During this pandemic time, Flash has turn its rooftop space to a sit down place for Electronic music lover. Reservation is required for seats with 90 mins time limited. Same regulation of wearing mask, remain seated etc. are applied. Sandwiches menu are added along with drink menu. It seems like drinks were customized for fall season, we tried all the cocktails on the menu but only 2 we like( don’t remember the name.) It was ok, we were happy to help support the place and at the end of the night, we ordered our favorite drinks out of menu instead. The staff are super nice and attentive, ask them question regarding to the venue if you want to know more. The merchandise downstairs is for purchase helping support the place. Ask staff for the website or if you have problem access it like I did, they accept cash. They said they might open for brunch with live DJ on set. If we all keep supporting this business, I’m sure we will get to have one of the coolest brunch place in DC soon. Review as of 09/2020

charged my card double and they have a dumb no photo policy. they were crying about selfies. it’s not like this place is some legendary, uber exclusive, class spot. bartenders can only make basic cocktails, so that should have told me enough. hated it!

My friend was assaulted here and the response from security was that my friend needed to calm down and that the man in question who admitted to doing so could remain there and they would watch him just in case he did it again. Just so everyone knows they type of predators who get protected here, looks like here you only get thrown out once the assault 2 people but 1 is ok. Be safe everyone. What an embarrassment

As a guy into niche techno and house artists, Flash is one of my favorite places to go. If you like resident DJs you usually only see in Germany, Flash is the place to go. If that’s really not your thing, then maybe not. Also if you’re into taking pictures or videos, probably the same. Flash adheres to the techno customs of no phones. Great prices on drinks. Sometimes randoms can wander in at the end of a Friday or Saturday night, but great crowd otherwise. If you can ever swing a weeknight show, those are the best crowds ever.

This club goes to great lengths to maintain a certain feel and environment. The music is always good. The sound system is amazing. The layout is pretty sweet as well. 3 floors all of them good. Some people are really put off by their no photography or video policy, but frankly its a really easy policy to fallow and if you need your phone to enjoy the music why are you in a club? Pay the cover. Buy a drink. Watch the show. Dance. Talk to cool people, maybe get lucky and fallow the rules and you will have a blast.

One of the best clubs around this area. Sound system sounds great, always got good music going on, and the rooftop bar is really cool! Only thing I can think of that people might not like is that there is no screens in the place. Only lights so that's means no visuals. If your in need of some good drinks, good music, and a great sound system then flash is the place for you!

Over sold tickets resulting in overwhelmingly long wait times (~2 hours as of now). If inside is over capacity, just say that! If 100+ people are in line, open communication would be rather human 🫶😤

Best spot in DC! The lights and sound are awesome, the rooftop is a great place to relax a bit, and the DJs are really talented. It also always smells good in there. The crowd is also super friendly and the “no phones” rule really adds to the atmosphere. Be sure to buy your ticket online a few days ahead of time. Entry is usually $10 if you buy in advance but $20-$30 if you buy at the door.

Came here all the way from NYC to see one of my favorite DJ's Mala. Absolutely worth it! He had an amazing at ofcourse, but what really stood out was the sound system it was perfect! Not too loud, not too low, perfect function one sound system. Highly recommend this place. The main room wasn't too big. The bar staff were fast and efficient, other staff was chill as well.

This places sound system is amazing. On Sundays there is something called “Sunday love” which is a Sunday day party. This includes a market place, a fee between 10-30 dollars at the door, usually a pretty good house music dj, and a wellness section that usually happens (such as a sound bath, meditation, or yoga) from 3-4 pm. That part is free so if you go there at 3pm on a Sunday it is free. I have been going here for years and it’s probably my favorite place to go in dc.

1 star is way too much. i had a table reserved and even checked in with the club the same day for the validity of our reservation and was told everything was okay. Despite all that though, we had to wait 1 hour in the rain only to be told there’s another line inside and the actual club was full inside. I had tried to contact the store prior to tell them we are waiting outside with our reservation but to no avail as it was never picked up. Over all terrible experience

Very cool, underground-style club. Three levels of different styles of house and techno music. The theme is "no-flash", meaning they discourage the use of cameras or even phones (just go with it; it's actually fun not being glued to your phone).

