The
best
part
of
my
stay
was
the
location
of
the
hotel.
Upon
extending
my
stay
there
was
a
storm
that
rolled
through
the
area
and
knocked
out
all
power
and
lights.
The
following
morning
the
housekeeping
staff
knocked
on
my
door
and
asked
"Are
you
checking
out
or
paying?"
I
went
to
the
front
desk
to
inquire
if
I
would
be
reimbursed
or
accommodated
for
the
night
stay
without
Electricity,
A/C
or
any
other
accommodations
a
guest
was
supposed
to
receive.
At
the
front
desk
I
was
told
"It
is
a
Natural
Disaster
and
there's
nothing
I
can
do!"
My
reply
to
the
front
desks
snarky
comment
was
"I
thought
hotels
would
have
emergency
backup
generators
to
at
least
ensure
that
the
guests
wouldn't
loose
there
perishable
refrigerated
grocery
items?."
To
which,
I
was
simply
given
a
shrug
of
the
shoulders
and
told
I
can
check
out.
I
do
not
feel
as
though
the
hotel,
staff
and/
or
management
and
owners
care
about
the
guests
that
stay
at
their
hotel/
establishment.
There
is
no
way
a
descent
and
respectable
human
being
would
charge
guests
for
a
2
nights
of
Stay
without
Power
or
A/C
in
this
North
Carolina
heat.
The
new
owner/
manager
Mrs.
Rema
refused
to
offer
a
Complimentary
night
stay,
discount
or
assistance.
Many
times
from
her
mouth
the
words
"Well,
what
do
you
want
me
to
do?"
uttered
from
her
lips.
Honestly,
I
regret
ever
staying
there.
My
spouse
was
coerced
into
writing
a
google
review
directly
after
check-in
without
even
participating
in
the
stay.
If
it's
just
$30
difference
between
Red
Roof
Inn
and
somewhere
else.
That
$30
extra
pays
for
generosity,
consideration,
hospitality
and
understanding;
because
those
key
elements
are
missing
at
this
particular
location.
I
DO
NOT
recommend
staying
at
this
hotel,
even
if
they're
trying
to
swap
out
new
furniture
and
paint.
A
can
of
paint
and
paint
brushes
cannot
cover
up
the
emotional
and
mental
abuse
that
was
endured
during
my
stay.
