Beautiful beach. Pic is a shot from the top of the stairs. It's worth a stop. Millions of small rounded rocks make up some large part of the shoreline, followed by sand, and then vegetation. The cool breeze and soft sound of the surf were a great resting spot for a while.

Amazing place to visit a red rock beach. Very little people around and very private.

Beautiful beach! Went looking for rocks on a cool, foggy day. Absolutely stunning!

Clean beautiful beach with stairs from the parking lot. Great place to stop and relax or have a picnic. The view of the lake is very pretty, just shoreline and water. Nothing else to see, just explore the beach!

It was raining and empty and gorgeous. The steps down are in great shape, the 10 different hues of red rocks on the beach will keep any rock hound busy for a very long time, and finally the walk up the stairs were tiring :)

Very beautiful place to stop and hang out, lots of rocks to sort through and pick from. Not a place to camp at for those that want to camp in the outdoors. But a great place to hang out on a sunny day.

One of my favorite places in the Keweenaw peninsula. The view from there is incredible. Great location for rock hunting!

Both a beautiful beach and view! The stairs are an easy climb down but a little long on feeling the way back up!

As always, this view from the top of the sand cliffs is stunning and serene, a magical spot to peer off into Lake Superior or take the stairs down the stone pebble lake. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous spot. Plentiful parking at the top of the stairs with an easy descent to the beach below. There are several large pieces of driftwood that make for good places to sit and have lunch by the lake. Yet another great place in the peninsula to admire some beautiful rocks. The only downside to this is that self-proclaimed rock-hounds ("rock-clowns", as I like to call them) will walk across the beach and horde unique stones by the buckets' worth, as if they are an infinite resource. My advice would be to find one or two that fancy you and take them as souvenirs if you deem it necessary. This way, more people can come to this beach for generations and admire the rocks within.
