Returned with family for a meal which was excellent as always. I was surprised and delighted by the quality and range available on the wine list, the wines provided are fantastic and not what expected to find in a village pub! Better wines and selection than some much fancier and pricier places. Well done and kudos to the sommelier 👍.

Food was OK, prices moderate, staff nice enough, I paid the bill before eating, no member of staff around when we walked out

After a few misunderstandings with our order, all was well afterwards. Staff attentive and willing to assist. Chicken stuffed with haggis, very tasty and a huge portion!

Prebooked table. On arrival we were shown to the tiniest table. Staff were professional, pleasant and helpful. I had steak pie and my friend had texan chicken melt. The plates took up the whole table. No room for cutlery at the side. The beef with the steak pie was lovely, the pastry was flat with no crispness, peas were hard (not birds eye brand) and carrots had a 'tinned' texture. The chips were nice. There was very little chicken in the Texan melt however it was very very tasty. I would recommend the steak pie and chips but no veg.

4th choice other 3 were closed was our good fortune as everything was excellent.

Following the recommendations of our host at Hillhead Farm we’ve down in this pub and have enjoyed our time. Great food, nice staff it was pure dead brilliant! Let’s go and enjoyed like us.

Great pub and atmosphere. The only thing that stopped 5 stars was the pastry.

Turned up without a booking, however, we were seated within minutes. Although it was busy we had our food served promptly. The homemade soup was piping hot and delicious. We had the steakpie and fish both of which were freshly made and beautifully presented. The food is of good quality, generous portions and great value for the money.

So we came today party of 20 for my uncle birthday who passed away just yesterday we where all made feel very welcome the food was very good and as a chef I definitely had no complaints but the staff where absolutely outstanding very very attentive and with a big group all paying separately with no complaints and smile on faces even helped my wee auntie with her gf menu . A massive well done I definitely will be back every-time I am in Stirling thank u so much

First time here today and omg I was not disappointed had potato skins which were absolutely delicious, then I had steak pie, what can I say that is the best steak pie I have ever had, compliments to the chef, staff are friendly to, I would highly recommend this place, I will certainly be back, if going book in advance as this place is so busy which doesn't surprise me