Favorite spot in DC. Feels like a house/techno club ripped out of Europe and placed in DC. Three levels, with world class djs on each level. Top has a rooftop which is a perfect place to relax or take a break from dancing. Staff is extremely friendly and the no phones policy may seem annoying but really adds to the atmosphere. Buy tickets in advance online to save money.

Format on Saturday night for all three levels had remixes of tracks from the 1990s which had the sounds of being in a venue where one was hearing Top 40 commercial house music from a quarter century ago. So it might be preferable to go on a weeknight where the format is not commercial and not dated from decades ago. It could also now be the case that they are trying to cater on Saturday nights to a very mainstream crowd who wants to hear radio edits with an ever so slight club remix and tracks which they are already familiar with having heard from a very long time ago.

This is a hardcore EDM club. They have the rooftop, second floor and ground floor. The night I was there, all three areas had different DJ’s. You have to buy tickets on the website to get it - reasonably priced. Very decent crowd. The manager is Boris and he is awesome! Please visit and you will love it.

Easily one of the best discotecas in DC. Top tier sound system and ambiance with a very reasonable bar (for a nightclub especially). I went for Dusky on the main stage, but the bottom floor and rooftop lounge are nice. The no photography or recording policy is such a relief honestly. People who want to record a whole set for whatever reason are a huge nuisance, and security was on top of eradicating that cancer from the dancefloor. The fact that there's a nice secure lot right next door with sub-$15 parking is also a huge win. Really, no complaints. Maybe the lights and effects guy could have been more aggressive with the lights? That's about it.

District killed it! The 2nd flr was the real juice! 1st flr is free and casual. 3rd flr is breezy n cool. It was a good vibe. Security is stupid tight and panicky, they could use some deescalating training to avoid issues. They smoke and chill in the crowd but randomly lay law. I like this house scene. It’s weirdly straight tho being a house club and right next to a gay club. Idk.

Halloween party was lit. Barbie and Ken met some other Barbies. Had to carry her up the flight of stairs and staff said the stairs kill people. They weren’t exaggerating. And then security came to check I wasn’t kidnapping Barbie. Appropriate and helpful. Great vibe. Crowd not too faded.

well I went to Sunday Love bought ticket in advance. got to venue about 4pm and was able to get in before they scanned tickets, or so I'm told. rooftop was nice. music was good. I spent maybe 2 hours and then had to leave for home. today I checked my debit card and see 4 or 5 seperate charges totalling about $200. I feel confident I didnt drink $200 solo, don't recall signing 5 receipts maybe signed 2. i can't really say what I bought or why it was broken up into 4 or 5 seperate charges. kinda hoping some will fall off, maybe it was a debit card hold? again cool place just felt sick all day today looking my checking account :(

One of the best clubs on the East Coast. Great sunset parties and even better live shows. Always an absolute banger location for house and techno

Always the best dance music and vibes in town. If you love house, techno and all the good EDM, get your self to Flash.

Great DJs, three floors, cigs on deck. Keep your phone in your pocket!! It’s as close to Berlin as I’ve found in the US. Toss the bartenders a few extra bucks and you’ll get heavy pours.

I love this place especially their Sunday Love!! Feels like a mini-music festival! It also attracts interesting, gorgeous people that are truly there to dance, not just drink/get wasted.

Great time here! Staff made us feel welcome and that was refreshing. Good bar staff, quick service. Seating plentiful, large dance area in front of the stage. Top notch.

Best small nightclub in the city - convenient and usually clean restrooms, nice light system, very nice they always have a readily available pitcher of water. Cover is a bit high but not unreasonable. Always a good time - my favorite place to hang out

This place sucks. Do not go here. I was given attitude at the door and not allowed in. And I was invited! If you go they may not let you in. Don't even try it. Don't bother. Zero stars.

Dead atmosphere, snobby bouncers (seriously, they follow you like a hawk if you're not a rich white kid), and there's always sketchy people there. It's never a normal pleasant night out when we go here. Once we were threatened and called slurs over our ethnicity- bouncer did nothing to help other than keep them coming near us again. The other time someone started touching me up and continued after I made it known I wasn't cool with it.

Bouncers that behave like the Stasi if you're too loud but do not intervene when you get hate crimed. Somehow this place attracts a very antisemitic crowd. When someone lashed out some antisemitic insults at me, the bouncer defended him. This place is awful. Don't waste your time there.
