Absolutely disgusting facility. I just left my daughter there and I regret it so much. She came in by ambulance at midnight and they didn't get her checked in and moved to a room until 6:00 am. They brought us to a private waiting room when we entered. They said "wait here" and they didn't come back and even tell us what was going on until I fussed after 3 hours of waiting. Everything was filthy. Walls. Furniture. Floors. Tv screen. Door Window. But the worst was the bathroom. You could smell the urine in the hallway. They had a metal prison toilet that was covered in pee. Something wet all over the floor that I can only assume was urine. Wet toilet paper in the sink. Trashcan full. Why are they pretending to care about covid when you are clearly not cleaning? They LIE on their website about visitation. They have NO visitation " due to covid". Covid had been around for almost 3 years... They could not have updated their website by now? So my already depressed daughter just had her main support system ripped out from under her. I NEVER would have agreed to let her come here if I had not read on THEIR website what the visiting hours are.

i admitted here twice, both experiences horrible. the food was alright but thats it. the staff didnt offer any support and made you feel like you were in jail with the hard restrictions and set up. the rooms were not comforting at all and my doctor only talked to me for 4-7 mins after i waited days. felt like i was being punished the whole experience.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone who is used to open lines of communication about their child. My son has been at another facility in the past where they answered the phone and returned phone calls within a reasonable time frame. At peachford I've left numerous messages for the caseworker, had them page the caseworker, and still have not been able to speak with her. After demanding to speak to someone, they got a different case manager on the phone and discovered my sons caseworker has not been relaying information between my son and his support team. I still have no real insight as to what the plan is for my son because the caseworker cannot be bothered to do the job she is paid to do. I would not recommend this facility to an animal, much less a human being.

THANK GOD for this place. When I tell you God intervened with the Dr & the social worker who has been working with our family member, it is the God's honest truth. The level of communication, compassion & empathy and above all HUMANITY to the patient and the family speaks volumes! I wish more money was allocated into Mental Health as it is a serious [& rising problem] in the US! Unfortunately patients who need to be treated are often thrown in jail rather than in a hospital, behavioral system, etc! Before our family member was admitted here, I earnestly prayed that WHOEVER found him, saw the illness and not the behavior! It was tragic that the last facility our family member was at was dismissive and didn't treat the illness nor the patient. If you or your family ever need to go here, I hope you / them get the Dr and social worker that worked with us! OUTSTANDING!!!

I was just hospitalized here and let me tell you that this was an experience that I never want to face in my life ever again. I had to witness someone almost dying in front of me while all the patients (there for treatment) had to help this poor lady and none of the MHA's were available or to busy to pay attention to what was going on. Patients banging their heads on walls and screaming, getting angry, or picking fights because doctors abruptly change their medication and their having very bad withdrawals. So much anxiety in one room with over 30 woman going through similar but very different circumstances. I went there to get better and get help but I feel that it makes you worse and really feel like you are going crazy. As much as they charge a day for each person you'd think it'd be an awesome experience. I wanted to leave the day I got there but they keep you for 3-5 days minimum and some are there much longer. You're on a strict schedule everyday. You're punished if things aren't done or rules aren't followed. You can't go in your room to sleep or lay down for over 8 hours and that's only for 1hour. Then you come out and wait another two and half hours then its lights out. Only great thing was there phones. My family kept me sane! I met a lot of great woman who I'll keep in contact with but I'll always have this experience to look back on and keep me from harming myself. Its definitely an eye opener. I didn't choose this facility I was referred. Do your research before checking yourself in or sending a loved one.

This was the most traumatizing facility I have been to. Patients were either given too much freedom, for their conditions, or too much restriction. A patient was choked by another patient, after he was checked into the facility. He also choked and caused danger to the staff members and other patients. The situation was handled by locking the patient away for a short amount of time. This facility would have been much better if the patients were separated (based on their mental disabilities) instead of just age range. Also, some of the staff members were rude and disrespectful to some of the patients. I would highly recommend that they received an update on their training. It was more like they were there for the paycheck and not to help patients. The doctors seemed greedy and unhelpful as well when it came to the patients. They pushed patients to take medication instead of receiving counseling or therapy. They also lacked communication skills with my family. I would not recommend this place for your loved ones.

My child was admitted to this facility in late 2021. The staff was extremely compassionate towards her needs, the Dr was great, and the caseworker kept in constant contact with us. My child bonded with several of the nurses. They listened to my child and treated her with respect. Unfortunately my child had a pysch relapse and we went to the ER and she was admitted to Summitridge. That hospital is night and day different from Peachford. She was not treated well at Summitridge. Thank you Peachford team for taking such good care of my child while they were in there!!

My daughter was admitted here by her aunt who was appointed temporary guardian over her. Anyway, try being in another state and your child is in this place where you can never get a hold of anyone on the phone and all you hear about is your child's behavior and wonder what's really going on?! The staff seemed rude while on calls with my child. My daughters behavior seemed worse when she left then when she went in! Would not recommend a place that's supposed to help kids, that do not!

