Great new interior & under new management. Clean, family pub, serving good food, & dog friendly, in heart of Duston Village, Northampton.

Visited for the first time this week - newly decorated and food was nice and good value. However, the staff need a lesson in customer service as not welcoming, friendly or helpful. Especially the manager ..... a smile goes a long way !! Entertaining though as I don't think I have ever visited a pub with such miserable staff !

Friendly pub that has a good selection of beers on tap, and for our party most importantly, Sky Sports was available for the Monday night Premier League game. All in all a good experience.

Went to see kick start great band. Was busy but they had enough bar staff on so you didn't wait long for a pint . Great place

Great atmosphere - really cosy with the fire. Private seating corners and outdoor area with entertainment screen which seals the deal in the summer.

Popped in at lunchtime during the week. Food and service really good; would go back! Car park is small though so if driving you may need to find alternative parking.

TOILET REVIEW : 2 stalls ladies bathroom spotless, really clean and smelled nice. Toiletries provided as a nice touch. The only issue is there was a clean check sheet but it was rarely updated (every few days) and it's last entry was 10/11. Basically defeats the point of a clean check sheet.

Seems like it has had a recent refurbishment, nice outdoor area for sunnier days. Only had drinks can't vouch for food. Nice friendly staff

Booked this venue for a family get together to celebrate a birthday, all 23 of us were well looked after, understandably due to numbers we had to pre-order the food. The kitchen and waiting staff were fantastic ,getting it all out on the tables at the same time, no complaints from anyone in the group. A great evening was had by all, thank you Squirrel staff for making it a great night.

Fantastic place. I walked i today and first thing I noticed was how immaculate the cleaning was, it was so clean! The bar tender served me polite and smiling. It was very quiet but it is Monday afternoon. They have great funky furniture and artwork on the walls about the history of the northampton town. The lager is a good price as the whiskey. The toilets are clean and tidy. I looked over the food menu and the prices seem really good for a pub. Didn’t eat so can’t comment but the menu is good with food for all. Pool table, gambling/fruit machines/dart board and TVs in the seating area. I guess for sport? Nice place ❤️❤️❤️

Really enjoyed my afternoon at this pub/restaurant. Went for some food with some mates and the menu was amazing, great choices and the burger was cooked to perfection. Great selection of beers for all drinkers. TVS showing the sports in both sides and a pool table which is always a bonus. Big outside seating area with an additional TV which will be lovely when the weather gets better but also saw a couple of sheltered tables for all weathers. Staff very friendly and helpful Highly recommend

Had my first Sunday gig here.. never been in this pub before. I had no idea it was a greenking. It has been fantastically refurbished. The Food was amazing and the staff a fab!! This place is very up market, perfect for a quiet catch up, date night or all day drinking session! Can't wait to come in the summer as the garden looks amazing! Would recommend!

We had family event there. The service was brilliant and the food was a good quality, served in same time for nearly 20 people! Well done chef and well done all the front house staff! You do really good job over there! What I liked and was surprised with - there was a "first aid toiletries box" in ladies bathroom! Good stuff.

Wonderful place, well worth walking to. In Google we trust and was not wrong. Lovely proper pub, staff are quality. Excellent well priced beer... Everything about this pub is brilliant. Well done to the management for employing excellent staff and just making a proper pub....

Fantastic Decor and furnishings inside and out. Lovely bar garden with nice seating both in sun and shade with TV for football etc. Played nice game of Snooker too- Machine is contactless £1.50 so don't need to worry about having enough coins.

Online states food served until 9pm, we arrived at 8:40 and the kitchen had closed.. Maybe change the times on your website of your not going to stick to them Also this was on a Saturday NOT a Sunday

Lovely outdoor area and nice staff. Great improvement on my last visit a few years back. Looking forward to the next visit.

Recently refurbished this friendly, local pub looks great. Lots of changes have made this a nice environment, the menu looks good too.

10/10 pub, always a great atmosphere and the food is quality. If you’re writing a bad review on this place you defo dunno how to have a good night.

Had the mixed grill, didn’t test the beer as was driving. Mixed grill was good value for money and well cooked with the requested medium rare steak served as requested. Will be back.

Friendly and welcoming atmosphere, recently refitted, with a fabulous outdoor area. Menus are varied, catering for all tastes and very well priced. Live music which is a great touch! Highly recommend a visit.
