The Dorado Café was our first stop on our café hopping tour; a great choice at that. The warm aroma of the freshly brewed coffee made the cozy interior ever more inviting. The well kept and mature plants lines the ever corner of this little café. The eclectic art on the walls and funky lamps gave this place a rather unique vibe. Only emphasized by the bi-chromatic colour pallet of rich greens and soft oranges. Much like the kind smiled barista, the mocha was sweet and well balanced. Highly recommend for a spot of coffee or tea on a cold day. ☕️

I found this place by chance, and the food and drinks were amazing (especially the iced coffee). Get the egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich—the only place that compares is Shug’s in Dallas, TX! One of the best bagel sandwiches I have had. I was in Budapest for 3 days and went here 3 times!

Great coffee place! Aromatic, rich coffees accompanied by a moist, citrusy, dense carrot cake or a piece of cheesecake that melts in your mouth. Highly recommend!

The top 5 recommended specialty coffee from 4 Minutes, worth of visiting for sure Incredible nice taste of Brew coffee being served even it's from batch Brew, unbelievable, El Salitre beans it is. Never will it be wrong to follow store staff's recommendation for their favorites, thus had the Avocado Toast Oh mine, fresh fruit for sure with surprising light flavor, dressed with chopped mint leaves and Pomegranate plus black sesame seeds, the juice from prepared sliced lemon makes it even more adorable. The pastry indeed plays a vital role to offer cruncy taste, a perfectly combination for your brunch La Marzocco espresso machine with Mahlkonig bean grinder, always the winner package for professional coffee stores serving different coffees Nice atmosphere inside with south American style music in the background, they bring you to one of the famous coffee origins from Budapest city downtown :)

It's really nice place to drink coffee and if you need you can also work here as i encountered couple of people doing that when i was visiting. The have couple of options for the food but it simple brunch stuff. I ate three chees sandwich and i must say it was perfect. Crunchy, tasty and cheesy! I would recommend you to try it definitely! The only thing that i didn't really like is the coffee it was a lot sour for my taste, and that's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars. But this is just my taste and opinion and you will definitely need to come to check by yourself because everything else worth it!

The dirty chai was my favourite, presented in a classic way. I loved the bagel with bacon and eggs, it was delicious and had a delicious dip to complement. The carrot cake was moist and full with flavour. The place is super cozy and nice. Loved it!

A very study and remote work friendly spot. The staff is attentive and nice. There is a large communal table with ample room to spread out and work. Low noise level and a comfortable atmosphere.

Lovely interior and nice staff. Dog friendly. The butter knives we got weren't sharp enough to cut the bread and honestly that made the eating experience a little bit of a struggle, hence the reduction of a star. Food was yummy and coffee was good, too.

Great place! I had a very nice cappuccino and slice of banana bread here. Nice place to get some work done or chat with friends. Interior is quite small though so during busy times maybe no seating available. Highly recommend!

  • 5/5 Donna H. 2 years ago on Google
Really chilled vibe about the cafe. The coffee was beautiful, we had double cappuccino, cortado and batch brew. We also had sourdough and avocado with tomatoes and egg, it was very good although a little too much garlic for me, but that might suit others. Would definitely recommend 🥰

Excellent cafe and ambience! Good size portions, freshly squeezed orange juice and would prefer the flat white to be more hot. Toilets were clean, no bad odour which is a bonus! Came here twice! Great work team!

One of the best coffee places in Budapest! Super good coffee, cosy and stylish interior and very nice friendly service every time. The sandwiches are nice for breakfast or lunch. You can also buy locally roasted coffee beans from there. During the weekends it can be quite full and difficult to get a table.

The café is one it's kind we've tried in terms of their theme (70s). Some of the most beautiful people making some of the tastiest coffee and breakfast you can have in the downtown area. One of our order was slow and so they compensated with a cookie while we waited and we weren't in a hurry!

  • 5/5 Wild C. 1 year ago on Google
The avocado vegan sandwich is super great. The egg sandwich is a hit and the coffees are splendid (choose the oatmeal option). I would totally stop there for the perfect brunch. Have a grab :)

Authentic place. The staff was really nice and helpful. The service was quick and quality. Food and coffee were delicious. It is absolutely worth to visit.

We ordered a serrano toast, a banana bread, a carrot cake and a basque cheesecake. The service is slow but because they are quite busy at around noon. The basque cheesecake has a very strong metal taste. It is overwhelming. I think the form they use is not appropriate for this type of cake and it sucks up the taste of the metal. If you don’t eat the bottom and the side then it is perfect. It is creamy it is sweet and a bit bitter of the top. The banana bread does not taste banana at all. It has a very nice dough, nice consistency, just don’t call it a banana bread if it does not have banana taste. The best was the carrot cake, nice texture nice cream very good taste. The sandwhich was good, premium plating, really good bread, nice colors.

