The
demolition
derby
this
year
(2023)
was
PITIFUL
at
best…
I
would
have
been
ashamed
to
have
been
the
one
responsible
for
showcasing
that
particular
event.
The
drivers
acted
as
though
they
were
scared
to
smash
into
other
vehicles…
that’s
the
whole
purpose
of
the
derby.
And
the
fact
that
there
was
a
30
minute
pause
before
the
main
event
premiered
for
the
evening
was
not
necessary,
nor
was
the
“drivers
meeting”
at
7:45pm
after
the
event
had
already
begun
at
7:30pm.
And
the
prices
of
everything
were
so
sky
high
on
everything,
it
took
the
pleasure
out
of
being
at
the
fair.
I
understand
they
have
to
make
money,
and
that
the
economy
is
not
the
best
right
now,
but
$8.00
for
an
ear
of
corn,
or
$15.00
for
a
large
bag
of
popcorn
is
a
bit
ridiculous
at
best.
Needless
to
say,
there
are
better
ways
in
which
to
spend
one’s
time
for
entertainment
purposes…
both
financially,
and
time
wise
in
my
humble
opinion.
