Beautiful looking place unfortunately the services & professional courtesy don’t align with the beauty of the decor. I had my hair done twice by Gia - I was a new client & willing to be patient as she learned my hair texture & preferences. Mind you I wear a very low cut pixie which is typically very easy to maintain by most stylist. Both times my hair looked untamed with in two days of having my hair trimmed, texturized & styled by Gia. The second time I politely texted & called so that she could fix it for me. She completely ghosted me. 3 weeks later still ignoring calls & texts. Only someone with Deplorable work ethics & just over all rude would behave this way unprovoked.

I went to Aura and had my hair cut. This was a completely different style from what I had. I was very nervous because I took a lot of hair off. While I was there the staff was very nice. They made me feel very comfortable. The owner even came over to check on me to make sure that I was happy. I can say that this will be my new salon for life, and anyone out there that is looking for a new stylist or day spa this is the place to go. Decoration is beautiful. A big phrase painted on a back wall, the green cloud mural they have at the reception is astonishing; you need to see it for yourself. Overall, I had a great experience!!!!

Anes has an amazing touch with her clients my wife and son get their hair loved on at Aura Salon and boutique. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Beautiful artwork lots of unique pieces some for sale. But the compliments they get after a trip to the saloon boosts their self esteem. I have witnessed it over the years and I really appreciate Anes' ability to connect with my son and listen to feedback. My wife's hair seems so glowy and smells amazing after her session. This was my first time visiting this salon. I finally found my stylist, her name is Anes Hendrick. My service was to cut and style my natural. She was in no hurry and I am extremely pleased. Anes is personable, very much in tone with her client and more importantly she knows her craft. I am a satisfied customer.

The manicures & pedicures I regularly get from technician Felicia are simply divine. The spa environment is nicely decorated and it's 'one-stop' where whatever pampering you want you can get it at Aura Salon - hair, nails, barber, massage. Just go. You won't regret it.

I stumbled upon this salon while researching natural full service salons for women of color. I have been seeking a stylist who is a veteran and skilled in providing a multitude of services. With the summer ahead and the humidity rising here in the south, I needed to find a professional. I stumbled upon Anes Hendricks and her versatile skillset on instagram. She does it all. Natural curls, Locs, braids, silk press, cuts, color. You name it! While this area of Durham is a 29 minute commute from home, it was well worth the visit. This is not a salon but a beauty spa. They offer so much with ambiance to match. They offer nail spa services, in addition to barbers and stylists. The salon suites are very spacious. Parking is easy,customer service is great. Everyone is professional and the noise level is low considering it is a shared space amongst professionals. When you enter a receptionist greets you. I booked a hot steam scalp detox treatment, and crochet box braid style. My wash and hot steam service was heavenly. 30 minutes of pure relaxation. Anes treats your shampoo service like she is a massage therapist. She is meticulous. She even turned off the lights for my steam treatment and put on relaxing mood lighting and coffee shop jazz. Anes took her time discussing my hair goals and consulting about the health of my hair currently. It has been a challenge finding the correct products for my natural hair and combating dryness and hard water in the south. She provided recommendations and solutions. I learned that Anes also has a Iheart Radio Apple I-tunes segment on air called Kinky, Curly, Straight. If you're looking for a relaxing, quality salon experience, this is it.

Betty is the BEST lady for lash extensions! Every time I had my lashes done by her they were beautiful, lasted well, had no redness and no pain! She also gives really good advice for taking care of them. 100% recommend Betty!