Want to start this by saying I am 23 years old at the time of writing this and I do make stupid mistakes. One of those said mistakes landed me in Peachford and I can honestly say it was one of the worst experiences of my life. They run it like a jail. I came there in only a t shirt and b ball shorts. My gym shorts were taken because they had a elastic string. I was given a hospital gown and no pants and had to walk around in my underwear for 3 days!!!! In my anger and frustration at the situation I threw paper towels on the floor in the bathroom. In response to this the staff surrounded me and gave me 2 BIG shots of some mysterious drug to make me faint. When I did begin to faint I went to one of the staff to ask to have my room unlocked, the lady ignored me and didn't do it. Only after I fainted and hit my head an injured myself did they help me to my bed. It is fall time so it's cold and they kept the building really cold as well!!! Only after my mom called and complained was I given a long sleeve shirt and pants on the last day I was there. The food is disgusting, it gave me gas and messed up my stomach for days afterwards. Dr. Mohammed never showed up until the late evening and I only spoke to him for a total of 5 minutes and I was there 4 days!!!! The staff does not treat patients with respect and runs it like a jail! I was forced to take anti-depressants when I never had been diagnosed with depression EVER nor do I feel depressed. I was also billed over $2000 for literally no treatment. This place in my opinion is a touture chamber and a joke. I want to sue because my head and body still hurts from that head injury, shot and pills they forced into my body !!!

I wish I could give this place zero star. My mother was sent there on court order 72 hour psych watch 5 years ago. Before the 72 hours was even up, the counselor was trying to release her. She finally agreed to hold a family teleconference and realized Mom was still extremely paranoid and not ready to leave. Two days later they called and were like "come pick her up" with no diagnosis or further instructions. We were never allowed to speak to her doctor. Fast forward 5 years later and once again we have a court order at the directive of her deputy sheriff to have her picked up and observed again. In her illness, she broke into another person's home and when the homeowner discovered her they called the police. My Mom maintained the whole time it was her house and began cursing and threatening the home owners who called the police. I tried to explain to this moron that the police took this action, not us. So once again she is sent to this place with a court order and a police statement and this hospital is now calling me telling me they don't want to admit her because she "seems just fine". Um really? She broke into someone's home. "Oh yeah, she said that she went to the wrong house, but apologized" Um seriously? Are you a patient yourself? I mean seriously they have a court order mandating this and the counselor is ready to send her home because Mom answered all their questions and denies everything. She is mentally ill, she is not fit to tell you the truth. Extremely disappointed in now our second experience with this place. They couldn't even find her file from five years ago despite my Mom telling them she had previously been admitted. If this happens again, we will definitely take her somewhere else.

Everyone gives this place a poor review. Mainly because they are not open-minded and not willing to admit there is a problem and they do not want to accept the help that they need. This place helped me out alot.

They lied and said I was having SI and drinking. I haven't drank a drop off alcohol since 4/23/2016 when deciding the woman I was dating needed a man who would support her in her recovery from alcohol. I didn't say anything for them to conclude i was having any suicidal ideation. They simply ran with my prior diagnosis of BPD to force me into thier hospital and gave me a huge bill afterwards. Be careful as this started with an outpatient search for ECT treatments. Good luck getting what you need here.

I was admitted here when I was 12 and had the most horrible experience of my life. I was mistreated by the employees, the doctor didn't talk to me for several days. The boys and girls are in the same unit. The nurses don't help with anything at all. Ther were multiple fights within the time frame I was there, and the nurses did absolutely nothing. Awful experience. If any parents are thinking about admitting their kids here, DON'T. Try to get them in Ridgeview in Monroe, or Ridgeview in Smyrna. I went to both facilities and got a lot more help than I did at peachford.

Been there and was in unit 1 for a bit, it was nice and everyone knew me on day one. Everyone in the unit knew each other and we had a lot of activities we did. But since I'm 18 I was told to be in unit 4, they didn't have the same necessities unit 1 did but it's the same facility. I wish they cared about the adults the same way they care about the children and teens and give them some more activities to distract them and conditioner. CONDITIONER IS IMPORTANT AND I WISH YOU GUYS COULD KEEP THE ADULT PLACE CLEAN! be an adult for once and make it a good time for us so we feel safe there

7/20 - 7/25. Rough place. They really don’t care about people at their lowest point. They move slow on purpose, very rude nurses, no outside time, it’s bad. If you are suicidal - DO NOT GO HERE!

Very unprofessional I think they are only here for a check. My daughter is not suicidal, but I had a dr. tell me my child had moderate suicidal, which is a lie she has Medicaid so you all want to continue to charge your Medicaid when there’s nothing wrong with her she threw a tantrum over a charger. She’s only 15 I’m going to get my lawyer and I’m also going to call Medicaid and cancel.

This was the worse experience ever. The staff shoved me in a room, gave me a shot when I refused it, talked to me any kind of way, and neglected and ignored me when I had questions. I can’t believe I was put in a place like that. If you believe in spirituality, that place was definitely possessed. Cabinets slammed opened and shut on its own, people were doing witch craft and calling all kinds of spirits in the environment. They didn’t keep it very clean either. There were dust all over the crevices. And the medicines and shots they give you, they don’t give you hardly no information as to what it is you’re taking. In fact they only came to me for shots early in the morning while I’m sleeping not knowing what is going on.

the inpatient program is awful, however they’re doing their best with low staff, low funding, and strict regulations/guidelines. if you have the option, i highly suggest the outpatient program. it saved my life.
