorite is the vegan chili. The staple beers like the Apricot Wheat are obviously well done and always consistent, but I’m usually more excited about their seasonal rotations.

Now *this* is a brewhouse. After a long drive moving to MN from FL, we needed someplace low-key with good drinks and yummy food to soothe our car-weary souls. This place was exactly what we needed. Jasmine, our server, was friendly and wonderful. I highly recommend both the caramel delight beer (served with a girl scout cookie!) as well as the beer flight. The fish and chips were fabulous, moist and delicious. I look forward to coming here as often as my schedule and budget will allow. (And speaking of budgets, the prices were not bad at all! Very surprising, in fact. Two kids meals, two adult meals, two beers and a flight of beers plus two root beers, $101 after tip. I was shocked. Worth every penny!)

The food was great! Beer was just okay. The atmosphere was a mix. I think it could have had a cool vibe, but there were small children screaming shrilly most of the time we were there. And we were there a long time because service was so slow. Staff looked exhausted and utterly defeated.

There were a lot of GF and vegetarian options which was nice to see. Many of the dishes had spicy ingredients like jalapeños. I had the Elk burger which was really good. Tables are very close together and not very covid friendly. Overall a nice restaurant down by all the local shops.

Despite being busy, our wait was about 15 minutes and we enjoyed a nice beer in the adjacent bar. Our server was friendly and attentive, and helped us pay our tab quickly when we told her we were in a time crunch. I ordered the Wild Rice burger out of curiosity and I loved it! The fresh pretzels were also outstanding, although the “spicy” cheese sauce was flavorful at most. Could have packed more of a punch. Overall a fun spot in a cool building overlooking the water!
