I've had good experiences here in the past. The drinks are well made, the workers are quick, and the shop is clean. However, the odd hours and unreliable lobby access is frustrating. For example, today: I live within a mile of this shop, and prefer to walk there in the morning, but the lobby was closed and there was a note saying they were only serving via drive-through, despite Google saying they had dine-in service. This seems to be a widespread company issue, as I've had the same problem with the lobby randomly closing at the Caribou a couple miles away at Duckwood Drive, when I ride my bike there. I know this is the suburbs, but do I really have to drive a car to pick up a 16 oz cup?! If there are staffing issues, I assume it's because there are wage issues, in which case, quit being stingy, corporate CEOs.

This caribou is close to my house, but I’ve stopped going here because wait times are horrendous and staff are not properly trained. Today I tried again - dismal results. Will not be back. I feel bad for the staff being put in this position. The franchise owner or caribou corporate should do something to either trainer and support their people or do away with this location.

I used to love the Farm House morning sandwich, and got it somewhat frequently. Today I learned that it was discontinued which was sad in itself. But the bagel sandwich I had today the "Ham, Bacon, Two Eggs & Cheddar" was absolutely awful. It taste like a microwaved gas station sandwich, and the bagel was hard and rubbery. I could not stomach more than 2 bites, it was atrocious. Hopefully they will refund me for this purchase. Update: My purchase was refunded. I guess they are no longer partnered with Einstein Bagels, they just did not remove the signs from the building. I give them a 5 star review for customer service. I stand by my 1 star rating for the awful sandwich. Update: Einstein Bagels signs have been removed. Therefore, I am updating my review to 5-stars. The food is still a 1-star.

First of all, I just want to say that the sweet lady who took my order was amazing. However, (after she had left), some random girl walked in and behind the counter wearing her hair fully down, didn't wash her hands, didn't put on an apron, and loitered around back there touching food-prep items before leaving ~10 minutes later. Awful food safety. Hoping the barista who took my order moves to a different location because I'm certainly not coming back here.

If I wasn’t sleep deprived and desperate I would never go to this caribou. The last 2 years since they separated from Einstein bagels has been awful service. I don’t remember when it’s take. Less than 20 minutes and I’ve actually gotten the correct order. I’m also convinced staff do not know the difference between traditional and non-dairy milk. Save yourself the trouble and drive to another Caribou or go to the Starbucks down the road!

Waited in line at drive thru despite ordering ahead. It's a great option to have but if you still are stuck waiting on the person in front of you it becomes pointless. I love Caribou and realize the influx of people in the morning! I thank you guys for being there just had to express the online ordering process. I also needed to add a new order to get a gift card as it was not an option with my online order. Happy holidays!

I came to this location yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the service. Wish I got his name, but the man helping me via drive through was extremely courteous and helpful in finding me an alternative to the cinnamon sugar bagel I wanted but they were all out of. Offered me a warm chocolate croissant instead which was amazing. Which is why I wanted to go back today. Today - not a great experience. My boyfriend is not only lactose intolerant but has a dairy allergy that results in his throat closing, hives, the whole nine yards. We’ve had the bagels here before but wanted to confirm via drive through which bagels are dairy free. According to the woman working, none of them were. (???) not sure what’s going on there, if there was a recent change or what, but that’s usually not the case so we were a little bummed. But we veered on the side of caution and asked about the maple brown sugar oatmeal instead. The woman took a moment to check and returned saying that the oatmeal was indeed dairy free. Wonderful. However, my boyfriend had a reaction because it was made with dairy milk. After our visit he checked online and it says that some bagels are indeed dairy free, and that the oatmeal is also dairy free as long as workers use non dairy milk to make it. Unless the website is outdated, it would seem the employee wasn’t aware of crucial information she should relate to customers who ask. So overall, very disappointed in the carelessness of the employees regarding allergens. It shouldn’t be something to take lightly and allergen information should be clear for the employees to communicate to customers.

Absolutely love this location! The staff are always nice and welcoming and my drinks are always made perfectly. Whenever i do order pickup, my drinks are always ready when I arrive.