Best breakfast place in Budapest! Food and coffee were delicious. Highly recommend the scrambled eggs, avocado toast or grilled cheese sandwich. Service was excellent and super nice!

  • 3/5 Ahsan S. 1 year ago on Google
Good place. Service is pretty standard. attentive servers though. We had 3 cheese sand which was very over powering but pretty plain as well. 3300Ft. Over priced I’d say Salmon bagel - 3590Ft . Was ok. Scrambled eggs - 2990 Ft. this was prolly the best dish for the size / taste and worth. Rest were not worth it. Flat white was 1050Ft - ok taste wise. There are other cafes. Try them.

Very cozy place with delicious food and coffee! The service was fast and efficient, and the staff was very welcoming. They also play rock music, so If you are a fan, definitely go there. Best brunch place we tried in Budapest!

This cafe has a special place in my heart. It is very human and natural to a point that you feel like you are part of the vibe without trying. The coffee is amazing, one of the best in town. The wifi is fast, and food is super good. The staff members are knowledgeable and very professional with great consistency. The ice lattes here are one of the smoothest I tasted in my life. I have been working from home this summer and went to many cafes in Budapest, but this one captured my heart fully and would choose it any day over any other!

The best avocado toast I ever tasted! Zingy, zesty, with the lovely touch of pickled veg giving some extra ‘oomph’. Bread was amazing; wholesome and chewy with the bonus of a ‘proper’ sharp knife, thus avoiding the war zone that often occurs when tackling sourdough toast 😁. A short and sweet menu - limited to a few things that are really well made. Service was a little confusing at first. I stood a while patiently trying to get someone’s attention, then a couple of others walked straight up and were served ahead of me, so maybe I just need to be more bold next time (which there will definitely be!) Coffee was well-made and good quality. Nice, chilled atmosphere with fab tunes playing in the background. Communal table was great for a little chat with others.

really fell in love with this place. everything is so lovely about every small detail in this coffeeshop: empty wine bottles with candles, handwritten menu and beautiful film photos on the wall. the cappuccino was very good, as well as the bagel with pumpkin and cream cheese (i requested without ham). the people working here are very nice and friendly. comforting and atmospheric place<3

What a gem in downtown Budapest for a coffee geek which I am not, but the home made combucha worth a try! Food is also good. The interior is lovely, cosy and the music is just perfect. Oh and you can buy your coffee beans which they grind you upon request with an EK43 grinder which probably grinds better then you would do it yourself (who knows of course but it is a good option). Oh and last but not least pickled olives can also be bought there, and they tastes amazing.

Dorado is definitely in the top list of our favorite coffee shop. Staff are super friendly and helpful. It does give such a ''Home friendly'' environment coffee shop. When me and my wife was there, it was pretty quiet. * This place has long table which is perfect for group meeting or meet up for some work. * Wall has plug available for laptop charging * Free-Wifi * Coffee has large space, I would give 4 stars for space management since there is not a lot of seats but I love the idea of pretty of spaces in the shop. Truly a minimalist style coffee shop.

This was hands down the most pleasant cafe experience we had in Budapest (and we visited 3 others). There was a nice mix of locals & visitors, people working and people just visiting. The staff is welcoming, even when your Hungarian skills are severely lacking! I had a lovely conversation about learning languages with a member of the staff one quiet morning while we sipped our lattes. Definitely go for the banana bread if that’s your thing; theirs is excellent. 100% recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

(Translated by Google) Budapest: near the Opera. Very good attention. Apart from English, a local person tried to speak in Spanish. Lunches: their exposed products enter by sight. I inform that in just 20/30 meters you have a slogan to be able to leave your luggage. It is not very big, but it can help you fight. Around, I note that there is an offer of apartments and being an entry / exit time, it can serve you. Of course, first café / cappuccino in El Dorado. I will try English language, but I don't write cert well. El Dorado is a best coffe shop. I recomanades it. (Original) Budapest: cerca de la Opera. Muy buena atencion. (Translated by Google) The design of the café is pleasant. Great community tables. Spacious layout. The tables near the wall could be a bit bigger! Casino Mocca is working on Hungarian roasting coffee. The Batch brew was good. Not the best but good! A little late in the service (I think they forgot). They kindly apologized and surprised me with a cake which was a very nice gesture and it was good. Thanks. They deserve 4 stars! I'll be back with this I can definitely say!
