Loved that the beaches are clean. Lifeguards services available. Showers along the beach. Lots of surfers. Many piers to walk along for photo opportunities. Lots of great fast food places to choose from. A regular police presence making your leisure activities safer. Although u still need to be vigilant. Great to see families walking and enjoying time outdoors with their families. Bikes are available to hire. Gardens nearby are also well maintained. Sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking. Loved it.

Awesome place to be. Security is good with lot of ground police during the day, and lots and lots of parking space if visit from mid January. So many hotels and restaurants around the place and enough entertainment places for the kids of all ages. This beach is a "must visit" for a family.

Beautiful Golden Sandy Beach. No wonder it's called the Golden Mile A nice place to relax, take a walk, exercise, jog or hire bicycles and ride. The water is always warm and sandy, no rocks like other beaches. Always gives me peace

Always an enjoyable event to visit Durban beach. Most of the fun games are not operational but all the other activities as normal. Life savers, police patrolling and the usual Durban street vendors.

It was impressively clean. Go-carts & Bicycle hire is rather expensive, especially if wanting a 2-seater. Loved watching the traditional Zulu dancers. Music played by restaurants could be more multinationally friendly, instead of pumping Zulu/kwaito only.

Very memorable place! I like the direction the city is going with revamping the beach front however they are not consistent with their Maintenance is sad and they do nothing to address the beggars and pickpockets operating there

It was great though I noticed that a lot of homeless people walking up and down that's making me feel like I was not safe and being asked for a spare change and on the way back I must keep looking who's following me

The beach is beautiful. I've visited it a few times. The bathrooms are not in the best condition. More resources need to be put into maintaining them. Other than that, I enjoyed being there and being around all the happy people.

The beach was nice πŸ™‚ but needs cleaning, cigarette butts and pieces of plastic everywhere.

Beggers remove the joy of an easy stroll along the beach front. North Beach can do with a detailed cleanup. Our beachfront has more potential than we are currently extracting. We have the continent best promenade with potential to expand and enjoy.

Not too shabby slightly on average Worth a brief visit just for experience sake.Just be on the lookout for shady character's and the influx of homeless beggars. Be vigilant of your surroundings at all times and secure your possessions. The beach is overall extremely beautiful with golden sea sand refreshing bearable sea water and stunning waves

A great place to walk, cycle, skate, jog, exercise in the open air as many are doing daily away from enclosed gyms. The promenade is so wide and long and well maintained by a private company as well as the municipality. Durban is fortunate to have this amazing space.

We enjoyed a very short walk along the Promenade today, taking advantage of the temperate Durban winter weather. It was a little windy, but pleasant, and it was most enjoyable seeing and chatting with friendly sun-seekers out with family and friends. We will endeavour to do it more regularly in future.

Beautiful Durban. So many things to do, the beach, the promenade, great restaurants, outdoor gym facilities etc. Great for fitness, relaxing with friends or spending time with family. Plenty of parking available.

I enjoy this beach mainly for walks and runs with the family. It can get rather full so it's important to get the timing right, noon is never best... Keep your belongings close when in the water as I recently got my bag stolen whilst I took a quick dash to feel warm waters

A lot of work needs to be done in keeping the place clean. There was litter everywhere.

Had a pleasant and peaceful beach experience. The beach itself was fairly clean, although it could do with some thorough cleaning. The police were quite visible for the time I was there.