Charge for pup cups & don’t even include the dog treat in it.. when I could SEE them by the register. Smh. If you hate animals just say that.

About half the time I’ve come to this caribou, I’ve had bad service. It’s not from one person or another, but every employee I’ve run into. I would get it if my order was over the top, but it was an iced latte with raw sugar. The guy tells me there is packets over there. “Oh you want it in the espresso?” I said that’d be great and before I could say it incorporates better instead of sitting at the bottom, he shakes his head at me and complains about it to his coworkers. I shouldn’t have tipped, should have walked away then and there. He hands me the drink and the sugar is all at the bottom. I ended up going to the caribou down the street from my home since I couldn’t drink it. The reason I go to this one is because it’s close to work, but I can’t anymore. I don’t know what needs to happen to make this one better, but something’s gotta change.

Breakfast sandwiches are now prepackaged and microwaved. Used to enjoy going here for coffee and a breakfast sandwich, but now you can't order the way you like it just like that other place. Plenty of places to go that let the customer order food the way they like it. Will not go to this location again. Good luck with putting the customer second. That's not the way to solve the issues there are now.

Thanks so much to Cooper at the entire Caribou crew for their unexpected kindness today! I was having difficulty using the app and Cooper treated me with enormous compassion! The whole staff seems like a hilarious bunch and the coffee was delicious! Thanks so much!

I typically go to the location on Duckwood Drive everyday. They had order ahead shut off today, so I order ahead at this city vue location only to get here to find the doors are locked and they are refusing to let people inside to get there drinks- they forced everyone to wait on in the drive through for 30 min to get a drink. That is unacceptable! If you don’t want people to order ahead then don’t offer the option. The whole point of order ahead is not having the time to wait 30 min. Disappointing behavior by your staff to start the day off

I don’t particularly like leaving bad reviews but when the coffee is as pricey as it is I’d like the order to at least be correct. I order two coffees, different sizes and different types both hot though. I’m handed two of the same cups (Same size) with nothing written on the actual cup to differentiate which is which. When I ask about the size I’m told “he just made them both large” ok- even though I’m pretty sure that was a medium. And when I’m asking about how do I tell which coffee is which I’m told “oh the first one that came out is the caramel” ..the person handed me both at the same time (???) and I ended up drinking the wrong coffee, and giving the second coffee I ordered for a co worker the wrong one. customer service here could be a little better not gonna lie. This is now the 3rd time I’ve had issues at this location which is why I’m now leaving a review.

Usually when I go to this Caribou shop - everyone is really nice and this is a pleasant place to work in! It's very close to my house and I've been going there for a long time. When I stopped by today, it was the first time hearing about the perks app. I didn't realize they won't take your phone # anymore in the drive thru - so when they asked if I had the app, I said I didn't. They proceeded to try and take my order and I mentioned I had a perks account - the lady was really snippy and rude about taking my phone number. There are no signs, and not much information on the website about no longer accepting phone #s. She then continued to be short with me when I pulled up to the window. I don't really see the point of ordering with an app if I'm going through the drive thru - I would definitely use an app if I was going to order ahead and pick up inside. But it's an extra step for me to have to pull out my phone (while driving a car), log in, and do whatever the app does when I can just give a phone number. I'm sure there is some policy change the company has implemented, but it's really a hassle to have to do that. I also don't understand why the worker at the drive thru had to be annoyed with me. I just wanted to get my coffee order and leave - not get a reprimand about needing an app. I actually used to prefer going to Caribou because they didn't force me to have to have an app on my phone like all the other places do.

Always extremely long waits, even when ordered online and very inconsistent in store hours without an accurate or consistent schedule. This one should be closed.

Needed to get a conference call on short notice while driving. This place was open and asked zero questions when I came in and worked for 30 mins before buying anything. Tried their new Lumberjack sandwich. Combines breakfast standards with a bagel-like bun. Would recommend.

Update... they did remake my drink correctly when I drove back over from work. I appreciate that. When I ask for heavy cream.... twice.... to make sure they get it right since they often don't.... and I still get half & half... when for dietary reasons I need one and not the other. Sorely disappointed in the service here and caribou in general, since this has happened to me at multiple locations. Please improve your customer service.
