We ate here 12/30/22 and loved it so much we went back tonight! Every single staff we encountered were delightful. The food was amazing! They are the best when it comes to allergies and food sensitivities. This is a must see when coming to Duluth. Run, do not walk! ❤️❤️❤️

This place was named after a documentary on youtube is why I came, expecting interesting. The food was really good. Fries with truffle oil were amazing!! The vagan scallops were so tasty! The staff was short and haf one server and we got there at 6:25, and didn't get food until 7:45 which is when parking meter ran out since parking in front only allows for 80 minutes. We had to go put more money in during our long wait. Every took extra long, inclusing being noticed while standing at entrance and waiting for our drinks seemed to take 20 minutes. Its very posh and tasty but make sure you have the whole night to eat, if you are in a rush this is not the place to be.

The food was very good at the restaurant is located in a neat building. We ordered the pork belly as the starter, and I got the stuffed chicken for my main course. Both were delicious!

This was my first time ordering a drink at the bar and I had a really lovely experience. The Negroni I ordered was delicious and the bartenders were friendly. The space is really delightful to sit in and I love the adjacent communal lounge space and movie theater. Thank you for an excellent experience. I would be happy to meet up here again with friends for drinks and a movie.

Agatha served our private event in the upper meeting room and was an absolute delight. Guests loved the food and the service, thanks to Agatha, was impeccable. Additionally, Dennis is always a pleasure to work with when booking space at Zeitgeist. I highly recommend considering Zeitgeist for your next meeting or event. Thank you!

Excellent quality food. Prices are at the top end of what you'd expect from the Duluth market. Service was friendly. Cocktails were good and stiff. This restaurant has a lively atmosphere. Most of the seating is upstairs, although there are a few tables near the bar on the first floor.

What a cool place. Sat at the bar. Service was great but with a nice laid back attitude.

Absolutely amazing experience. Came in from the twin cities and happened upon this restaurant. Had the pork loin dinner, and it was out of this world with flavor. It was a perfect balance of textures and wasn’t too heavy at all. A welcoming place where you can be yourself. Will be recommending this to anyone I know visiting Duluth!

One of the only restaurants that would take reservations, especially under the two hour mark. Apparently the restaurants in Duluth that do take reservations require you to make them 2 hours in advance. We needed to make a reservation 1 hour in advance. So we ended up here and the food was very classy and very delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere was also nice. We heard from the locals at the menu changes often, but we enjoyed what we ordered

Really good food, great service. The place was busy so didn't get a great table- by the kitchen and kinda noisy. Otherwise a great little restaurant that helps support the arts in Duluth!

First time back since their reopening. Had the fries, spaghetti squash, and sausage and bean hotdish. Spaghetti squash was phenomenal, highly recommend. The flying Pegasus cocktail was our favorite as well. So excited they’re open again

Zeitgeist currently offers a selection of vegan appetizers, salads, soups, bowls, and sandwiches, but they did not have vegan entrees or desserts on the menu. The atmosphere is upscale and modern. However, it's worth noting that during our visit, they seemed to be experiencing a staffing shortage. Therefore, I would recommend making reservations in advance since there are limited tables available, and you might experience a longer wait for your meal. We ordered the vegan báhn mi, vegan ginger carrot soup, vegan scallops and vegan fried wild rice bowl. The presentation of all the dishes was quite appealing, and I must say, the vegan scallops were the best I've ever had - truly delicious! Overall, it was a pretty good experience, and I particularly enjoyed the lovely atmosphere.

The food was decent at this restaurant (i liked the hummus, cauliflower app but my daughter did not like her soup. Fries were good, not great). The reason I gave it 3 stars, tho, was I was very turned off by the additional 20% employee wellness charge!! This does not include your tip.

Waitress was unprofessional and was distracted by coworkers. The top area was “closed” despite other patrons being seated there, and the bar atmosphere was too loud to be enjoyable while dining. The food was mediocre and not worth the price. Skip this place and go elsewhere.

Was here for an event and only had a couple of beverages. The tap was pricey but the pour was good and the service was outstanding. Seriously the best I've experienced in a long while. Really appreciated the hospitality and down to earthness of this joint. Well done!

We had a group of 6 former restaurant folks from the cities visiting Duluth this weekend for the marathon. I had been recommended Zeitgeist by a friend, so we figured we would stop in have a drink and a few small plates before our dinner reservation at a different restaurant up the shoreline. The host/foh manager was very accommodating to us and couldn’t have been friendlier and that was true for our server Agatha as well. Once the soup, tart, mushrooms and caprese hit the table we canceled our other reservation and ordered everything off the small plate, entree and dessert menu. Each dish was clearly thought through, original, and handled with care by the chef and his crew gracefully. We had 16 dishes and each one was a hit, we even reordered an item which I personally have never done before. Cocktail list was fun, inventive and good n/a options as well. Best meal and dining experience I have had all year. Many thanks to the staff, you broke my dining out boredom!

Great service, huge portions, and really good food! We ordered a soup and a main each and were stuffed. Their wild rice and chicken and orange ginger carrot soups were hearty and fresh. The fish sandwich was so flavorful and came with the biggest side of fries. Bonus points for the great poster display outside the bathrooms. Definitely check it out!

We were big fans of the old Zeitgeist Restaurant and Bar so we wanted to give the new Zeitgeist Cafe a try. What a disappointment. Our enthusiasm for a return visit was heighten when we saw the French fries with truffle oil still on the menu. Our enthusiasm turned to dissatisfaction when they arrived limp and soggy. Our server brought a new serving without the truffle oil which wasn’t much better. Then our appetizer and entrees arrived. The pear tart was underwhelming. A small slice of pear in a burnt crust without an almond slice in sight. The highly recommended white fish was served on a luke warm bed of potatoes, carrots, and cauliflower. The open-faced chicken sandwich was okay, but nothing special. Given how small is the menu, one would expect all the entrees to be delicious. We hope our review will lead to improvements as we want to see this restaurant thrive. But they have work to do to regain our patronage.

Great atmosphere, and it's always cool to see a business supporting the local arts scene. The mushroom carpaccio and bread pudding were fantastic, and the gnocchi weren't gnocchi by any reasonable definition but still tasted good. The only disappointment was the grilled cheese (don't judge, it sounded good), which looked on par with something you might get at a school cafeteria. It also seemed like they were a bit short on staff, but our waiter was super friendly and made it work.

Appreciated the vegan options on the menu. Beautiful space. The wine list was a miss.
