I went there with my family and partner. It is a great place for antique treasures and there are many very interesting items. We enjoyed our time there, but I was a little bit disappointed with the service. If you go there, make sure you go there knowing the value of the items you are interested to look at, as people there try to sell you items way too expensive when they see you are a foreigner. Also, some sellers when you are just looking at items are just way too forceful. But on the other hand, there were real treasures there and some very friendly and knowledgeable people. We have seen many World War II antique items, paintings, antique furniture, pictures. There is this amazing camera shop. It had several antique old-fashioned cameras in this hidden little room. If you go there this little place is a place that you MUST visit. I have included an picture of that place. There are some little buffets where you can go and get some refreshments. I think parking is a little bit tricky but it is not impossible to find. SO if you get a chance do go there and have a look around, but be careful with the pricing of the items!

Most of the sellers are not there most of the time and on Friday morning the market was without visitors, but still plenty of interesting stuff to go through :-) The opening hours differ from what google says, see picture.

✨️Going on a Saturday suring summer helps✨️ This is a nice fleamarket that is more curated with items based on theme. For example, stall 43 is all about analogue film cameras ranging from Soviet to German to Hungarian models. It is true that not all shops open, but the majority of them are open and ranging from the items. Most sellers don't speak English, but a translator works well, and the sellers are really quite nice. The prices that they give are usually very fair or market value. I also felt like they weren't give you a price higher because you were a foreigner. If you get Hungary a small bistro is serving some coffee and homemade baked goods and Lungos.

I really like antiques. So I was looking forward to a trip to Hungary and this market is the place I wanted to visit the most😊 I was worried because the reviews were so bad and I was disappointed already because it was a rainy Friday💧 when I went there, I felt better after seeing interesting shops and various things. The merchants were very kind, explained the stuff well. they genuinely love and care their antiques. It was a good experience 👍🏻 just tell them what you are looking for and price they will help you to find what you want 😎

I went there around noon on Friday and not so many shops were open but some still. I got some stuffs for myself but wanted to have more if I had enough cash. So make sure to bring enough cash! Some venders speak English but mostly not, if you are German speaker there are more chance to talk to them to get little bit of discount. I got some discount by negotiating in German:) Anyway, it was relaxed atmosphere on the weekdays and for me it was worth to go there even it is a bit far from central.

Disappointment. There are only few permanent shops are open. Those try to sell old, dirty, broken furniture. It might be Covid or the disinterest, what killed this once vibrant and full-of-life place.

Went there on a Sunday and sadly the place was at maybe 20% occupancy. Lots of empty booths or closed up and hardly any other visitors. We spoke to one vendor who said “Saturday is better, but there are more gypsies” whatever that means. We will likely try again on Saturday next time, but we’re certainly keeping our expectations low.

There are not a lot of stores, and some stores are not open when I visited. If you are nearby you can go and have a look, but I don't think it is worth going specifically. However, most sellers are very kind and willing to show there goods

The market is not worth going in the case of having interset to buy an item with an interest price. First, even on sunday mots of strores are closed. The price is so high, so don t expect to make a good deal, even if the sellers are friendly except one aged and tall man whose store located next to entry on the right.

Mostly antiques, great to look around. If your looking for clothes or bric-a-brac then this won't meet your expectations.

Amazing flea market. Must go to Ecseribazar, really helpful, welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and what they have is actually unbelievable. Actually breath taking to see the history.

Sweet! You can find treasures here. I think sometimes a bit pricey for this old goods, but definitely worth to visit if you like vintage staff! ;)

I had such great memories of this place as a child. It's not even a shadow of its former self. I miss the good old times. Well, not really. Mostly junk and unquestionable "antiques", well I have tried to queation them on a few occasions.

It wasn't a good idea to visit it in August. Most "shops" were closed.

  • 4/5 Neža T. 6 months ago on Google
The market was pretty big and most shops were opened, but they did start to close pretty early. Some of the vendors were friendly and had good prices, others not so much. You could pay with HUF or EUR at most places. You can buy everything from clutter to absolute steals. The best and nicest vendor with the best prices and items was an older lady located in one of the stalls on the left of the market.

We came on Sunday morning most of the shops were closed, but we could find great finds with the ones that were open, porcelain figuring, tea sets, furniture, clocks and more. You can communicate in English. I will get back there on another day hoping more shops will be open.

Definitely would want to come back in the summer months as not everything was open. Going in January there was places open, but not alot of variety- mainly furniture and china sets. Great camera shop in location 43! Also worth noting there's really clean toilets! The travel from town was easy on the bus and didn't take long at all.

Great variety of items from classic antiques to more modern retro goods. Easy to get to on public transport (bus) from the city centre. Good friendly atmosphere.

Big Flea Market. When we visited there wasnt full of dealers. In spite of this the offer was interesting and it is worth going. There is a plenty of vintage furniture, pircelain, hours... You can bargain for the price.
